Around the Clock was great. Michael they sales guy was responsive and helped me design and two-zone system to suit my needs while not taking up too much space in the house for equipment and ducting. There was a little confusion regarding some of the rebates from DWP etc.. but I guess these should always be taken with a grain of salt until you have the rebate check in your hand. Al and Max on the execution side were fantastic as well. They accomplished the entire install including electrical, gas, venting, etc.. all in basically two and a half days. I've never seen ANY contractor that quick and efficient. And the install went flawlessly and was exactly as described. Since the install they have helped me move the a/c unit for other work on the house that was in that area and have done one of their bi-annual system checkups as well. Highly recommend these guys.

Oleg was on time, pleasant, professional. He made estimate and scheduled a return visit to install. After a week, I thought I might be smelling some gas from somewhere. Oleg came out, discovered and fixed the problem. It was a great experience.

Around the Clock was a pleasure! They were responsive to our concerns and advised us to downsize our A/C unit as it would be more appropriate to the size of our condo. Installation was smooth - our maintenance staff was so impressed that they added Around the Clock to the vendor matrix!

Around the clock was fantastic. They showed up at my house on time to provide me with an estimate, which was slightly more expensive then their competitors, but that was offset by more acces to rebates that they were offering. Unlike their competition they did not want to cut holes all over my old house and said that they would use the existing vents. Upon installation they showed up on time and the supervisor took care to heed my concerns regarding the placement of the return duct and the running of the ducting in the basement. They manufactured a special metal duct to save on head room and had it installed the next day without charging more for it though this was done per my request and was not truly necessary. As the hose is old and the installation was more difficult then expected it took them a day longer. The moment they new that this was going to happen they informed me about the delay and scheduled for it accordingly. Since, I wanted a set of Leaf thermostats installed they researched the necessary installation requirements and made sure to make them compatible with the system. As I was concerned about this working and emailed a bunch of times to confirm they always promptly responded to my emails. Upon completion of the job they walked me through the entire functioning of the system and answered all my questions in regards to its functioning. Then they helped with all the rebate paperwork and made sure I understood where it should be sent and what should be included. Two weeks later they set up a city inspection appointment sent me all the necessary forms to give to the inspector and verified numerous times the date and time of his arrival. All I can say is that their service was exemplary. Also they sent me cookies, singed me up for their free maintenance program for two years and gave me a discount card for future services that they might perform. I am very happy with Around the Clock.

The guy came out, he told me what the problem was, he fixed it and it has been good. He was very professional, a very nice gentleman. He did work and didn't try to pull one over on me. Their price was very reasonable, their quality was excellent. I was really delighted with them, I even called to let them know how great their service was and how much I appreciated it. Just nice people. I will call them again.

We had a service man out to our place a total of four times. When our a/c stopped working a third time this summer, they sent a different man from the previous three times. When he arrived, he refused to even look at the unit because he was not the one who started the work. Our usual guy was on vacation so we had to wait for him to come back. They scheduled another appointment, but when he came he did not have time to actually do any work. We had to reschedule again. They were difficult and rude on the phone when I tried to explain our issue, and ultimately didn't care whether we used them or not. I recommend trying a different company on Angie's List. I don't need a company who is emotionally invested in helping people out, just one that has some incentive to work and maintain customer satisfaction. UPDATE: ON 10/18 THEY REFUNDED THE FULL $295.00

I was in a panic because my air conditioning went out on a Friday in the late afternoon, during our recent hot spell in September. When I searched Angie's List I saw that Around The Clock Service Company worked on Saturdays and Sundays. I called and got an immediate, live response to my call. This was at 8:45 am on Saturday. She told me the price for the service call ($65) and said that a technician would be out by 11:30 am. I went out to do an errand, and was shocked to get a call at 10:15 from Leon, the technician, who was at my home! Fortunately I was 2 minutes away. Leon diagnosed the problem quickly and told me the part that needed replacing, which he thankfully had in his truck. I went up on the roof and he showed me the burned out capacitor which he was removing and replacing. He finished his work and my unit was repaired in half an hour. The cost of the repair was $275, but Around the Clock offers a $20 discount to Angie's List members, so I ended up paying $255. I was thrilled with everything about this company and highly recommend them.

The serviceman arrived on time, confirmed my suspicions regarding the icemaker problem, and was able to efficiently install new tubing. He also replaced the filter on the water line.

