Landmark Energy Upgrades

Ezra and Charles are very friendly and personable. That is, when they want to take your money. What good is a 12-year warranty if you start ignoring your customers at 2 years. I needed my HVAC replaced. Because the HVAC sits on my roof, I decided to redo the roof too. Ezra and Charles came out and were really friendly so I immediately had a good impression of them. Even though it would’ve been cheaper to go with a roofer and a separate HVAC company, I decided to go with Landmark Construction Crew, aka Landmark Energy Upgrades. I figured it would be a more seamless process for one company to do both. I got this done in December of 2016. The thing with a roof is that you don’t know if it’s a good job or not until it rains so I waited to write a review. Around January 2018 ( a little over a year later ) we got some much needed rain but unfortunately, I had a leak coming from one of my vents. I emailed Ezra and he sent out a roofer. The roofer came, looked at the vent, jumped up on the roof for ten minutes and said he was done. Months later, it rained again, it leaked again, I emailed Ezra again. I decided to take a closer look at the vent and noticed that there was sunlight in the ductwork. I figured sunlight equals gap somewhere. When the roofer came, I told him and he said it’s nothing, probably just a reflection, without even taking a look. Then the roofer tells me that the next time there is a leak, I need to call the HVAC guy because it’s not a roof problem. I couldn’t believe it so I told him that HIS company IS the HVAC guy!! I used one company to do the roof and the HVAC so there is NOBODY else to blame. So, he jumps back on the roof and was done and gone in 10 minutes. About a month goes by and the rain is back and so is my leak. It’s 2019 so it rained a lot this year. Good for California, bad for me. So, I emailed Ezra again. After a few weeks, no reply. So, I email him again with pictures, a few more weeks go by and no reply. So, I call him and he picked up the phone. He sounded surprised to hear from me (probably didn’t recognize my phone number) and I start telling him about the leak. He said he didn’t get my emails but just text him my address and he’ll send somebody. A couple of weeks goes by and nothing. So, I text him again and after weeks and weeks of waiting, no reply. I’ve emailed, called, and texted so, at this point, it’s very obvious he’s avoiding me. If you are looking for a friendly company that is willing to take your hard-earned cash then Landmark is for you. But if you’re looking for a company that is accountable for their work then look elsewhere. I know I am.

They never called back which is unusual for an A rating company.

Overall, they did a good job. They are friendly and very helpful. we had a little mess to clean up after, but to be fair, I didn't complain -- if i had they would have come back. Preferably they would have come back to check on their own.

I'm very happy with the work that was done by Landmark construction and energy crew. At first, we met with Ron that came over and met with us about the issues that we had with our water heater and with the bills that we currently pay for electric. Ron recommended us to replace the bulky old water heater and to install a tankless system that will supply hot water immediately and with the use of less gas. We liked that idea and we decided to go for this project. Ron came over to our house with his 2 people that basically took care of all the removal and the installation of the new system. The work that they did took only 2 days from start to finish and now we have more space at the garage, and the bills are much lower than before….

We found Landmark construction energy crew, after being frustrated in the past from other contractors. From the initial meeting that we had with Charlie, we were impressed. Their values of customer satisfaction and their deliver everything they said. Charlie was the manager of the work and he was on time for all the meetings that we had with him. He was very straight, kindly and motivated to be invited into our house. He came back and took all the measurements that he needed for the kitchen, asked us many questions about what we would like to include in the new kitchen and 3 days after, he brought us a 3D design for us to look at and see how it will most likely look like. It was exciting to see how fast they could generate a nice design. Charlie knew what he’s doing and we were sure he has done this type of jobs many times before. Their prices are reasonable. We wanted our kitchen finished as soon as possible, so we agreed with Charlie to start the following week. That gave us little time to buy all the appliances, hardware, countertops, tiles Etc… Charlie personally went with us to 2 showrooms where we picked out our tiles and countertops. He also helped us to search and buy all the options for the (sink, faucet, hardware and more…). To be honest, I was probably a nightmare type of work. We moved out of our place during the month of the remodeling and we were a little worried that something would go wrong and we would end up on a terrifying remodeling show. Now after this remodeling is over, we can say clearly that is nothing to worry about when Landmark construction energy crew are working at your house. Their workers was clean, friendly, willing to answer questions. I discovered that Charlie visits the job site every few days, but he too sincerely cares about your home. He always called regarding the schedule, timeline or if there was a problem that need to be solved. We asked for changes to the electric wiring after the tiles have been installed. Would I recommend them to others? Absolutely yes. We will refer this company to all our friends.

