City Lights Electric

Tony and Chris from City Lights electric were great to work with. We had all of the switches and outlets in our home replaced because they were quite old and had seen a lot of wear. They also installed new smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in every room. Additionally, light kits and remotes were added to existing fans, and a new fan installed in one of the rooms. They were very accommodating, and performed their work at the same time as other contractors to meet an agressive move-in date. I would recommend them to anyone.

We received various estimates and all the electricians advised us it was going to be a labor intensive job. With the exception of a small space above the hallway, the rest of our house does not have an attic or crawl space underneath which meant that all the wiring would have to be done by putting holes in the drywall and drilling through the studs. We contacted Anthony for an estimate and he was courteous and on time. After talking with him about what would be the best way to install everything I felt confident in his ability to complete the job correctly. The job took 3.5 days to complete and they were on time every day they were here. The work was done very cleanly considering the amount of holes they had to drill in the walls. We also added in extra work that was not in the original estimate and he did that as well at a good price as well. The final installation was extremely clean with all the lights, dimmer switches, and receptacles lined up and spaced out correctly. Beautiful job! Anthony and his assistant were very professional. It was great to finally have lights in our house and throw out the floor lamps we had! We will definitely use him again for all our electrical needs.

Emailed this company, received the usual automated response within 24 hours but never actually heard back from anyone... it's been two weeks. I guess they didn't need my business.

I had a light fixture blow out in my bathroom during the weekend. Anthony came out on Monday morning to fix it for me. He also took care of an electrical wiring problem I had in the garage that caused my utility area light not to work. He was professional, punctual and courteous. I will use him again in the future.

I called and spoke to Anthony about having an exterior outlet installed on my front porch. He was extremely accomodating and actually came out on a SUNDAY to do the job. He was easy to work with, did exactly what we discussed, and cleaned up all the mess. The outlet works great and is just what we needed. His price was very reasonable and I won't hesitate to call him the next time I need electrical work done.

Their punctuality was better than an A, I would certainly use them again.

We called City Lights Electric for an estimate to restore power to the master bedroom and bath. The owner, Anthony DeLuca, came out the next day to survey the project to prepare a quote. Anthony is a delight. When he found out we could not move in until the electricity was working, he tried to get us power right then and there. It couldn't be done, but, how often do you find a complete stranger willing to take a couple of hours out of their busy schedule to help you out? They were already working on a job but were at the house in two days to start work. We not only had them do the repair work but also had them install three ceiling fans where there were no ceiling fixtures at all. This was no easy feat as there is no real attic, so holes had to be cut in walls and ceilings to run the wiring. This work was done quick and neat, and the rooms look wonderful. Anthony returned our call on the same day we left a voicemail -- so we didn't have to chase him down. We were able to schedule a time quickly. He showed up on time, quoted a very fair price, and did the job very well. He was thorough and neat. We liked his work ethic and will definitely have him back to do more work in our house!

Overall this was a very good experience. Anthony is nice, professional, easy to talk to and did most of what we discussed, barring a strange light switch that turned out to be a rat's nest and will require later attention. One thing to note is that Anthony is an electrician only. If there is drywall patching or finishing to be completed as a result of electrical work, you will have to make separate and additional arrangements to have that completed. Anthony did a little bit of extra work as well, when we discovered some old lighting that needed to be removed from the ceiling. I was impressed that Anthony did not take the opportunity to tack on extra hours or charges for the job as we had not known about the extra work prior to agreeing on the job. I would highly recommend City Lights Electric and plan on using them again.

Even though I gave him the golden opportunity to tell me we needed some work doing, he told me the electricals were sound and didn't need any work doing. Now, that is what I call honest! I offered to pay him for his time but he refused. Coincidentally - we had another contractor working on the house the next day and he broke a fuse in the breaker box. Actually snapped the fuse in two - very old fuse box. We called Anthony and even though it was a Sunday he said he would be over. He didn't charge us any extra for it being a Sunday. The old fuse box posed a problem - no one makes fuses for such an old box anymore, so Anthony drove over to a yard to see if he could find a used fuse. He couldn't but came back via Home Depot with a fuse which could be used (with a bit of work). He fixed us up for $190 instead of just telling us to install a new breaker box ($2,500) - which we will do at some point and will get Anthony to do it.

I was in escrow to purchase a house and needed an electrical system inspection and estimate for recommended repairs. Searching for electricians on Angie's list, I found City LIghts Electric. Anthony was knowledgeabe, professional, on-time and pleasant to deal with. He also did not charge for the estimate, which was nice since so many other contractors were. Now that escrow is closed, I'll be contacting City Lights Electric to help fix up my house.

I called Anthony to come to my home to provide me an estimate for putting in an attic fan. I felt he gave me a great price, did not need to come back and was done in about 1/2 hour. Very nice guy and highly recommended.

I had explained to Mr. De Luca that I was not able to bring the lamps to his shop, and he very kindly picked up and delivered them. I was given a 10% Senior discount.

Anthony helped us add a switch, light fixture, and smoke alarm, as well as a obtaining the appropriate permit. Not only was he professional but he was punctual, courteous and extremely knowledgable, as well as affordable. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any and all electrical work.

