They were responsive. They immediately told me that they didn't service my area. They gave me helpful information about how to get the refund. They were helpful.

It was great. Alex explained very well the problems with the washer. He was also able to give me some advice on the conditioner. Answered all the questions I asked. I only paid for the diagnostics visit.

After going through my insurance company and the claim being denied for "maintenance", and getting an incorrect diagnosis of the problem, I came to Angie"s List. I had already waited more than two weeks and was told that if I did not correct the problem immediately, other parts of the refrigerator would need very expensive repair work done. I found a special going on with Around The Clock and they were able to schedule a repairman almost immediately. The repairman sent was Alex... He diagnosed the problem correctly, ordered the parts and even cleaned off the front of my stainless steel prior to leaving. Although this was an expensive repair, I am confident that he knew what he was doing and I will not encounter this problem again in the near future.

Though my dryer was drying my clothes just fine, it sounded like a plane was coming in to land every time I turned it on. I found Around the Clock through Angie's List, contacted them, and they immediately scheduled a service call for the same week. Alex was my repairman and he was awesome! He explained the problem and then showed me where there was lint behind the front panel of the dryer, some of which was burned which scared the heck out of me. Alex was honest enough to tell me that the panel only need be removed once every 5 to 6 years for the lint removal (only to be done by a professional) as long as my husband continues to clean the dryer vents and hoses twice a year as he's always done. In addition, they warranty parts AND labor for one entire year unlike the previous company I used to use which warrantied parts and labor for only 30 days. If you can't stand behind your parts and your workpeople, you won't get my business. I'm a lifer with Around the Clock! Thank you for a wonderful experience and my dryer is so quiet again I can hardly hear it running!

Bait and switch? Provider lists deal on Angie's list for refrigerator compressor repair -- prepaid through Angie's list for $550. I purchased the service deal this morning and spoke with the providers' office this afternoon. They stated that they didn't know anything about a deal on Angie's--which is still listed as active on the Angie's list site as I write this. The provider refused to honor the deal I paid for, but they are happy to send a technician to my place for an "assessment."

I chose this company because of the glowing reviews here, as well as the great service awards they got. I've never been steered wrong by Angie's List before ... but this was a terrible, terrible experience for me. Has the company changed owners since the last reviews were written? Is there new management or something? Because my experience went from frustrating to infuriating over the two months I waited for a simple repair to happen. My ice maker has two parts: the part that makes the ice, in the freezer, and the part that dispenses and crushes the ice, in the door. The freezer door had not closed all the way one night, the ice melted, and the wiring on the motor in the door corroded and burned out. The technician, who was very friendly and pleasant to talk with, told me that he'd have to get a replacement motor, and would call me back the next day to schedule an appointment for repair. Then the holidays happened, and my family and I got busy. It wasn't a critical part of the freezer, so I didn't think about it until my wife asked me why it still didn't work. I realized that the technician never called me back, so I made the call myself. I sat on hold for 25 minutes while I waited to talk to a person, but when I finally did, I she told me she'd have to call the technician, and call me back. Oh. Good. Because I haven't spent enough time waiting for this company to do the thing I am trying to hire them to do. So she calls back a few hours later, and tells me the technician can come out to repair my ice maker in a few days. I make it *explicitly clear* that it's not the ice maker, but it's the motor in the door. I repeat this a couple of times, because it's an important distinction. So, of course, the technician shows up with the wrong part, and blames the dispatcher. He tells me he will call me back in an hour, because he should have the correct part by then. Two hours later, I still haven't heard anything, so I call the company. It rings and rings and nobody picks up. I hang up, and get ready to tell anyone who cares to listen that this place is not as good as Angie's List thinks it is. The phone rings, and it's the dispatcher! Oh, great! It's finally going to be fixed! Except it isn't. The technician can't come back until tomorrow. So this is the part where I rage quit the whole experience, eat the $45 I had to spend on the initial call, and go find someone else to do the job. I'm presuming that my experience is an outlier, because there is just no plausible way that this company can get the glowing reviews it gets here, if this sort of terrible communication and lack of urgency to get the job done is the norm. So, just beware. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, and I hope that my experience was just uniquely bad. Please note that I am not sharing my address because W** Angie's List that's not the sort of thing that needs to be public for a review.

LOVED them!!! The first company suggested a full replacement for $8,000, the 2nd place's diagnosis was far-fetched and made no sense (albeit much cheaper), the third estimate came from Igor and Around The Clock! He was awesome. Friendly, professional and thorough. He went up on the roof twice after I told him how the other two diagnosed, but stuck to his diagnosis - which cost only $300! Our HVAC may only have a couple of years left, but when it does go Around The Clock will be the ones replacing it! Thanks!

They were quick and friendly but I thought they were patronizing. They used verbal finger language.

Our 10 year old washing machine was constantly beeping. The cost to fix the machine was not worth it. But they were responsive, on time and honest.

Oleg arrived on time, knew what to do, was well-equipped, and fixed the problem quickly.