Landmark construction and energy crew executed a whole kitchen renovation for us, including custom cabinets, new floors, new countertops, electrical (sub panel with lights and switches), recessed lighting covering, plumbing fixtures, took down wall to expand the kitchen area by merging it to the living room space. The cost included all the materials for cabinets and countertops, backsplash tiles, new floors and the appliances. We are thrilled with our new kitchen! Charlie, Nir and the workers did an excellent work and while the whole job was completed in less than a month. You could see how hard they worked in order to keep the work moving so it will be done in that time period that they originally promised us. On top of that, they worked hard to get things to our requirements (i.e. to stain the cabinets, complete the paint etc…). We all were pleasant and satisfied to have them work at our house and mainly with Charlie (project manager) that was approachable and supportive when we had requests or problems. I must mention that on few times, we were bothered with some of the workers when they didn’t show up when they should, or worked more hours on the electricity panel. Clearly enough, it’s normal that you must have to handle a lot of problems when you decide on going for this type of project. The final cost was the same as we agreed with them at first, although we were sure that it will be increased due to some additional things that we did during the work and that were not included in the first estimate/agreement. Overall, we would give LANDMARK CONSTRUCTION AND ENERGY CREW Construction a strong recommendation!

I hired Landmark construction & energy crew for a 650 sq/ft. of living room addition. Before we hired them, we already had all the necessary plans on hand including all the secured building permits with the city. When it comes to workmanship and speed, I must admit that landmark construction was very fast while investing extra attention to perfection. All the teams of workers worked fast even when it came to fixes and adjustments. They replaced the wood floor with new engineered wood flooring, repainted the entire ceiling and one living room wall and blended new stucco on the exterior wall. The new addition required new foundation, framing, and window installation. We are thoroughly content with all the work that was completed by landmark construction & energy crew. 1) they made sure to cover everything all around the working area in order to prevent damages and extra work due to paint spots and dust from all the sanding. 2) They came to work on a daily basis and few times they skipped work BUT they made sure to confirm that 2 days ahead. This was very responsible from them to do. 3) Charlie the Project Manager was available and reached all the time. When he couldn’t talk or answered, he called within the hour. In regards to pricing… the price that we got from Landmark construction & energy crew was in the middle range. Charlie came over to the house several times to discuss about the details and the process of the project, and after that he start working on the estimate.

I was not surprised to read and see that Landmark construction energy crew have such an excellent reputation online, as I would also recommend them and their jobs. We hired them to paint the exterior and interior of our house few months ago and they did a remarkable job. The job went on without any problem or issues even though we were not at the house part of the time due to a trip that we went on. The quality of the work that they did get into a minor delay and it took longer than expected, but it was not because of their fault. Before we hired Landmark construction energy crew, we had other contractors in at the same time and they were getting in each other’s way. When the paint project was completed, we were very satisfied with the final results. Our house looks brand new now and we can't say enough good things about how beautiful it came out. Charlie was the nicest and lovely man during the project and he was very in-depth, extremely detail oriented and he didn’t cut corners in any way. Charlie with his workers went above and beyond on our job to make us pleased and we felt like they treated our house as if it was his own. Charlie took pride in the job that they were doing and the final work can show that very clear. It’s sad to mention but those days, it’s very hard to find workers like that anymore. We also were very pleased with Jose (the main painter that ran the show when Charlie was not around). Joe stayed in close contact with Charlie and us as the job developed. The pricing for this whole work was very fair and they were willing to work around our though schedule. If you’re in need of a very good and reliable painting company, one who values your business and truly wants you to be satisfied when they are done, then hire Landmark construction energy crew. We never felt they just wanted to get the money and be done. Their first priority was our happiness! Thanks, Charlie and especially Jose.

