[Our tenant met the service person and provided the following appraisal, which she agreed to provide per my request for feedback to be posted on Angie's List.] The guy arrived in the window of time that he said he would, he knew what he was talking about and dealt with the problem very efficiently.

It was a really hot Sunday and the air conditioner wouldn't turn on. We called Around the Clock and they came out that day. He said it was a blown transformer. He had the part and fixed it in about 2 minutes. The total cost was right around $300 which seemed a little high considering he was at our house for 10 minutes. He also didn't itemize the receipt but I think a transformer should be about $50. Anyway, the air conditioner worked and we were grateful for that. For me, this is a lesson - I should have asked him why it was so much...maybe because it was Sunday? Maybe that's what everyone charges. The air conditioner worked all this summer too, so overall I was pleased with the job done.

Our heater was only blowing cold air over the weekend and by Monday morning, 11/22, it was 51 degrees in the house. We called Around the Clock and they were able to send someone the same day. The time period we were given was 2p-5p. Igor came just after 2p. After checking the heater and describing the problem and possible solutions, he replaced the ignition module (it had a fancier name than that). We were extremely happy to be able to warm up!

Eric arrived on-time considering I had only called a couple of hours before. I explained to him that the heater would not kick on this morning to the set temp of 68. It was 61 in the house. He changed the thermostat from 68 to 72 and went outside to raise his ladder to go into the attic when the heater kicked on! It is always set to 68 on auto. He reset it back down to 68 and said it was an intermittent problem and to call if it happens more often. He didn't take any money and I even offered him a tip and he said it wasn't necessary. Guess it was just the cliche scenario that the problem doesn't happen when you take it to the shop! I will call them again if the heater becomes a regular problem to diagnose.

They came on a weds to diagnose the situation. Confirmed the igniter on my 22 year old heater had failed. They scheduled a repair session a day later (the day after Thanksgiving) and did the repair quickly. Unfortunately it failed again that night, but they quickly dispatched a serviceman and they got it up an running again. Now I have heat!

I would use them again for immediate needs. They only charged me the cost of the service call. Very professional and the technician was very knowledgeable.

They are really good. They couldn't make it and they canceled in advance. The person who came was very efficient. We were quite pleased, although the price was a little high. I thought we needed to change the filters and he thought that they would be okay if they were just cleaned which saved me some money.

The installers arrived on time and worked diligently and efficiently to put in the new HVAC system. My wife was home all day and she found them to be quite polite and conscientious about keeping the work space clean. The installers did make one mistake with our system however, a change in wiring caused them to incorrectly install the thermostat. When we notified Around the Clock they sent out technician to solve the problem. They apologized for the error, which I accepted, and quickly resolved the issue. One thing that really impressed me was that they arrived with all of our rebates prepared for us. The fact that they had the paperwork completed for our signature was a big deal. Great customer service all around.

From the first visit to provide a quote, to the on-time, on-schedule installation, to prompt followups for adjustments to air flow to various rooms, Michael, Al and the whole team did a top notch job. They are responsive, professional and a pleasure to work with. The job was done on schedule. There were no surprises. They arrived when they said they would and did what they promised - all very pleasantly and with the kind of focus on customer service that is pretty rare these days. In our experience with contractors, that's worth its weight in gold! They were super clean, even when it came to having to create the holes in our ceilings for the vents - no dust got on anything. And the system works GREAT. We chose a high efficiency system, with U/V air cleaning and filtering to assist with allergies, and even with all of that, they made sure their price was very competitive, more than reasonable, and we never felt pressured to go for an "upsell" (in fact, they advised on a lesser expensive heating option due to the limited use of heat in our area.) Like with any new system, we've needed a few adjustments to increase airflow to one room or decrease it from another, which is all part of the process of perfecting the performance of any new system in any house. Just as they promised at the beginning, they have been super responsive, prompt to come out and do the (free) adjustments, and have been just as great in followup as they were during installation - often going way above and beyond the call of duty. In fact this week, we were having some other work done which involved the attic and required moving one of the big metal air ducts from one place to another in the attic. They came out with one day's notice, took the vent out of the attic, reconfigured it to fit in a different space, reinstalled it, made sure everything was working exactly right again when they were through -- and they wouldn't take a dime for it, even though the reason for needing them to come out and move the duct had nothing to do with the work they did in the first place. They just wanted to make sure it was done right so the system would continue to deliver as promised. Obviously, we've been super happy with Around the Clock. Couldn't ask for more and we highly recommend them. Putting in air conditioning is an investment in your home. Like with most things, you always get what you pay for, and in this case, you get a lot more.

Around the Clock was very price competitive and they were able to get us on the books within 2 days where other companies had a 2 week turnaround (and it was about 100 degrees at the time). The work was fast and they cleaned up nicely. They had to come back 2 times to make changes in order to pass our city inspector and did so immediately. They have been a pleasure to work with!