We have a house from 1940 and the wirings insulation was coming off. The house needed to be completely rewired. After several estimates, I found that City lights electric gave me a very good price and did not try to "sell me" on extras I did not want. They were very prompt with the estimate, and I was able to book them the next week. They showed up on time and performed very well and neatly. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I was working with the city of Burbank's home rehabilitation loan program and was struggling to find contractors who were willing to cooperate. I emailed Anthony, who first took the initiative to call the city and learn about the program, and then call me to schedule an estimate. I appreciated that so much, knowing I wasn't going to be barking up another wrong tree. Anthony was very nice, prompt, and professional, and his estimate seemed very fair. Ultimately, he was not able to work within the city's insurance requirements (they are quite high), but had I been paying out of pocket I would have been happy to hire him.

I had a very small project and they tried to help by referring me to a place that he does work with. It ended up not being able to fix it, but the effort was great. Thank you for the help and Professionalism.

I've had 2 gaping holes in my bedroom ceilings where fans USED to be for WAY too long to admit. The space in my roof is tiny, and access to the space above the rooms seemed pretty impossible. Anthony was super responsive, and worked with my semi-crazy schedule. He couldn't come do the job himself as he had a conflict the day I needed the work done, but he sent someone who was really great. The fans were installed and working beautifully in just a few short hours, and I swear by the time they were finished the rooms were actually CLEANER than when they started! This was a great "practice" job to try out Anthony as my "go to" electrician, and I'm happy to say that I'll be using him exclusively from now on... in fact, we're starting a much larger job in just a couple of weeks. I highly recommend City Lights Electric for all your electrical needs.

I called Anthony and had a long list of things to have done and got a very detailed and reasonable estimate very quickly. Later I decided to have just a few of the most important issues completed. Anthony and his assistant inspected the wiring in the attic and corrected a number of issues with it by adding 8 or so missing electrical boxes. Now I can sleep at night without worrying about it. I also had a poorly located front door wall sconce removed and moved to the ceiling. Although both projects took up most of the day, I think they were really fast and completed everything much quicker then I thought considering the amount of work. I'll will for sure be calling them again to do future work. City Lights can't be beat. Thank you.

Called Anthony and he responded immediately. He came to my home within a few hours and gave me an estimate. I told him I had to leave for work at 10AM on the day the work was scheduled to be done. He sent one of his electricians who arrived promptly at 9AM and was very nice and very efficient - at just a little before 10AM, Anthony showed up and between the two of them, they finished at exactly 10AM and I was off to work! I have one more ceiling fan that has to be built and installed and I will definitely be calling Anthony!

Anthony is a very nice, very normal guy. He has been to my house twice for different electrical needs. Each time he calls me back promptly to set up an appointment and then.... he shows up at that time with all the parts that he needs and just gets the job done right. He communicates by email and carries his iPad. I highly recommend him.

We had several lighting/electrical issues to be addressed. Either they were able to handle the repair on-the-spot or provide the manufacturer contact information where special parts would be needed. More specifically, Anthony & Viviano together replaced burned out spotlights over the sink incorrectly installed by another journeyman, sealed the hole left around the cuts caused by the prior person, and replaced another overhead lamp. In addition, they checked out a ceiling light/fan & adjusted and/or replaced several outdoor floodlights. They were both very pleasant, professional, friendly, and neat. The $75 was a great value. Additionally, when I called Anthony later that day to advise that the plaster used to seal the light fixture gap did not match once dry, he cheerily agreed to return to re-do it, and also paid for the matching color from his own pocket. When Viviano returned to apply the better-matched color, he also noticed some above-cabinetry florescent bulbs & a starter burned out & took them down so I could take them to a store to purchase new ones. I would not hestitate to hire City Lights again for future electric/lighting needs! They were a real pleasure on all counts.

Anthony supplied a detailed estimate of the work to be done and at the end of the job provided a detailed invoice. Prior to his beginning the job I had some questions which I emailed to him and his response was immediate. He and his assistant, Viviano, were actually early and started promptly. I ended up adding another security light at the end and the additional switch was more complicated than originally thought, but they took care of everything. They were very accommodating and cleaned up after themselves as well as being very nice. I have sung their praises to all of my friends.

I sent an e-mail to their web-site on Mon. 5/09. Anthony called me back the next morning. I explained what needed to be done and he gave me an estimate of $550.00 and he told me he could do the job on Fri. May 13. I told him I had other companies to call and I would let him know. Anthony told me that he would try to match other estimates. I called a few other companies and got estimates as low as $480.00. I liked City Lights reviews, so I decided to give Anthony a call. He told me he couldn't go as low as $480.00 but he would do the job for $500.00. We agreed and we set the appointment for Fri. the 13th @ 9:00am. Anthony and his assistant Viviano were right on time. He went through the job with Viviano and then went to another job he had nearby. He said Viviano would do the job, but if I had any questions to call since he was going to be close by. Viviano did an excellent job - very professional. The fans I had brought were to be run on remote controls. One fan came with the remote control, the other I had to buy. Viviano needed special srews to intalled the holders for the remote controls on the wall. He didn't have them with him, so he said he would be back Monday morning to installed them. That night when my husband turned on the fan in his office we noticed that the fan in the guest room would go on and vice-versa. I called Anthony that night and he called me back and said since the remote controls were the same it was a matter of adjusting the frequency. He said that it was OK and if I could wait till Monday, Viviano would take care of it. Monday morning Viviano was here right on time and took care of the job that needed to be done. From now on City Lights is my electric company of CHOICE!