After a while of extensive research in finding for the right contractor or construction company to upgrade our kitchen, we decided based on several reasons to go with Landmark construction energy crew and we are so glad we did. The reasons that made us hiring this company were: - We felt during the meetings that this company is honest, reliable, focus on making the best decisions for the clients and mainly their passion about what they do and provide. Although the results of the remodeling that was done by Landmark construction energy crew has far exceeded our expectations and goals. Charlie's professionalism and experience among with his artistic vision was truly amazing. From the moment of listening to what we really want to achieve to the end of the remodeling of the kitchen – not even one item was left uncovered. My favorite feature in the new kitchen is definitely the breakfast area with the gorgeous energy efficient windows including the seating area that overlooks our pool and back yard area. We really could go on and on with lots of more details and explanations about the attention to detail and amazing design that was done completely by this company, but we rather leave it for others. Our main recommendation about them is that if you think of hiring someone to remodel anything in your house… Than do yourself a favor and hire Landmark construction energy crew.

We had a kitchen remodeling project redone by replacing all the old cabinets in the same cabinet shapes, adding few new cabinets after expanding the kitchen space and adding a window where the stove is, new marble countertops, designed backsplash, under cabinet sink and faucet and few other items including the high efficiency appliances. Everyone that we came across during the work was: a. extremely professional b. knowledgeable about their area of expertise c. on time d. cheerful e. positive attitudes f. helpful when questions arose g. Efficient. This included the designer, manager, Charlie the project manager, installers and sub-contractors. During the remodeling Charlie took a great care about this project and he made sure to keep the rest of the house as clean as possible. All the people that worked at the house on a daily basis, left the work area neat and clean after each day's efforts. It was refreshing to work with this company because they gave us the best respect and attention while listening to all of our comments and questions. In regards to the documents and contract, the office made sure that we will understand each aspect from it even though it was easy to read and understand. We as clients definitely feel that we got what we paid for. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Since this remodeling was the first remodeling that we decided to do after a long time since we did our last remodeling that required to hire a contractor to do it. The kitchen that we wanted to remodel, need to includes the cabinets, floors, island, counter tops, hardware, paint and lighting. We also wanted to do as many energy efficient features that will help us reducing the bills during time. Our search was for high quality and low quality and reputable construction companies that can service my area. Landmark construction energy crew was the great find that I was able to talk to and hire. First off their service was top notch. They were very responsive from the first meeting we had, patiently and really wanted to know what I’m trying to do in the kitchen. They were in touch with me during the whole work and made sure to provide me with updates regard anything that was complete and what will be next. What I liked most was that they were extremely detail-oriented. I very much appreciated that, especially given the Major scope of my project and plans. The end results were more than I expected. All the low voltage lightings, the special insulation that they used, the extra protection that they installed in the window that I have in the kitchen and more… All of this features improved the energy protection at the kitchen. They followed up with me the following day after all the final documents were signed off by me about the work in order to make sure that I was happy with the final results. I'm happy to mention that kitchen remodeling project was completed a little bit before the due date.