I went with Angie's List recommendation and I am very pleased. I never had an air-conditioner and they installed it. I had just a floor furnace and they installed a heating element up in the attic. They were very clean every time. I had to call them yesterday about a question I had. They have been very polite and very prompt. They sent somebody out two days later when I had a question. One drawback was when I made a call after hours on the weekend, when this was going on. I think they didn?t have a professional but I think it may have been somebody's wife who was on the line, and I found her a bit off putting. I think this was the only flaw in any of my relations with them. Everything was wonderful about them. I will recommend them to my family and friends. I think I had 3 or 4 other people giving me estimates and these impressed me the most. The cost was very fair compared to what others gave me. I was pleased with their service. Indeed I had an excellent overall experience with them. The price was competitive with others and probably that made me choose them. There wasn't a huge difference, but there were one or two that were $15000 or something. The representative sat at the table with me for an hour, and explained everything about how and what they were going to do. He made me feel confident and their service made it even better. Everything is working fine. They are excellent in responding. I think they were punctual; one or two days they were coming from another job and they were a little late, but it didn't matter. They got here and finished the job. They were completely professional. I will indeed use them again in the future.

They are very good. The follow up was great, but it didn't cost anything. The service and the clean-up were very good. They seemed very professional. We have had dealings with a lot of companies, particularly for air-conditioning, and some of them were good and some were lousy, but these guys are good. The quality of work was good. I would use them again.

Leon came out to take a look at our ducts - he told us that the work would not be a problem and that he will call/email with an estimate. He called over a week later and gave an estimate for $400 and when we asked if it can be done for less promised to call back. We were the ones who called two days later and were told that actually it will cost at least $700??? When we called the office to complain Leon called us back and said that he can get a person there the following Saturday and "he will do right by us." He would not give me a definite quote. We attempted to confirm the appointment with him and the secretary and even though they assured us that the technician is coming on Saturday nobody came. This encounter was unbelievably unprofessional. We would not recommend this company to anyone! It's a waste of time!

Excellent work. Alex came out between the 3 hour window given. Took a 3 minute look at the unit and found the problem. Went to his truck pulled out a new capacity, replaced it, answered all my other questions and was done within one hour.

Very poor customer service From Vernia

Very well; we called them around 4:30 and Oleg arrived about an hour later.

We found out about Around the Clock at a Home Expo. Of course, I looked them up on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. Satisfied that they were a reputable company, I met with Michael Friedman who took his time to explain the different equipment options and find a HVAC combination that fit our budget. Al, the on-site manager, set up the permit and was there the first day with 3 guys. It took 2 days to set it all up, and the inspector came the next day. He took one look at the furnace and ductwork and he immediately said, "They did a good job, but you didn't pass inspection." Apparently the gas gauge was defective. I called Al, and he came out the same day to replace the gauge and set up another inspection. The next day we passed inspection. I appreciate how responsive Michael was to all my questions and working with me on scheduling the work. Also I appreciate how Al moved around his schedule so he could come out the same day to replace the gauge since I couldn't schedule the inspection the following week.

They were very prompt, courteous, and good. Their prices were good. We eventually chose not to go with this company to replace our air conditioning.

The company is throughly professional. They showed up on time, did a very neat and clean job, and left the house in better condition than when they arrived. They deserve the highest recommendation.

Michael, salesman, very accomodating and fully explained all options. Promptly answered all calls before, during, and after installation. Installation crew of four were highly efficient, neat, and finished installation before contract requirement. Per my special request Michael instructed crew to foil cover any exposed fiberglass which gave a very neat appearance because this my work area. Alex and his crew were reliable and efficient throughout the job--always checking with me where air vents would be installed. Michael set up a no-interest loan and paperwork for rebates. The final touch was a tin of delicious cookies!

Called up in the middle of a heatwave and Around The Clock Heating & Air Conditioning, sent someone out within 2 hours after the phone call. Thankfully only a reset for the pressure switch in the A/C compressor had to be done. The service man checked out our compressor outside and the heating system inside. While our system is 23 years old he did not push for me to get a new one or replace any parts. Just charged the initial service fee and was happy to answer any questions I had. A + service.

They were amazing. I never used them before and was not prepared for the high level of responsiveness and professionalism. They came within 2 hours of when I called. It was very hot and I thought no one would come for days. He told me exactly how long it would take to replace the motor.(45 min.) Then he also replaced the A/C filter at no charge, just because it was needed. Thanks, Igor! I'm looking for other things they can repair - would love to work with them again!

went well. they checked out my two A/C systems and did routine maintenance and explained how my systems are aging and how much longer they will probably last. Did some light and easy repairs and re-balancing.

I called Around The Clock around 5pm and talked to Max. He told me he could have Alex (repairman) come to my home before 6:30pm on the same day. Alex arrived promptly before 6:30. I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and honest. He diagnosed the problem. My air conditioner was low on freon. He also showed me how to check for problems related to this issue and he instructed me about my air conditioner how old it was etc... I would not hesitate to use this company again for any repairs related to my air or heating. I would strongly recommend them. Excellent work.