We have been using this company for every appliance repair we have needed for over 10 years. They have repaired our washer, dryer, refrigerator and air conditioning. The air conditioner is around 30 years old and has been repaired three times in the last 5 years. The issue is not faulty repairs; it's simply old, and while Around the Clock has warned us that it would need replacing, they have managed to keep it running and for a lot less than it would cost to replace the unit (which would cost around $5000 or so. Over the years we have had 3 or 4 main repair guys and each of them has expertise in multiple areas. They always have been on time, usually around the early or middle of the three-hour time window they generally provide. They are always courteous and professional, and have gotten the repairs right the first time, every time. They never try to up-sell and their prices are reasonable. We are delighted with them and would never consider going to another company unless we were forced to. In fact, we needed an electrical repair done, and they had recommended an electrician who worked for another company they sometimes subcontract with. He was great too.

Arrived as promised within just a few hours as a last-minute add-on (I called in the early afternoon) to diagnose and fix broken air conditioner. Leon was polite, professional, explained everything, even demonstrated how he diagnosed the problem so I could be sure he was telling the truth (I have been burned many times, which is why I joined Angie's List). He had the part in his truck and fixed it on the spot. Was patient when I asked him to explain something more than once. Pointed out that I needed a new air filter -- though that was not the cause of the problem of it breaking -- and took the time to write out on the bill the details of what to ask for at the hardware store. He also removed the old filter and told me how and how not to dispose of it. I have no idea whether the price was fair -- he replaced something called the "conductor," which conducts the electricity from the house to the a/c unit -- but I didn't care because the service was so excellent and on such short notice. I could not be happier with this experience and would call them again for sure.

He figured out what was wrong and let me know how much it would cost for the new part and installation. He got the part a day or so earlier than expected and did the install very quickly.

Alex was on time and extremely professional. Appliances were repaired in a timely manner and Alex provided advice as well in order to maintain longevity of the appliances.

As we all know having a failed system in your house is never a fun task but it needs to get done. I contacted Around the Clock because of the wonderful reviews and high ratings. So I want to be fair with my assessment of this service. The technician arrived about 20-30 after the 3 hour window I was given and I needed to give them a call just to check to see if they will be coming. No biggie. He was professional and looked at my old system and determined that all the pressure was lost in the refrigerant and he could not recharge the system because of possible contamination to the condenser. I suspected that this would require a complete replacement. After a good discussion he indicated that I probably needed to speak with a person with more specifics on what are all the options that I have in replacing my system. He left and within 5 min I had an appointment with a more knowledgeable person who would inspect my house and let me know what options there are. So thank you Icor for this service even though it was not great news. So a few days later the other individual Michael arrived about 20 min late but he was kind enough to give me a call ahead of time to let me know he would be running a bit late. After looking at the old air handler and condenser he went to work on his sales pitch for a 3 ton AC system. From all that I have read, you should size your AC system appropriately to the space being cooled taking into account windows and insulation and the environment where the system will be installed. Michael did not inspect my house in any way he only looked at the old air handler size which was 25-30 years old. He did not look in each room or ask me about insulation or do any sort of inspection. He did not do any calculations related to the needs of the house. Then he started hitting me with round numbers about costs. Sad to say It was all sales and no consultation. After a bit I asked him for two quotes without ducting.

I was very happy and impressed that the technician came within an hour of my call, and he did a fine job. Still, the cost of the service was vastly overpriced ($260 for the easy replacement of a part which can be purchased for between $20 and $30). This is the second time I have called Around The Clock with a non-scheduled service request and was given no consideration for the amount of money I have paid this company over the past six years.. The work was done by a technician who was professional and very competent, but the cost made me decide to find another company to service my equipment after my current contract expires next year.

Technician sent out was unprofessional and had a hard time communicating. I knew exactly what the issue was and expected a 15-20 minute job but it took over 2 hours to get the issue fixed. Technician seemed to be wasting time talking about worst case scenarios where he would have to replace the entire panel and possible stove. Only reason I used services was because I was on a very tight deadline to fix stove.

The repairman they sent us was so helpful very polite. He found what the problem was quickly and knew what to do to fix it. We paid a good price for them to repair our washing machine very happy with the service.

Repair Tech named OLEG responded to my house. He quickly analyzed the problem & fixed it in a highly skilled, professional manner. I highly recommend this company.

Our freezer was not functioning properly found these guys to do the job. The price was not what I was hoping for, pretty high but they got our freezer working and the guys was a real professional. It all was great but the price but they're good though.

they replaced a part which required defrosting my unit. He was careful to lay down towels so my floor wouldn't get wet. He was quick and showed me the areas of concern. He arrived promptly and repaired the parts at a fair price.

I bought the big deal and called the company up. They scheduled me right away. The repair man came out and was very nice, I watched him troubleshoot the washer. He took the washer completely apart and diagnosed it. It was not worth it to fix because the part was expensive, so I opted to buy a new washer instead. He was very thorough.