We needed a new roof for our house. Our ‘old’ roof had few leaks and several problems that required the replacement with a new one. The last rain resulted in a water leak to the bedrooms area. So, we called Landmark construction energy upgrade because they did our neighbor's roof a year ago and they gave us an estimate at that time. This time, they just updated the estimate and they were able to lower it, which was cheaper than the other estimates we got. The good feeling was much better because it’s a family business who not only give the bid but do the work. No hard sell here or having the bid from one guy but the work is with unknown others - as it was with other bids. Landmark did the job so good and very fast as well which was awesome! The workers from Landmark made sure to clean the roof and they did a quality work. The roof was a mess with lots of humps, bumps and terrible pad for the Air conditioning. They rebuilt it all, and had people who came to do specialty tasks, such as hooking up the dish, the air conditioning condenser etc.… More than that, they also fixed the gutters and made sure they are connected correctly. All in all, this project is complete and done. We are no longer have to deal with the old roof and leaks for at least for 20 years. Before we did the new roof, The office staff helped us with the Cool Roof rebate from the power company and the federal tax rebate for an Energy Star roof, both of which we were not aware. Landmark construction energy upgrade are now our roofers who did a great work and have other great contractors to supplement for special tasks and run an all-around energy efficient business. If we ever move or we have a natural disaster, we know who will work for us.

It didn't. Ezra showed up late to our house for the initial appointment, obviously having forgotten as he arrived with no paper to write on, no measuring tape, etc. Regardless, we had a good meeting, and he had some good ideas for what we were looking for, He said he'd work on plans and estimates right away and get back to us in a few days. Here is what happened next... - The following Wednesday (8 days later) I called for an update and was told Ezra was unavailable but would call me back ASAP. No call received - Thursday - Called again since I hadn't heard back. Was told Ezra was in a meeting and very busy with other jobs, but he had gotten the message and would get back to me later that day. No call received - Monday - The receptionist I had spoken to called me to let me know that Ezra was still very busy, but that he was working on our plans and would send them Tuesday and that she would call me Tuesday morning when he sends them. - Wednesday (Today) - I have still not received any email, have never heard back from Ezra (I haven't spoken with him since he left my house 15 days ago) and have not received anything. In case this timing seems unreasonable, we met with several other contractors, including one a day before Ezra. Since that time that contractor has now been to our house 4 times to review various things about our remodel. We have already met with his cabinet maker, window supplier, and have set a start date for our project. Obviously Ezra and Landmark are too busy too handle our project. While I am thrilled that people out there are doing so much work on their houses, I think common courtesy to call or email a customer back is not that hard. We are very disappointed with how this went, but happily found a contractor who cared enough to work on our $50k+ kitchen renovation.

I interviewed six solar companies and got bids from three. Charlie of Landmark construction & energy crew stood out much more above the other companies that I spoke and met with. He is responsive, always returned my calls quickly and he does what he says he is going to do. Charlie came over to my house and met with me before installation, during the installation and after. In addition he worked with his crew at the beginning of installation to make sure everything was perfect with a tricky area of my roofline. Above all of what I wrote above, Charlie and the office staff are very organized people. Charlie was able to provide me with a lot of information about rebates, taxes etc… and Every bit of information I could want related to monitoring my system, working with Landmark construction & energy crew, maximizing the cost benefits, and getting my tax rebate, are all gathered and clearly labelled in a binder. Charlie knew how to explain everything about solar and I could see during our meetings how much patient he have. Charlie didn't have to push anything in order to sell his work to me because his product was the one I wanted, it made sense, and the price was better than others. I can't think of a contractor and I've worked with quite a few once in the past and for this project, I met with several ones as well and Landmark construction & energy crew is more reliable, efficient, and customer-oriented. I found these company online and I hired them to replace all the existing windows and patio doors with new fiberglass (Milgard) Ultra windows and a double French door from them a few months ago for our renovation. They provided us with an awesome price for the windows and doors themselves and for the labor of the installation as well. The representative that I spoke to was very professional and he came over to my house on the time and day that was scheduled ahead of time via the office. The people that we were involved with (including the installers and the sales man), was definitely outstanding. We had a minor issues that accorded during install, and they provided awesome post-sale support as well. I recommended them to all my friends and family as a great company for any energy efficient products. They are fantastic. And have some Sunday hours, which is absolutely a great help. We purchased 2 additional exterior doors from them and this was an add on that we decided to do in the last minute and after the work was stated. We were sure that they won’t be able to do it during the same time… but they did it and it went so smooth and excellent. Should've gone to Landmark construction energy crew for those too. You can shop with confidence with them!

