Fantastic!! The house is 100 years old. It's a rental that needed complete renovation. Justin and his crew were great! Justin is very professional and efficient. He quickly gave me exact estimates for everything and his prices were very fair. The crew came on time each day. When floors and other projects were finally finished (by other companies), Justin quickly sent his crew back to complete the cabinet refinishing, which he wanted to do at the end of all the projects. The replastered walls and ceilings look new, the refinished cabinets are beautiful. Doors now open and close smoothly. The crew speaks a few different languages but they all communicated in English when working together and speaking to me. Hard working immigrants make our country great! I will definitely be calling Justin back for more projects in my other house.
Pine Tree Painting was terrific. Everything was topnotch. I highly recommend them. There were a number of different issues with my painting. The original was about $2100 but then I kept adding things and I ended up paying about $4000 for two bedrooms, two baths plus taking all the doors off kitchen cabinets and repainting them. I still feel like it was worth the money. They were always early and I never had to call them. They were always very friendly and considerate especially since I am in a condo complex and I found that in the morning, they would always be whispering when I talked to them. They were always very very considerate and they found things around my condo that they would repair without me even asking them to.
Description of Work: I've used them about 10 years ago for my apartment and it wasn't for drywall, but it was to paint my entire condo. They painted my kitchen cabinet as well and drywall that I had put up. They actually repaired.

It went badly. Pine Tree is overbooked yet they still take work. They were stressed, overwhelmed, and irritated with even having to do the job after acting happy to take the job and promising everything would go super smoothly, and that I'd be delighted by their work. It is very difficult to communicate with Pine Tree because there wasn't a single person on the crew that spoke workable English. Pine Tree agreed to paint around my exterior lights when I had them installed and said just call them when I was ready and they would happily come back. That job has still not been done and when I called, texted, and emailed for them to come back, they didn't respond. I kept following up, and eventually got an angry call from Justin while I was at work and he just made excuses, blamed me, and wouldn't let me speak. That is a major theme with Pine Tree, they say and quot;no problemand quot; when asked to do something, they act very easy-going and customer-focused, then they don't respond to calls or emails, then they get angry and blame the customer. I am actually having to hire another painting company to finish their work. In addition to all of the above, I had to have them redo some of their work because they rushed through the job. A horizontal rail that runs along the front of my house was painted so badly we had to have them re-do it. But, that didn't stop Pine agree from demanding payment before that, and before a walk through could be performed. That was very disappointing and creepy. I could go on and on. Save yourself the trouble and frustration and hire another company.
Description of Work: Paint exterior of house. Install exterior wall lighting. Paint entry way door and rear kitchen door.

We have been using them for years and I would give them highest ratings. I like the quality of work, the good price and easiness to schedule. They do it when they say they are going to do it, what more could you ask for. The last time it cost somewhere between $1500 and $2000. The pricing is good.

Their work is very clean and efficient. They did a good job. They were able to fix issues at my request.
Description of Work: They scraped our ceiling and patched it up. They painted our whole interior of house including walls, ceilings, trim, and kitchen cabinets too. I don't remember how much I paid but their price was fair.

Well, first of all, Justin's estimate was extremely reasonable. We had one other estimate that was more than double! Justin scheduled the job for the following week. His guys came and in very short order got to the job. Justin came and let me know that 5 of my sills were too bad to simply paint. He had to put in new wood and shape it. He quoted me only $50 per sill over my initial estimate. I found that extremely reasonable and agreed. They finished the job within 4 days. the following week white spots started appearing in several places in the walls. I called Justin to see if he could come take a look. He never responded, however the following week his guys just showed up and spent about 4 hours fixing it. His foreman told me that it was an acid problem. They treated the areas and repainted and fixed all of it in short order with no extra charge. Totally pro job and my house looks incredible! I could not be happier and would highly recommended Justin Hur and his crew to paint your house!
Description of Work: Painted exterior of my house, trim and doors. Repaired several sills and a long kick board that was rotting.

