We service and repair refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves & ovens, dishwashers, microwaves. We don't repair small appliances like toasters, watches, blenders, etc.
Let's see...renewed my Angie's membership at 8am. Researched refrigerator repair companies and chose Around The Clock based on unanimously great reviews. Called them at 8:15am. Repairman arrived before 10am. Diagnosed the problem within an hour (fridge's computer died), ordered the part, returned the next day and fixed the fridge. I am not used to service this good. Thank you Angie's, thank you Around The Clock.
Description of Work: My refrigerator wasn't cooling. Repairman ran a few tests, identified problem, ordered part and returned following morning to install it.

Very good. Showed up on time. Came in considerable short time. I called late on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to come on Monday afternoon. I thought that was pretty good for over a weekend. They also called me before they arrived so that I could meet them at home and not miss a whole day of work waiting for their arrival. Washing machine is working perfectly. I am considering taking out a service contract with them for my heating/air.

Oleg, from Around the Clock Service, arrived on time and was very nice. He checked out both my Bosch dishwasher and my Maytag washing machine. He quickly determined the problem with the washer and left for a few hours to obtain the necessary part. He also checked on the cost of a new control board for the dishwasher. Once the new safety lead switch was replaced, the washing machine worked perfectly. However, the cost of the control board for the dishwasher was very high and he advised me to hold off on replacing it to see if the problem I had been having reoccurred. It has not, so following his advice saved me about $380. I was very pleased with this company's service and I will call them without hesitation in the future.

My scheduled appointment time was from 11a-1p. Maya called to say that the repairman was running late and would 1p-3p be okay. In my situation, that was okay - and I appreciated the phone call letting me know (rather than just not showing up.) So I docked a bit for punctuality, but gave credit for letting me know. Once the repairman arrived, he replaced the starter in my oven quickly and efficiently. In and out in about an hour. He quoted me an estimate of $220... $200 with Angie's List coupon. Cheaper than a new oven.
Description of Work: The starter in my wall oven was broken and Around the Clock (Sasha) fixed it.

I've used Around The Clock for years for my heating and air conditioning units and have always been pleased with their prompt, courteous service. I did not know they repaired large appliances until I checked on Angie's List. They were responsive to my call and promptly came out that day and took care of my problem. They presented me with two options for repairing the problem which I appreciated. The repairman also included a brief tutorial in case this happened again.

Very impressed with this company. They are punctual, professional, clean, and courteous. The repair people actually have parts with them rather than having to return another day after ordering a part. I used them previously for a repair on the refrigerator freezer and will continue to call them in the future.
Description of Work: While cooking on one burner, the ignitor on a different burner kept sparking. Turns out the first burner needed a new sensor electrode. The repair price seemed reasonable and was done quickly.

I called and got a friendly, cheerful woman who scheduled a service call to diagnose my drier's problem. Leon, the service person, appeared timely on the appointed date and quickly diagnosed a burned out heating element in the drier. He said he'd look for the part needed and call to reschedule the repair. He forgot to call me back, so after 4 days I called again and spoke with the friendly, cheerful woman on the phone. She confirmed that the part needed had been found and apologized for the failure to call me back. She booked a prompt appointment and again Leon showed up on time. Within 30 minutes he had completed the repair and left. He accepted my Angie's List coupon for $20 and gave me the discount. Leon was efficient, knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself. They will give you a Saturday appointment if necessary and ask only for a 2 hour window in which to show up. All-in-all this was a painless experience, with nice people and very fair prices. I would use them again despite the small glitch -- failure to call me back when the part was obtained. This was a small failure and was corrected immediately -- it could happen with anyone.

Our oven was taking too long to preheat and the broiler recently stopped working. Maybe it was the end of a long day, but the repair guy didn't have a clue how to fix the oven. Plus, he was pretty creapy and there was no way my wife was about to let him back into the house. I fixed it myself after he left.
Description of Work: Our oven had a history of long preheat times (30 min to 350) and recently the broiler stopped working. Called around noon and the guy was slotted to come out that same day between 5 and 7. He showed up at 5:30 to troubleshoot our oven. He spent about 45 minutes with one panel removed from the oven (the wrong panel) looking, thinking, noodling. He didn't have any idea what could be wrong that fit our problem description (above) and he said he needed to think about it. So he left. After he left, I took another two panels off, found the electrical schematic tucked inside the oven, found the main circuit board, and troubleshot the unit myself. It had two problems: 1. the broiler element was burned out, and 2. the temperature sensor was in physical contact with the broiler element. $40 + $25 expedited shipping got me a new broiler element. All problems were fixed two days later when I installed the broiler element. The broiler element glows red and now the oven preheats in 15min. I've used Around the Clock for AC repair, and those guys were pretty good.

They sent out one guy for the heat pump. He was on time and very polite. It took him about 10 minutes to diagnose the issue, he had a spare part in the truck and it took him another 20 minutes to fix it. The price was about $225. The oven guy came a day later, also on time and very clean and polite. It took him about 25 minutes to diagnose the issue. He told me it may take up to 4-5 days to get the part. He called back 2 days later and said he had received it. The cost for this repair was around $500. In summary, both repair guys were professional and seemed quite competent. The repairs seemed quite expensive but I have no basis for comparison, so I really don't know. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I had two separate issues. My heat was not working & my oven didn't work. This company does appliance repair as well as HVAC. The heat pump needed a new relay and the oven needed a new main circuit board. I'm not familiar with this stuff so I may have my terminology wrong.

