Asbestos & lead removal, mold remediation, residential & commercial.
Abatement and Remediation are not for the weak or weary - whether managing a personal or professional project, proper containment practices and efforts are essential. I will forever recommend and promote All Clear Environmental - a family-run business with hands-on customer relations. Larry Enos and his son, Beckett, put forth great effort to communicate, assess, and manage the process in good faith. All Clear's team of Rigo et al, handled the physical abatement and remediation, in our home. Rigo and his team made us feel 100% safe, confident, and secure throughout each stage - which was no easy feat with children and pets, in a home. And while there are no accolades for being second-round mold recipients, we hit the jackpot in working with All Clear. We have worked with other companies only to be left with poor communication, a tendency to be overcharged, and dishonesty. Beckett was available almost 24/7 to answer questions via text and live calls. When I felt doubt, Beckett made time to discuss alternative avenues and ensure our best interests were at the forefront of every decision. I recommend All Clear Environmental to friends, neighbors, and strangers with 6/5 stars. Your house is your home - and mold is personal. A company that recognizes the need to love your home well, is a gem beyond measure. Thank you, All Clear Environmental - good people attract good people! Gratefully, Jackie

Larry answered my call and explained why we have no need to remediate what was safe in its present condition, notwithstanding the re-roofing we are about to perform on the house. In other words, although he could have suggested we engage him for some remediation work for which I apparently would have had no need, he was honest and talked me out of paying for something I did not need. Class act.

Wonderfully. They exceeded my expectations in terms of personnel and operations. They have their methods down to a science. They are efficient, fast and clean. Getting rid of asbestos could have been a real nightmare, which is why I'd put it off for some time, but they made it easy and safe.

AllClear did an exceptional and professional job. The only issue is sometimes they are hard to get a hold of. Talked with the owner and was impressed with his responsiveness. I would hire them again. I have small children and felt secure that Alclear was not going to cut corners. That gave me a peace of mind! Safety was their priority!

We just bought a house, and needed to get some popcorn ceiling containing asbestos removed. However, we were on a tight timeline due to the 10 day waiting period. Larry took that into consideration, and scheduled work to begin as soon as the 10 day waiting period was over. His crew arrived on time, and were very professional. They made sure all affected areas were sealed off, and cleaned up throughly after work was done. Price was fair, and work was done just in time for our move into the new home.

I hope I never have another asbestos problem again, but if I did, or if someone I knew had one, I would definitely recommend Larry and All Clear again. Thanks Larry and Hector. This is a true statement and I stand by it. :-)

Like I said, I didn't actually need his services, but he is reliable and punctual.
Description of Work: I called because I was told I had asbestos in my attic by two different a/c companies. I received a call back immediately from Larry Enos. He was able to come to my home the same day to check it out! He immediately said he didn't think I had any, but took two samples, bagged and labeled them, and told me where to take them for testing. If they were positive, then he'd return to give me a quote and remove the asbestos. Well, he was right - no asbestos. He was wonderful, so professional, and even though I didn't have asbestos, so sorry I didn't get to hire him! He is very smart, professional, and most courteous. A++++ provider.

My wife and I had planned to remodel our kitchen. We had made plans and drawn up contracts for flooring, counter, appliances and cabinets, when we discovered that we needed to do abatement on our kitchen linoleum. Because materials such as tile, appliances and cabinetry were already ordered and delivered, we found ourselves in a critical bind, - particularly when we have to store these items outside while waiting for primary work to be completed. Mr. Enos answered our call and in a very professional manner, took the situation in hand. Both he and his employees prosecuted this job with the utmost of care and expertise, even in handling ALL AQMD permit issues, were very professional, and did follow-up to ensure that our project did not suffer what could have been a drastic delay, which would have left our household in a tremendous bind. I would recommend Mr. Enos and his staff to anyone seeking a competent and highly expert organization if you require these services. This organization is "old school" and "top drawer".

All Clear did a great job of removing the asbestos from my attic. They were very professional and arrived early for the job. They constructed the tunnel of sheeting/plastic as described and made sure to cover the floors and protect my home. They covered the lights, house fan, and registers as discussed and made quick work of the removal of the ducting. They completes the entire job in just over four hours. I was very pleased with their work. I popped into the attic and see that it is duct free as we discussed and the registers are intact. The team did a great job and I'd use them again -- but I am asbestos free at this point in my home. I gave a B on Responsiveness because I did have to keep on Larry to follow up, send the contract and get back to me. However, based on the price and the good service/work, this was a minor detail.
Description of Work: All Clear removed asbestos wrapped ducting in my attic (Roughly 1400 sq ft), including removing the asbestos tape around the registers. The registers were left intact. All Clear covered over 12 recessed lights for me and also my house fan.