A friend referred me to Pine Tree Painting well over a year ago. She and another friend had them do some interior painting. Both friends are very particular, so I felt certain that they would do a great job.Once we decided to have the work done, I called and had them provide me with an estimate for not only a complete interior paint job for our close to 2000 square foot home, but I had them provide an estimate for the exterior painting along with some window and screen repair. I am not exaggerating when I say that it was a BIG JOB -- lots of work on an older home that hadn't been properly prepped and painted in many years. The estimate they provided was very competitive -- I couldn't find another company that would come close. So -- a few months ago, Pine Tree Painting painted the entire inside of our home -- The prep work was tedious. They did an excellent job. They were on time, clean and professional. I was especially impressed because even once the job was complete, I had a few minor things that needed attention and they were here within a day or two and did the work with no additional charge. They truly take care and pride in their work. The much bigger job was the outside of our home -- Our home was built in 1925 and the windows and garage had been painted over and over again without proper prepping. Water damage had begun to peal and deteriorate the painting on the side of the garage. The windows in guest unit were made of materials not as sturdy as the redwood in the main home, and because they had not been properly sealed and prepped, they had begun to warp and wear. They were a mess. They didn't even close properly. Screens in the french doors were falling apart. There was just tons of work to be done. Nevertheless, Justin (the owner), had provided an estimate to help us bring the entire outside of the home back to a presentable state. It took quite a bit of work, but the team that Justin assigned to do the job(s) was professional and hard-working. I could not believe how much work they all did on a daily basis -- arrived early and worked 8 hours each day. Today, they completed the job and the house looks like new. It is honestly probably the best it has looked in many many years. I have already received compliments from neighbors. I am very happy with our home -- It is transformed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pine Tree Painting to anyone that is looking for an excellent painter -- especially at their competitive rates!
Description of Work: Interior painting of 2000 square foot home -- entire home, many paint colors.Exterior painting of same home including second structure -- garage and guest unit. Job included screen replacements and refurbishing several windows.

Excellent
Description of Work: Justin and his team did excellent work. We had just purchase dour home and he did several rooms as well as touch up work throughout. We needed the work done between the close and our scheduled move date. they worked through the evening and weekend to get the job done well. They even had to peel wallpaper, found 2 layers, and just handled it. They were professsional, prompt and very well priced.

When Justin came to my home to give me his estimate I felt that he was polite and courteous, removing his shoes before entering the house, etc. We discussed work to be done in each room in detail. He seemed to understand the scope of the work to be done. He then handed me his proposal and his price seemed very good for the amount of work that needed to be done. That should have been my first clue. He said the work would take about 3 days which I thought was awfully fast. Well the reason it was so fast and less than the other painters I interviewed is because his crew is horrible. A 10-year-old would have done a better job. They were sloppy, spattering paint all over my hardwood floors and my newly installed doors, and leaving the trash from their lunch on our neighbors lawn! They are not qualified painters at all. They would just paint right over holes in the walls and not sand the patchwork that they did do. Then Justin had the nerve to try to charge extra for painting window sills.
Description of Work: I Hired Justin Hur of Pinetree Painting to paint 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, & 2 small hallways. Work was to include all patchwork & priming of walls, baseboards, window sills, & all mouldings in each room. His crew covered my furniture & wood floors with plastic but still somehow managed to sling paint onto all the surrounding doors & then did not clean the mess. My husband was so angry he said he would not pay for this horrible job until it was done as discussed. I cannot emphasize enough how stressful this experience was for my husband & I with this company. I found this company on Angie's list & they were given an A Rating, so therefore thought they must be good. But I could not have been more wrong. I do not know who these people are that report to Angie's List & give companies such as this one an A, & even put them on the POH. But they are obviously people who have very low standards. I will not ever use the List again to find quality companies!

Jin and his crew of 2 assistants were at my house every morning by 8 am and worked throughout the day. It took them 4 and a half days to do the interior. They were neat, clean, and very careful with protecting my furniture and items. They really made sure the paint job was professional- in one room, they found some paint was bubbling in some areas so they scraped it off, put primer, and started from scratch. They painted 3 coats when necessary. I had a problem with one color being brighter than I wanted so we went to the paint store together to get the color fixed. They did not speak English fluently but they understood everything I said and the communication was not a problem. They did a terrific job. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Pine Tree Painting did the exterior of my house in 2002, so I asked them to do the interior in April 2006. Justin Hur, the owner, came out & gave me an estimate right away. They painted all the interior rooms- 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, living, dining, & family rooms. They also did all the closets, ceilings, & baseboards, including patching cracks from settling. I even had them replace some rotted drywall by my shower. The total cost was $3,000, including the paint.
