How did it ago, you ask? It ALWAYS goes well. Oleg arrived on time and changed the filters on the heater/airconditioner and then got to work on the dryer. The dryer vent appeared to be clogged as there was no air blowing through the vent to the outside of the house. Oleg found the problem. The vent was NOT clogged. The air duct under the house had become detached. The air was blowing under the house instead of venting to the outside. He quickly fixed the problem for a mere $55.00. The dryer is now as good as new. I cannot say enough about this company. I would give them an A+++++ if I could. They are so professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend them for any heating, air conditioning or appliance issues.

There technician arrived on time and was extremely knowable of my system and how it worked. He answered all my questions and offered viable solutions. I found this company to have great customer service. They are fair priced and don't overcharge you for things you don't need. This is the company my friends too. I wouldn't think of using anyone else!

They did the replacement of the heating, A/C, and ductwork quickly and efficiently. We have used them for over 10 years now for their twice a year service. The equipment has worked well and we have always been pleased with both the promptness and professionalism of the service technicians.

They were very helpful and provided the service without overcharging me for unnecessary repairs or maintenance.

Found the business on Angie's list advertising a special to diagnose large appliances. I messaged Around the Clock (ATC) to see if they serviced my area. Later that day I received a message stating they did. ATC immediately let me know to call them. My husband made the appointment and a few days later Oleg came out to check out my washing machine. Oleg checked several things before determining the problem. Oleg told my husband that he'd check with the shop & if he had the part it needed he could come back & repair the washer. Oleg was professional, prompt & the quote was very reasonable. I'd definitely use ATC again.

We live in a condo and asked that the repair person call us when he arrived so we could provided access to the building and our unit. He called as soon as he arrived so I appreciated the communication from the office to the repair person! Repair person arrived on time, went up to the roof in our condo to check our unit and sure enough it was low on freon. He checked our unit inside our condo to verify all was well, checked the thermostat and remounted it as it was very loose (it was new and not mounted securely). We were good to go! Unfortunately freon is getting more and more costly to use and our unit is quite old and needs more frequent attention so we'll probably have to purchase a new one in the near future. Until that time, around the clock has helped us keep this old one running! We've used them several times and have been fortunate to have knowledgeable and efficient repairmen each time. On time, competent, easy to schedule, always have needed equipment. Will use again! Not sure about the exact date of service as I'm late entering this review.

They came out really quickly and I was very pleased!

Easy to set appt. Arrived on time. The price was higher than anyone else quoted. Had the work done by a different company for half the cost. Worked with them before and had a better experience.

I was given a widow of 8-10 am. The tech showed up at 9:40 but never entered my unit. He was unable to park directly in front of my unit so he said he could not service my unit and we'd have to reschedule. It is not clear why he is unable to walk and he never set foot in my condo.

Terrible company.?Will not call again for service, install, maintenance, or repairs.

I had no trouble making contact with the company, nor with making an appointment with Denise, who was quite lovely on the phone. The trouble came when the repair person arrived. Eugene was friendly enough, but didn't provide an estimate for services. It took all of 25 minutes from the time he walked through the front door to the time he said, "That will be $389." All our online research told us the very most we should be paying for a replaced capacitor was $200. We were shocked by the repair person's price, especially since the part itself maybe cost $60. He said that if we weren't going to pay the $389, he could remove the new capacitor. We agreed on that course of action. So he took out the new capacitor and left our a/c the way he found it - broken. He then told us we owed $125 for the visit, and that we had been told that by the person who made the appointment (on the phone). Let me be perfectly clear here - no one told me the service call fee, not on the phone and not online. The repair person again said that I had been told on the phone what the service call fee would be, meaning he was basically calling me a liar. I am used to dealing with service personnel and with service providers. I am certainly not accustomed to being taken to the cleaners by companies found on Angie's List. This was a new experience and not a good one. I have no idea how this will turn out. I honestly don't. But I do know I cannot trust or respect this company.

Terrible experience. I set an appointment yesterday. When I called this morning to see where the technician was, they said someone called yesterday and cancelled. I did not do that. They are incompetent or liars. Either way I will never try to use their services again and warn everyone else to stay away as well.

Service is professional and take action when customer complained. Excellent service.

They figured out where the leak was coming from and also saw that the unit was less than a 1 year old and would be covered by our warranty. They recommended we contact the provider that did the work. Since it was under warranty they charge us $0.

Our first contact, Mike Friedman, was very professional in assessing our needs for our two-story home by adding zones so that we're not heating the upstairs when we're downstairs, etc. In addition he indicated that we could save $$ on our electricity bill by upgrading to R8 insulation. The efficient crew, with electrical and ducting specialists, worked well with each other to accomplish first rate results and took pride in doing so. They were also prompt, careful, and cleaned up very well. We never saw any of the workers loitering around with a cell phone. Several of the team have been with the company for about two decades. The owner, Alex Uchitel, inspected the work throughout and provided us personally with instructions about operating the detailed thermostat for all of the systems. He told us to call him with any questions. We also like their semi-annual maintenance plan. Twice a year they call you and remind you that they need to come by and check the unit and filters. Bonus: LADWP rebate forms were completed for us - "just sign and mail".

