City Lights Electric

After installing a flat-screen TV to our bedroom wall, installers were getting sparks when trying to connect the TV to the cable box. City Lights Electric spent several hours trying to trace the source of the problem which they determined was caused by an adjacent wall wiring. Apparently, dry wall installers had put a nail through wiring when repairing that wall. City Lights Electric bypassed the problem wall with new wiring and repaired a switch, all of which eliminated the TV connecting problem. One of the men returned a few days later to correct a very minor issued of an on/off switch that was inverted during the repair. I was very please the overall work done by City Lights Electric. The men were very personable, courteous and professional. To the best of my knowledge, the rates were very much within reason.

Awesome experience. On-time, hardworking, nice, friendly, and always went the extra mile. Will definitely use City Lights Electric again and look forward to recommending them to my friends.

Anthony and Chris worked quickly and efficiently, and we were impressed with the skill they showed in diagnosing problems and doing repairs. Because they did such a fine job, I began a "to-do" list of other electrical repairs. Anthony said he'd call after the holidays to set up another appointment. We are delighted we have found Anthony, and will call him whenever we need an electrician.

Anthony and his father Umberto, were very detailed and thorough in their planning and installation of a new electrical panel on our home. They are very knowledgeable. He contacted the DWP and also took care of permits and inspections needed. All the work was done neatly and he even labeled all of the breakers. He was always on time and even did the job during the weekend as I was unable to take off from work. His price was very fair and he answered any questions I had regarding any other electrical issues I may have . I highly recommend him on any electrical work you may have. I would use his services again if needed in the future!

Anthony is hands-down the best electrician I've ever hired. This is the second time I've used his services, and he was responsive, prompt, and very courteous on each job. He arrived exactly on time. Not only was he great at problem-solving and locating the issue, but he was helpful in explaining why the patio had lost power and how he was going to fix it. Water had seeped into the pipe that carried the wiring for the whole patio, and Anthony and his associate expelled the water, replaced all the wiring, located where the water was getting in and sealed it off. After finishing he and his partner set all the patio furniture exactly as it had been before, and picked up every single snippet of wire from the job. Considering all the work he had done, when I asked him how much I owed him and he told me the price I felt like it was a steal! And how often can you say that? I'm very satisfied with the work he has done. Nothing beats having a service provider you can trust, and City Lights Electric is exactly that.

I called for an estimate to install a dedicated circuit for home office equipment. They responded the same day and made an appointment for two days following. They called to say they would be late for the appointment. After examining the electrical panel and the room layout, the worker said they would be able to do the work and that I would receive an estimate. I never received the estimate. I even called the company two days later and left a voice mail, but never got a call back. Very bad service, if you ask me.

We had never worked with Anthony but saw he was highly rated on Angie's List so we took a chance and called. I got his answering machine, but before I could complete my message, I saw he was already calling me back! He was up front that he was on a big job and could not come for 2 days. We discussed the problem and he ran through a few things we could do ourselves (check the breakers, check the GFIs). We had already ruled those items out, but he was so genuinely helpful, we decided to wait the two days (just manually lighting the stove in the meantime). We made the appointment for 9 am yesterday. I was worried about the cost, and he assured me that most likely, whatever it was would probably only cost a couple hundred bucks at the most. I remember looking at the clock at 8:56 am thinking, well, I wonder if he will be on time. I glanced out the window, and his truck was there already - he was early and waiting for 9. He came in and assessed the situation (including a thorough inspection of my century old breaker box, which he warned me about), figured out the problem and fixed it. He was done with everything in about 30 minutes. He charged me only $100 (not $200). He was very polite, professional, informed and fair. We would definitely use Anthony again.

Despite old wiring and difficulty mounting to the ceiling condition, Anthony came and took care of the problem. He was great about being reached on a weekend, and returned all phone calls promptly. His price was extremely fair. I would call him for any electrical work in my home. This was a small job, but he took it seriously and took care of us in a professional manner.

When I first called Anthony, he made an appointment with me that fit our schedules and showed-up on time. I was presented with the estimates soon after. We made another appointment before the job was to be scheduled to walk thru the work one more time. The actual work appointment was made. We thought that it may be a 2 day job, but they were able to complete in one day. I did scale down a bit from the original work effort. Again, I am so please with the results!

Anthony was very prompt and professional. I left a message that I needed work done and Anthony called me right back. He let me know that he was currently on another job so we scheduled a time for him to come out. On the appointed day he was actually early. He gave me an estimate for all of the work that I needed to have done, and he provided a written estimate by email later that day. Prior to the scheduled appointment to do the work, they reconfirmed by email when they would arrive. They were on time and the work was completed quickly, and completely. This is the best experience I have had with electrical contractors. They were very professional and their prices are very reasonable. When I have used electricians in the past I felt that they were inflating their prices. This is not the case with City Lights. I have complete trust in this company and will definitely call them again for any electrical work. They are the best!!

