I have two really old wall AC units of different sizes and plug voltages that needed replacing. I looked at AC units online and saw how pricey they were and I wanted someone to install it since I am not sure about possibly replacing a wall sleeve and the stucco work that may ensue. I noticed Feder's has been around for a very long time and I actually grew up as a kid seeing them in the neighborhood back in the 80's. So I gave it a shot and walked in. They have a lot of different things going on here with fridges, appliances, and AC/heaters. Not a deep selection but they carry all the appropriate sizes and power plug requirements you will need with a brand name. I asked David Santizo about the cost of the units and found the Frigidaire to be almost half off Amazon.com price. Installation was only $79 barring if the sleeve doesn't need to be replaced. Which, fortunately didn't and was installed like a glove on the existing old sleeve in my living room. The other odd size unit was a window unit that was converted for through the wall purposes that needed more work and so they hired a contractor to install and customize the fit for $250. That Artic King AC unit was sold at normal retail compared to Amazon.com and matched the size of my old one that was in the bedroom. I asked David about the price and he said it's off season and would cost more if it were summer. I jumped on the deal. We arranged to get it done later that week. They came and measured to make sure everything would be fine before installation and removed the old units and installed the new units. They even took pictures and tested the AC units to make sure it was done correctly and worked. They cleaned up and even took away the boxes the units came in since I didn't need them and would of been trashed. So for about $1000, I got two wall AC units with installation and my old ones removed. What a great deal! These were not the super efficient $50 rebated qualified AC units that cost a lot more, but decently efficient and greater value ones with names I trusted. I am definitely coming back to these guys.