Without boring you with the details, I'm trying to get a small remodeling project off the ground. I recently had an Energy Evaluation Audit completed on my 5 year old Townhouse which reviled several issues with my HVAC system. (which was NOT part of my remodel budget.) Armed with the details of the audit, I reached out to a top rated HVAC provider in my area for a "ball park" guestimate of what such repairs might cost. I nearly choked when I received the estimate of over $4,000. Obviously, we were not talking about the same ball park. The work still needed to be done, but I couldn't believe that it was going to cost so much. I next reached out to the 2nd highest rated HVAC contractor who services my area, Around The Clock Heating And Air Conditioning, Inc., which also happens to be practically around the corner from my home. Since I was already going to be home last Friday to meet with a fire sprinkler inspector (HOA requirement), I scheduled an appointment with Alex who came out to inspect the job. I told him that the HVAC work was not factored into my renovation project and I wasn't interested in replacing my 5 year old HVAC unit, but merely wanted to resolve the known issues. He didn't try to upsell or guide me in a different direction, but rather listened to the issues, made suggestions on how to resolve those issues and gave me a bid of $695. Alex and I were in the same ball park! I scheduled the work to be done the following Wednesday (or today, depending on when you're reading this review.) This morning, Adam and Edward(?) showed up right on time which, sadly, caught me a little by surprise. I haven't had the best of luck with contractors on this project. They were obviously well informed about my project and were ready to jump in and get it done. Because of the configuration of our building, the easiest roof access is through my neighbor's unit. Adam was very respectful of that fact and did all the roof top work as quickly as possible while Edward (I hope that's his name) went to work in the attic. It seemed like they were done in no time, leaving me to wonder what I'd do with the rest of my day. I'm sure I'll figure out something. Anyway, these guys were very polite and professional and cleaned up what little mess they made. Given that my home is currently a disaster zone, I had to chuckle when I noticed Adam cleaning up the little bit of dust created from installing the ceiling vents in the living room. Given my past experience with flaky contractors, I can't say enough good things about the guys from Around the Clock. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

I did not solicit multiple bids, relying on Angie reviews. I did receive one much lower bid for a Goodman product, but did not trust the quality compared to Lennox. I received a $700.00 rebate from Lennox for this model, and am expecting a rebate from Los Angeles DWP of $480.00 ( pending receipt) . I appreciated the time Mr. Friedman spent in reviewing my options. Energy efficiency was very important to me. I trusted the higher end products to be more reliable -- perhaps a bit disappointed when a 3 1/2 ton size wasn't available in the heater model best suited to go with the air conditioner. Although not a month for ideal comparison, I see a drop in my gas bill. This 2-day installation went smoothly. Cleanup was thorough at the end of each day. The team of 3 worked well together. The circuit breaker box on my home is old, and not well marked. If you have this situation, I recommend on the day a special worker comes to install the electrical switch box that you turn off your PC's < even though surge protected> BEFORE they arrive. There was no problem, but I had asked on the first day that they notify me before touching the circuit breaker box, so I was surprised when the lights went off in the kitchen. : - ) oops. This 'attention to detail' was due to a prior challenge my husband and I faced when we installed a ceiling light in our den. The special worker was extremely apologetic. The old ducting had rested on the framework in the attic, close to the insulation. The new ductwork was raised above the attic floor, with the explanation given .... to allow easier people movement in the attic. The prior OLD ductwork was buried within a LOT of blown in insulation. I would have rather preferred the same placement, but trust the R-8 insulation around the ductwork will suffice. I plan to continue to use Around the Clock to support the new Lennox units. After all, Lennox is their speciality. They were VERY timely with a followup visit. Each person on the team was courteous and helpful.

I called 5 HVAC companies out for a quote to replace my entire system, duct work and all. Each of the five were highly rated (thanks Yelp) so I was expecting good customer service, excellent quality, and responsiveness from all of them. So when I started the due diligence process, I expected that these companies would really be competing mainly on price. What I found was that Around the Clock was about smack-in-the-middle of the quotes that I received - so why did i pick them? The companies that were lower priced gave me the feeling that they would cut corners. "No need to get a permit" or "the current return-air registers are probably good enough." Michael Friedman was my sales consultant and I really did feel like he was trying to tailor his quote to what he felt was the best possible set up for my heating and air conditioning needs. He made some insightful suggestions and was very thorough in his measurements and quote. So, I gave Around the Clock the business and I am glad that I did. Their installation team was punctual, professional, and tidy. They must've swept the floors 4 or 5 times a day. It was a two-day job and they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves on both days. The install work was nicely done. The duct-work was done to perfection. The installer took his time with the final walk-through and explanation of how to operate the system. The bottom line is that I am a very happy customer and feel good about recommending Around the Clock to anyone considering HVAC work.