They showed up when they said they were going to, and did the work they said they would. They took care of the problem. I had talked to several other people, but we felt like he was the one who really knew what he was doing.

The riser pipe coming up from my electrical panel had somehow gotten knocked over and I got a notice from the city that it had to be fixed. Anthony came out, gave me an estimate, and then got the job done professionally and quickly. He replaced the riser pipe with a new one and replaced the wires inside. He even fixed a light switch inside my house for free. Definitely recommend.

He found that it was a model of panel that had a number of complaints. He alerted us to the dangers, and then -- instead of pressuring us then and there to get the job done -- he encouraged us to do our own research. Needless to say he was correct and we had him back to do the job. Again he was on time, on budget, and professional. We are very happy to have found City Lights on Angies's List and will use him for any electrical job we have!They showed up early and began ripping out the old panel. When they were ready to turn off the power they gave us plenty of warning. They never took a break, they worked until the job was finished and cleaned up everything. They then tested each and every switch to make sure everything worked.

Anthony responded to emails quickly and set an appointment within the week. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem as a faulty switch and repaired it quickly. He also noted that the original wring in the house needed to be replaced and provided a quote via email the same day.Anthony was very personable, seemed very competent, and I would not hesitate to have him work on my house again.

Anythony reset my circuit breaker without charge (apparently I didn't push the switch all the way). I appreciate his honesty.

Anthony at City Lights Electric is one of the most professional and experienced electricians I've ever worked with. He came out and assessed the work that need to be done and took photos so he could reference those. He checked out both issues and that same day he emailed me a quote. I told him the home owners association had ok'd the price and that we could start whenever he could schedule it in. He came out and it happend to be quite hot that day but he dug out the old pipe conduit and replace the wiring and conduit and installed a new light fixture and GFI outlet. Inside the foyer he replace the junction box and put in a new GFI outlet there also. Everything is working fine and looking great! I've worked with Anthony several times and he is the absolute total professional. He does things right and you can just tell watching him work, that he knows his stuff. When I am doing remodeling I don't mess with electricity. I call in someone who a pro at that and Anthony at City Lights is the ONLY one I would call. I highly recommend him to anyone!

My home fire detection system began to malfunction. I checked with Angies List and found City Lights. I called, explaind what the problem was and was imediately given several option and cost related to each option. I chose to replace my detection system and was advised that he could be at my residence in 3 hours to complete the job. He arrived on time and finished the entire job in less than an hour. Great service and even better job. I will be using City Lights electric for future electrical projects.

On time, friendly, competent.There was no business card nor invoice, so I was a little taken aback by this.But he appears to have fixed the issue, and if it turns out that the Malibu's are notworking after I get the light bulbs, I'm reasonably sure he'll return to finish the job.

There was some confusion in setting a date for my 'ghost' problem (light & fan on when not expected); however, once a time was set Chris was prompt and very courtiuos. The fan was a little more complicated than some, but it was fixed in good time. I was very grateful to have my relatively minor problem taken care of with as much concern & care as larger jobs.

After being let down by another contractor, I was pleasantly surprised to meet Anthony De Luca. He was punctual (came for the initial inspection and estimate when he said he was going to, unlike the other contractor!) and gave me a fully detailed estimate of the work that was to be done. Then, after the expected deliberation with the City of Santa Clarita, who were keen to get all the inspections and paperwork complete, Anthony arrived to start the work. The City of Santa Clarita came at the same time to begin the series of sign-offs after safely disconnecting the electricity supply from the street. First, he ripped out the old (dangerous) panel that was arcing and causing electrical outages. A few hours later I was looking at a brand new, beautifully-installed electrical panel, gleaming and shining new in the California sun. Almost all the sign-offs had been done by the City. (The only one missing was the one where they sign off any reparations to the surrounding stucco, something that I knew wouldn't be done the same day.) However, he and his crew did not leave until all the breakers had been labeled properly and the circuits tested throughout the house and yard. Nothing was too much trouble for Anthony. He even offered to return if I found anything amiss over the next few days. (I don't reckon I will, but it was nice of him to offer this unconditionally!) One thing that I noticed was that Anthony labeled all the circuit locations throughout the house in neat red Sharpie pen next to each of the breakers. This job he carried out using his left hand crafting tidy capital lettering on the gray metal paneling. Any other contractor might have been content to scribble here, but Anthony took pains to make it neat and clear. I shall recommend Anthony without hesitation to anyone needing electrical work in Santa Clarita. Thanks a million for a job well done! :-)

It went fine, I provided the supplies and most of the work was labor. He also checked other outlets in the laundry room so they would work as they were suppose to ( my original wiring was not right).

Fine, 5 mins in and out. Some people might think that the service fee a bit much but I believe it is reasonable.

They removed the ceiling fixture and the light over the dining table. They installed the recessed lighting and the pendant lights and the dining room table fixture. They put a dimmer switch on the pendant lights over the island which necessitated them adjusting the light switch for the kitchen. The kitchen was spotless when the work was done.