We are so happy with our new energy efficient windows! We remolded our house and this part of the remodeling was pretty much the best thing we've included. Ezra from Landmark construction energy crew was awesome and very patient with us. I showed up late for our scheduled appointment but Ezra went back over everything he had already discussed with my husband and answered all my questions and concerns. Landmark construction energy crew's prices were very comparable with the other estimates we got, but they had "extras" in there package that weren't included in the others which actually made them a better value. The installation was a little rough, the crew was at our house all day for 2 weeks in a row, but in their defense we had a lot of windows to replace (20 in total). In the end there were a couple of little things that needed to be fixed. We had few issues with the windows after the work was completed and we called Ezra thinking that he will never call us back now that the work was completed and all the money was paid…. BUT He actually got right back to us and sent someone out the following day to address all the small things we wanted to be fixed. The windows are spectacular, Ezra is awesome, and all the people we dealt with at Landmark construction energy crew Vision Windows were amazing.

I highly recommend Landmark construction energy crew. We live in a waterfront home and we have had several drafty & leaky windows, some of them single glass and the rest are double glass, (18 windows). And a lot of them were odd shapes, not just rectangles and squares. Five of the windows had to be new construction (not just replacement) to bring them up to work. We called Landmark construction energy crew and Ezra and Charlie came over to our house and gave us an estimate for the complete work. Both of them were very informative, honest and made us feel relaxed and confident about this work and about hiring them for that. Ezra assured us that this was a big job and that it will take close to 3 weeks to complete the replacement of them, but they could do it. And they did. Overall it took them about a month to order and manufacture all the windows. The installation crew, including Jason, Jose, and Roberto, did a beautiful job. It took five days, but the house was always left clean after the work day was done. The installation was beautifully done. What a pleasant experience. And we love our new windows. Ezra at Landmark construction energy crew is a perfect company in my book! I honestly recommend Ezra and his team of plumbers, because he his honesty and integrity, qualities that are sadly hard to find these days! Ezra was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the tankless water heater system that we installed, and he was kind enough to come over and take a look at our new unit after it was installed and to check with us that the monthly bills came down as well. In addition to that, Ezra installed our new tankless water heater with the remote control that connects outside the tankless water heater. Because the remote control was not waterproof and if it will be installed inside the water heater, it would short circuit if it got wet enough. Thank you Ezra for going above and beyond for a "customer" who didn't even get to use you! Much appreciated. I will definitely be using Landmark construction energy crew to service my new tankless water heater when it needs it!

Ezra and his crew from Landmark construction energy crew replaced 13 wooden slider windows with double-hung UV and sound-dampening windows. When he came over, he measure all the windows and checked them to make sure that he will provide us with the best windows. Ezra and his supervisor arrived to my house right on time, more than that, his office contacted us before the meeting and when he was on the way to give us even more accurate estimate of when he would arrive. This consideration and respect continued throughout the process of installation. In total we had 4 workers working, led by Charlie, and they finished the job as predicted in approximately the same day. They cleaned up well and Charlie took time to answer our questions before leaving. There was a manufacturing problem that was not at all related to Ezra's work or his company. He called and talked to the manufacturer, making sure that they will deliver the new windows and he did all he could to make sure that the windows worked correctly, coming out and putting in additional time himself. We absolutely recommend Ezra's and Landmark construction energy crew! We would have them return for any additional work we might need. The courtesy, knowledge and experience exhibited by Ezra and his crew is seldom encountered today, and it was a pleasure to work with a local company.