Around the Clock Heating and Air are excellent. I called 15 other companies and none of them were available. Around the Clock came out that day. I am very happy with them. Price-wise they were very reasonable. Everything was great. My in-laws had some other issues which were nothing to do with the installation and the company came back and fixed those in another visit. They are very happy with the work and the service.

During our extreme heat our not so old air condtioner died. Kaput. I called the people I have used before and they never even called me back! Found Round the Clock through Angie's list and they were here within two hours. Brilliant. Cost a fortune for a new motor, but it is using a lot less energy. Really happy with Round the Clock!

I can't say enough good things about this company, and Igor in particular. When they fixed my heater last winter I made a mental note of the fact that Igor gave me excellent information as well as excellent service for a decent price (while another company had tried to take advantage of my old equipment to overcharge me). So, when my air conditioner finally gave out in the middle of the August heat wave I didn't have to shop around to find a company I trusted. I called Around The Clock as soon as I realized my A/C had died. Igor was at my house that same morning and helped me decide on a new system by giving me detailed answers to all my questions and helping me weigh the pros and cons of each option. It could have been a daunting decision but he made it easy to come to a conclusion and order a new unit. Unfortunately this was the middle of a heat wave so getting an installation appointment was a little tricky. Somehow Around The Clock was able to arrange for it to be installed on Labor Day, for which I am still eternally grateful. Igor was on site in the morning and came back to check everything out at the end of the day. He again answered my questions and stayed to make sure I understood the ins and outs of its operation. If there was a way to give them a rating higher than an A, I would give it. Post Script: The system had been working flawlessly for two weeks but then the fan wouldn't turn off. I called Around The Clock and Igor had it fixed within 2 hours of my call (it was a couple of crossed wires). This is a great company!

It went terribly. Felt ripped off, and the job was clearly not even done well. It is broken again, and they are being rude about coming back out to fix it.

Their service was excellent. Installed and Cleaned up so quickly we were amazed. Very polite. we got 3 bids. They were not the lowest bid, Our decision to use a better company was because the unit they removed was suggested by the low bidder as adequate, and we roasted through 4 summers before we decided to remove it. Three things we wished we had done differently: 1. Place the return unit further away from the bedroom, because it is quite noisy. 2. They did not suggest and we did not ask for a higher quality thermostat, and a better location. This unit must be manually changed from heat to AC. That poses a problem whe your days are hot, and the nights are cool. We have a long thermometer where we live, and this unit does not automatically change from heat to AC. 3. Allowed them to change the ductwork to create a more even temp in all rooms. They bid on this, but we thought with the larger AC unit the ducts would be adequate. However we are delighted that even through 104 degree heat and 35 degree cold we are very comfortable with the quality and size of the unit installed!

Our air conditioning stopped working on a Monday night. Called "Around the Clock at 8:30 AM on Tuesday and they had a technician at our house by 9:15 AM. He looked at our equipment, loaded some more freon, cleaned the AC unit and explained it could be a leak, but it should work for now and to call if it stops working again. He offered some advice on when the unit may die again, and gave an estimate on replacing it with a new model, but with no pressure to upgrade or push the sale. I was happily impressed.

The entire experience went better than I had ever hoped for. Seriously. Because the work I needed was a bit complicated and extensive I contacted a total of four service companies recommended by Angie's list. Around the Clock was the fourth. While the first three were very professional and experienced, the level of information, time, and advice provided by Mike, the estimator/advisor/salesman/rep was super. Mike was incredibly knowledgable and thorough - and his advice was spot on. Once we settled on what equipment I needed, we moved on to the price. It turned out to be better equipment than some of the others had recommended (all Lennox) or Lennox upgrades from the other estimates, but at a lower price. Additionally, Mike and his company knew about some Flex Path rebates that the others didn't. The rebates amounted to over $7000. And Around the Clock would do all the paperwork and submissions. (And they did.) But a good deal is only a good deal if the job is done right. I read through their super reviews on Angie's list, but I was concerned since my situation seemed more difficult (2 systems, hard to reach ducts and access to the house) and again, they were right on the case. Without my asking, MIke arranged for their lead installer, Carlos, to survey the situation to make sure that there wouldn't be any hitches; locations were tight, and the equipment had to be hoisted onto the roof, and the crawl spaces for the ductwork were tight. Not remotely a problem. I was guaranteed things would go off without a hitch. And I swear they did. They began work in less than a week, and two and a half days later, I had two entirely new heating/air conditioning systems, ducts, registers and thermostats. No mess, no fuss, on time, and a full crew of at least 7 people each day. Michael showed up every day to check up on the work to make sure I was happy. And I was. Totally. A few days after the work was completed, an inspector from FLEX PATH tested both systems, everything passed, and I'm set for my rebates. I realize that my review sounds too good to be true; but that's because my experience with Around the Clock was spectacular.