Larry was great to work with. I called him and he answered the phone directly and made himself available to discuss the work with me and answer all of my questions on the spot. I had previously tested samples of the ceiling with a lab that only does testing to check if the popcorn ceiling contained asbestos, which it did. I let Larry know this and I then gave him measurements of the room. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone and discussed my scheduling options including the time it takes to request a permit and if I needed to rush the job I could pay a bit more for an emergency permit. All Clear takes care of all of this, you just need to fill out 2 simple forms. Larry was very informative and thorough. I had a bunch of questions and he was helpful and patient with me which I appreciated. After reading the reviews on Angie?s list and having our phone conversation I was confident with choosing All Clear and did not look for a second estimate. His crew was very professional and respectful. They took my ceiling fan down and put all the screws in a ziploc bag for me.The work took about 5 hours or so. They covered the room walls and floor with heavy duty plastic and left the room very clean and took all of the debris with them. My house is 110 years old and I asked them remove the plaster off the ceiling so that I can do electrical updates and put up new dry wall. I was concerned that the plaster might also contain asbestos and had not tested it. Larry said it was unlikely to have asbestos, but suggested he test the plaster the day of the job just to make sure. I really appreciate him accommodating me at no extra charge. The plaster did not contain asbestos, but I had them remove it anyway due to the convenience of having it done professionally and cleaned up afterwards. I felt the price was fair and worth it. Overall, they did a great job and I would recommend them. The only thing I didn?t confirm was whether they did any air test samples after the room was cleaned up. I read some other companies do that and I?m not 100% sure if All Clear does that as well.

