 + -1 moreWe are delighted! Previously we have had a tremendous amount of problems with flaking and peeling on the west side of our house. Bill and his co-worker, knowing this spent a painstaking amount of time prepping especially the west side, and then power washing the entire house. We really were impressed and appreciated this. Also, Bill was very patient with our dithering about regarding color choices and graciously got more samples for us to test out. The end result is beautiful, a really professional job-- my pet peeves are sloppy application, drips, and minor missed spots and there were none! And he cleaned up the site and came back a day later to look over the entire job one more time and do minor touch ups. Bill is meticulous and he wants you the customer to be happy! We definitely are!
Description of Work: Entire exterior of wood and stucco house and carport and iron railings around front of the house. Also, stained new door, new door frame, and new window above door.

 + -1 moreOUTSTANDING! In the year since we bought our house, we've had work done inside and out. Many times the contractors we hired were flaky and incompetent. We were ECSTATIC with the job Mr. Chacon did from showing up on time every time, to giving us an estimate that was exceedingly fair, to helping us select the right color, to bringing over multiple samples and testing them on our house, to working on the weekend to get the job done on time. I am often leery about Angie's recommendations. We would use them again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for a painter, look no further. This company is responsible, courteous, and accountable and that is the absolute truth.
Description of Work: Exterior painting of trim from dark color to white. Lots of small spaces that required careful touch.

 + -1 moreAbsolutely superb job. The presentation was very professional, and the work started on short notice. There was a fairly detailed discussion up front on how the job was to proceed, and what things needed attention. All was executed to highest expectations.
Description of Work: Painted the fence, patio cover, and a portion of the house front. Extensive masking before painting.

He called me back and said he knew of someone else who would be better for my project, a man who specializes in sign painting, who followed up with me right away. The man from first rate (sorry, don't remember his name) was very courteous and professional.
Description of Work: I needed painting on the outside of the building, for my business, plus sign painting.

 + 0 moreWe are very detailed oriented people and First Rate Painting went beyond our expectations. The price was a fair exchange for the quality of work completed by First Rate Painting. We recommend them to anyone who wants to get the job done right and worry free. We feel if we had took the lowest bid the quality of work would have not been done to our high standard of living. First Rate Painters are communicative, understanding and caring. They have everything under a clearly written contract with no surprises. They were always there when they said they would be and they were fast, sharp and followed through the estimated time of completion. I might add that their business is family owned and operated and they were born and raised in Los Angeles. In other words, they do speak fluent English for those non-bi-linguists out there! $4000.00 Interior $5000.00 Exterior
Description of Work: FULL EXTERIOR & INTERIOR Overall, they repaired and painted our 4,000 square feet home both interior and exterior. They power washed and cleaned all surfaces before anything, which many painters do not do, so we were happy about that. they also repaired any tiny holes and cracks on the interior and exterior walls and did a superb job sanding! Our old window sills hadn t been touched in almost twenty years, but First Rate sanded them to the bone and fixed any loose or cracked seals the window casings actually look brand new! There was no huge mess while they were working because they cleaned up as they went and were delightful to be around and very respectful of our property. They masked and covered windows and property prior to painting and took extra time to help us choose very modern colors for our exterior and interior of our home. Outstanding prep work on the job! Lastly, they consulted us on restoration work before even lifting a paintbrush!