My house always have an electric bill issue with the AC going all summer long and everything we used today being electronic. This issue caused me to start and look for a company that can lower my bills by installing a solar panel system or any other type of a solution. Since switching to nuclear power was frowned upon by my neighbors and the federal government, I decided solar panels would be worth a try. After looking and researching on several companies, I decided to meet and talk to the representative from Landmark construction and energy crew. Ezra and his staff over at Landmark Construction were great. Ezra walked me through the whole process and he was completely honest and accurate with the pricing and time schedule. The system that he recommended me was a 3.1 kW system with panels on the roof of the house. He had the time to tell me how will it go and what will be the final results after the system will be fully installed and working. I have a past experience work in the construction industry and I know competence and good workmanship, these guys know what they are doing and do it well. I was very satisfied with the work and with the system that they installed at my house. My utilities bills came down as Ezra said they will. I would recommend them to anyone considering solar power.

We decided to go green and to replace the water heater and to install a tankless system and a solar panel system. We met several times with Ezra and Charlie and we spoke and covered everything that involved with this and to know exactly what can i earn from that. Ezra proved me that he is very knowledgeable and he knew exactly what system will fit us most. The work that they did took close to a month and Ezra and his office did it as a hassle free project for us. We are very happy with them and the company itself.

He explained to me each of the things he was doing, what he looked for in an audit, and what to expect. He also answered all of my questions about the kind of improvements that were worth it and those that were a waste of money. We were required to have an Energy Audit to sell our home and our realtor recommended Ezra from Landmark construction & energy crew. Lucky for us, Ezra found no recommendations and gave us a good "bill of health." What I like more is that if he does have recommendations, he doesn't perform any work himself, providing a truly unbiased opinion. I fully plan on having Ezra perform an audit of our next home, whether it is required or not.

Landmark construction Energy Crew did a room addition to our house, it was clear that additions are their specialty. This was the first time we remodeling so we were new to the process and to the stages of the project, Ezra, was our project manager, took care of everything and it went smoothly. We are really happy and satisfied with the results and are so happy we went with them. All the workers were always on time, they are honest and open to ideas and questions we had. We knew we wanted to add another bedroom to our house but were not really sure about the specifics. They shared their ideas while working with ours, they truly know how to work with their customers which made this whole experience so much easier. We heard stories in the past about companies surprising customers with hidden fees which results in paying more for the project than originally planned. The price we agreed on was the same from beginning to end.

David completed my kitchen floor, and I couldn't be happier. After a leaky water line behind my fridge left my floor flooded and un-salvageable, I decided to put out some time and to see if there were any good tile company. I had a few different contractors give estimates, some higher and some lower than David, but I immediately had a great feeling about him as he took the time to explain the process, how he would approach the project, and he paid particular attention to the details that I had initially overlooked (sealing the grout, how tiles line up, pattern ideas, transition pieces, etc.) He started the work early Monday morning (showed up exactly on time), and he was meticulous with the prep work to ensure my place remained clean and un-impacted by the dust. I left him unsupervised the majority of the weekend, trusted him in my place and tried to stay out of his way. I returned to a finished product that was absolutely AMAZING! I'll be honest, I'm pretty fastidious, especially when dealing with something like flooring. With that being said, the tile was put down PERFECTLY! Completely level, cut precisely to the wall, joints are error-free, exceptional work… I would absolutely recommend Steve to anyone looking for a true professional to drive a quality tile project. He cares about his work, and he cares about his customer. I truly couldn't give a higher recommendation.

After hearing a lot about solar systems and how they can lower the utilities bills, I start to search and see what I can get in regards to discounts and how much will it cost to implement. I contacted several companies and I started to meet with them and to see what they have to offer. One of the companies that I met and talked to was Landmark construction. My researched about them revealed that they are reliable, honest and they do finish any job they are taking. My meeting with Ezra was very good and I learned a lot from him about solar panels and systems. Ezra explained to me what can he do and what it will require in order to install. The solar system that he recommended me came with a good promotion from the state and the bills should come down a lot. The work that he did took close to a month due to all the back work that needed to be done prior. My system is fully working now and I’m very pleased with the work that they did. Ezra is a great communicator person that made sure to inform me about any stage that he completed during the work. His office staff are great too and they always returned my calls within a normal time after I left a message or an email.