I want to start off saying that I gave an F in pricing because Larry Enos would not accept any money for this job. I not only offered it repeatedly, but adamantly. No matter how disastrous the job, I signed a contract which my set of morals and values demanded I honor. However, Larry Enos not only wouldn't accept the agreed upon price, he ordered his employees not to either. He said he didn't take the money because what mattered to him most was not the money but customer satisfaction. On this point I will agree with his policy, but I was not going to be the one who, based on the almost unexplainable poor quality and destructive results of what his employees did to our attic, not to pay. I first contacted Larry Enos of All Clear Environmental in 2014 to bid for the job of removing all asbestos from our attic. Larry personally went up into the attic and looked around. All I knew is that we had some asbestos wrapped ducts, remnants from an old swamp cooler installed in 1955 and replaced with A/C in 1991. I know this because my parents bought this house as land in 1952. Watched the house go up, moved in in 1953 and never left. .When they passed I inherited the house. As I had no knowledge of any asbestos in our attic other than the ducts this was all I mentioned, but made it very clear I wanted ALL the asbestos removed from our attic. Larry agreed we indeed had asbestos in our attic which he could remove. HE NEVER BROUGHT UP OR DISCUSSED WITH ME AT ANY TIME THAT HE SAW WE HAD ASBESTOS IN OTHER PLACES BESIDES THE DUCTS. My wife and I had originally decided we would hire All Clear Environmental to do the job. But when we went to secure Earthquake Insurance that year, we discovered our home was now beyond the age for the insurance we wanted unless it was retrofitted. Our 2014 funds went to do that job. But I held on to Larry's bid. When we were ready, I called Larry to give us another estimate. He graciously responded that he would honor the price of the previous year if I paid him in cash. I happily agreed and dates were set. At first Larry specified he needed TWO days. Getting exact timing was crucial as not only were we removing the asbestos, we were removing all the old insulation , all other existing ducts and then replacing everything. We made arrangements with the HVAC company we hired to come in the day after Larry finished as we would be without any A/C during the time in between. Because of the extreme heat, my wife got a hotel room near her work. We also moved our 3 cats to a boarding facility. A few days before the start date Larry conveyed by phone and email that now he only needed ONE day. I asked if he was sure. He said yes and I'd have the air samples back that same day. I contacted our HVAC company and they were generously moved about their schedule to accommodate us. This is exactly what our contract from All Clear Environmental read: "We propose to furnish all labor and materials necessary abatement. All work shall be performed in accordance with all OSHA and EPA regulations. SCOPE OF WORK: as per a report, (I took this to mean all the asbestos Larry personally saw in our attic) 1. Isolation of work areas. 2, Utilization of pressure differential system and decontamination facilities. 3. Remove asbestos as follows: A. Remove all asbestos ducting from the attic. B. Strip the plenum and encapsulate the register boots. 4. Decontaminate the work area. 5. Encapsulation of abated work areas. 6. Disposal of asbestos containing waste at proper landfill. 7. Personal air monitoring during abatement.. Bid Amount $750.00 COD." NOTHING ELSE WAS EVER MENTIONED TO ME. When the two employees arrived from All Clear, one asked if they were doing our attic or basement. We don't have a basement and he had a copy of the contract in front of him on a clipboard. The other employee spoke no English. In saved emails I told Larry that I absolutely needed an Unconditional Mechanics Lien Release when the job was paid for. He said his employees would bring it with them. What they brought was NOT an Unconditional Mechanics Lien Release. The English speaking employee didn't had never heard of this document so I called Larry. He immediately thought my request for a proper document was a personal affront to his personal integrity and a denigration to his business. None of this was ever communicated in either words or tone. This was an agreed upon document and I was promised one in writing. Larry too didn't understand what a proper Lien Release should include so he asked me to write one, take a pic of it, and email that to him. While I was on the phone with Larry, the non English speaking worker started working. After the Lien Release issue was settled I reiterated the importance of finishing in one day because the other company was coming at 7am the next morning. Larry knew what all of our intentions were regarding the attic. One of the things the HVAC company was doing was to remove and replace all our register covers. Larry offered to remove them. I agreed .Somehow this became THE ENTIRE REGISTER AND BOOT, WHICH DAMAGED THE SURROUNDING DRY WALL, 6 ELBOW JOINTS ABOVE THE REGISTERS NEEDED BY THE OTHER COMPANY SO THEY COULD CONNECT OUR NEW AIR DUCTS. The English speaking employee took it on himself to remove all those things even though THEY WERE NOT IN THE CONTRACT. He said - 'Oh, well they have asbestos on them so I took them.' This became a spiraling disaster as I discovered one thing after another removed which were NOT mentioned in the contract. The English speaking employee said Larry told him to remove ALL asbestos. So he was doing that. I was in a complete panic. How was the HVAC company supposed to do their job now? We hadn't contracted for any of the extra materials and labor that they would need. If the job was cancelled the DAY BEFORE they were going to start we would have been in violation of our contract and subsequently owe the HVAC company the full contract price of $8,300.00. The HVAC company had nothing to do with this disaster and my wife and I agreed they deserved to be paid in full whether or not they worked. To his credit, Larry came to the house to try and fix the problem. But the devastation and destruction was already beyond his abilities to fix. I heard him tell the English speaking employee over and over 'JUST GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER. WHY DID YOU TAKE THOSE?' When he realized the damage was irreversible, Larry then turned the blame on me because I didn't ask him about all those other things which carried asbestos. I informed him he never told me anything about these other issues and THEY WERE NOT ON THE CONTRACT. Larry kept insisting it was my fault and I kept insisting it was his responsibility to inform his clients exactly what needed to be removed. I was not the professional in this area. He was and he had personally been in our attic when he wrote the original bid - which we used. Now an $8,300.00 job was on the line and he was taking no responsibility for this at all. He signed my written out Lien Release and refused to accept the money agreed upon. I demanded to pay him and he adamantly refused, yelling to his employees not to accept any money. He left. Then his employees left. Everyone left with our attic a complete mess, and the HVAC company unable to do their job and a mess on all our floors and rugs which they only half-heartedly addressed.. The HVAC company later informed me they left a mess in the attic. We called the HVAC company with the news and they offered to look at the damage and add the parts and labor now needed to our contract. We readily accepted even though this was going to cost us possibly a thousand dollars extra. Larry did contact our HVAC company to tell them what had happened, but when I spoke with the HVAC company they said Larry didn't give them any information they could use and they would just have to get into our attic and see for themselves. We are still in the process of trying to rescue what Larry's company destroyed. As of this time the HVAC company is still assessing all the extra work and labor. And their job will not finish on time because of the destruction All Clear left behind. My wife and I are incredibly grateful to our HVAC company. I believe Larry feels the $750.00 he didn't take would cover what was needed. Sadly it won't even come close.

They could have easily fooled me into have them to do the work, but they did not. They were honest and very professional. I did not have occasion to use them but would certainly call them and trust them if I need work in the future.