My air conditioning unit broke and I called Around the Clock after 6pm. They were able to send someone the very next morning. The technician arrived on time, was pleasant and professional. He had parts on his truck and was able to fix my air conditioner right then. This was wonderful since we were experiencing temperatures that were close to 110 degrees.

I was able to schedule the tech next day during a week of extreme heat in LA. The person that scheduled was pleasant to deal with. The tech showed up during the promised window of time and quickly determined the issue with the drain line. He cut it, flushed it and put it back together within 15 minutes. He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I will definetely use Around the Clock in the future.

The woman who I spoke with on the phone was quite willing to send a service technician over to the property within a few hours which would have been very helpful. When i explained that I am the owner of the property but unavailable to be present at the house for the service she began to speak disparagingly of "Landlords" in general. This is the first encounter I have had with this company. She knows nothing of me personally and told me if I had fist mentioned I was a "Landlord" she "wouldn't even have taken the call!"I am doing the best i can to provide a comfortable and safe environment for my tenants. I have impeccable credentials and credit rating. I have long histories with and loyalty to all service providers who are professional and trust worthy that I work with. This is not one of those companies. Funny, but this is clearly a twisted form of discrimination. When do we allow all people to stand on their own as individuals?

I interviewed several companies as I was getting 2 higher end (Lennox) COMPLETE AC, heating, and duct systems installed so I was very carefully about who I chose. Around the Clock was incredible. Pricewise they were competitive but since they were participants in the LA County "Flexpath" program the net price after rebates was MUCH lower then the others. Their guys showed up right on time the first day, they sent 6 men out as it was a decent sized job. Even the owner Al (who is a great guy) showed up to get his hands dirty. These guys know what they are doing! Their ductwork was amazing and I had A LOT of duct. They replaced long runs of duct and I have no idea how they were able to get in to the spots that they did! Their installation of the AC and heating units was top notch, beautiful, clean, and impeccably neat! They finsihed the job when they said they would and did not leave ANY mess behind, just beautiful work. When the city inspector came out to check the permits and the work he even commented how great the job was and that they went above and beyond what was required! They cared very much that I was happy, Al made sure of that. I HIGHLY recommend you use them, even their salesman Mike who came out for the estimates was a real professional and nice guy, they were just great!

Felt ripped off. I've heard this is not unusual, esp during time of extreme heat and air conditioning problems. I'd look further than Around The Clock though, for a fair and affordable repair ...

In July 2012 we called "Around the Clock" Heating and AC service and had a very good experience. Of the several Angie's List contacts we called, they answered immediately with a helpful dispatcher who gave us a prompt appointment with technician "Alex" He arrived on time, gave us an accurate explanation of the problem and had all the parts necessary to complete the repairs in one trip. Alex was very professional, did not try to sell us a new system (although ours is over 20 years old) and thoughtfully explained the pros and cons of a future AC upgrade (rebates, energy savings etc.) I have already recommended "Around the Clock" to other residents in our community and would call them again for ourselves.

Although I was feeling confident about this company per the good reports on Angie's list, unfortunately this companyturned out to be very unprofessional.. I am a landlord property owner and my tenants needed the HVAC unit repaired. Since I don't reside at the property, I asked Around the Clock to call the tenant or myself, 20 mins before arrival, since they could only give me a time estimate of between 9 am - 11 am for arrival. Around the Clock could not follow this simple request. When I called to check the technician's ETA they were confused, the woman who answered the phone said, "How am I supposed to know if he has a blow up on the freeway" and started screaming at me when I asked why neither myself or the tenant received a call to let us know 20 minutes ahead to let us know as requested, so we could drive to the property. She then said hold on, and said, "he's at the property". I asked, is he inside the property with the tenants, or do I need to go meet him? The woman then screamed ... "I don't know!!" If they can't handle a simple thing as handle a customer's telephone call appropriately, there's no way I would let them repair or replace an airconditioning unit which costs $6,000.00 or more.

They came to the house on the same day I called, which made me very happy. Other places I called couldn't come out the same day. Eric from Around The Clock checked the air conditioner, told me exactly what was wrong (broken motor) and how much it would cost to fix. I told him to go ahead, and he replaced the motor and had it working in less than an hour. I will definitely call them again.

Punctual, knowledgable, friendly. worked in a timely maner. very happy with results