Called at 9 am - Was told serviceman would be here by 11 am. Alex arrived at 10:45 and found a freon leak in the unit. Cost of repair could run from $250 to $600 depending on part(s) needed so since frige is 15+ years old decided I am going to just replace. Will use again if necessary and highly recommend.

I got the number from Angies list, called the company most likely to solve my refrigeration problem and call them at 11:30. The service man arrived about 1:45 helped me empty the frig. and checked the componets, found the defect. He had the part in his truck and installed it, tested it and made out the bill. I paid, he left and all is well.

The service guy was soo EXCELLENT - had Orginaly said it would be $35.00 for the service call which would be applied to any additional service if I chose to use them to go on - well - the technician - told me after some time and a few phone calls that the pump was no longer made and I had to get a new dishwasher - he did not try to sell me anything - just charged me the service call and recommended a place that they used for new dishwashers.....I would DEFINITELY use them again - and makes me wonder about the technician that my Home Warranty uses - who was going to obviously come back and put in a Mickey Mouse pump as that dishwasher (Magic Chef) does not make that pump anymore.
Description of Work: I had problems with a dishwasher - had been told by a guy that serviced my home warranty - that the fault was mine - broken wine glass - that the warranty did not cover it - well after waiting a month for him to come back which he did once in that period but with a "defaulty" pump - gave up and called "Around The Clock" - as Angie had recommended them.

While I was paying for the job, the repairman announced that the grill would break again unless we stopped using it. He told me it would be better if we used it to keep food warm It is not as if he didn't do his job. It's just if I had known that it was no good, I wouldn't have spent the money to have it fixed.
Description of Work: I called about the grill on the stove. After looking at it, the repairman said he could fix it, but would need parts. We agreed that he would come back another day. He came back, quickly fixed the problem. Well done.

The Around the Clock guy came out on time to fix my fridge, and was nice. He told me he needed to replace a couple of pricey parts, and I decided to go ahead with the repairs instead of buying a new fridge. When he left, the fridge worked. Fast forward three months -- fridge died...again, on a holiday weekend. Finally found someone else to come out after the weekend -- from another service. Turns out the compressor had died -- three months earlier. The Around the Clock repairman had "fixed" that part -- rather than replacing it -- and according to to new repairman, it was clear the 'fix' would never last (he showed me where the first guy had worked on it and why it should have been replaced in the first place). He ordered a new compressor, came back two days later to install it....and the fridge has worked fine ever since. So, basically it appears I originally paid for parts I didn't need, and the first repairman "jerry-rigged" the one part that did need to be replaced.

They did a good job. The first time they worked on the washer dryer. The second time the representative installed the heating elements in the oven. It only took few minutes to complete the job. There was nothing wrong with the first job that he did but he had to get another representative with him whose specialty was ovens. They charge you for the services. Sometimes it?s hard to say if you are getting a good deal or not.

I called Around the Clock appliance service on 6-17-09 at 9:00AM. Spoke with a receptionist who scheduled an appointment for 6-18-09 between 9:00- 11:00AM. She took all the pertinent information. She was friendly and pleasant. She also gave me a choice of morning or evening appointments. Technician named Oleg arrived at 9:10 .He diagnosed the washer problem as a worn seal and bearings. The dryer needed a new drive belt and glass light protector. He stated that the washer would cost 280.00 to repair and the dryer 90.00. He then stated that parts needed to be ordered and he would contact me when they arrived. The work order was signed and credit card number given. He stated that the card would not be charged until I was satisfied with the work.Next appointment was set for 6-22-09 between 8:30 and 9:00 he arrived at 9:00. The work on both the washer and dryer completed around 12:00 noon. He explained the work that was done and the warranty. He also stated that he had some difficulty with the washer when removing the old parts. He stated that with the new parts the washer could last another 10 years
Description of Work: 1) Maytag washer was fitted with new central seal and bearings. 2)Maytag dryer was fitted with new drum belt and light glass protector .T

The company came to the house right on time and did an expert review of the mechanical condition of the dryer. This involved completely disassembling the machine and putting it back together. We ultimately decided to buy a new machine. However, for the price of $20 (which was after using their coupon) we knew exactly what we were dealing with.

The person from their company that knows about GE washers and refrigerators, will advise you about the $35 dollar service charge but then will also charge you an outrageous fee for something small and perhaps that he may have caused to be worse. They are ripping people off. I have called their owner several times and he will not return my calls. They also claim that their discount coupons are good. For example $100 off or $25 off. They are actually no good. I would try to utilize them when I call for service but the repair guy claims that the ''outrageous price'' he already quoted reflects the discount. The last time the repair person came, I asked him to look at my washer and my refrig. For $35 I had hoped he would acknowledge that there was a paperclip being used to work my machine and that he would replace the washer knob on top of the machine. He claimed he would have to come back and that would be another $35 service call, not including the parts and labor? same on the refr.
Description of Work: I have called on this company for about the past 6 years. In the beginning, they were pretty good. However, the last 2 years I found a few problems. They claimed to fix something and advise me that there is a warranty for parts and labor but when you dispute with them about the warranty and raise questions or concerns, they do nothing to help you. I had to purchase a brand new washing machine because of them. They also charge a $35 dollar service call. This is really a rip off, because when the repair person comes, he is not all that interested in fixing the machine. In my situation, there was a little knob inside the machine which had to be replaced in order for the washer to spin. The repair person claimed he replaced it with a brand new part. However, as soon as he left and I began washing, this knob just broke apart. I called another repair company who verify and showed me proof that the part they put in was fake. The repair person charged me $35 for that fake part.
