Feder's Distributors specializes in air conditioning and appliance sales to management companies, multifamily apartment owners, builders, and contractors. Founded in North Hollywood, California more than 43 years ago, our company headquarters still remain at the same location today. We are the premier leader in sales, distribution, and installation of major kitchen appliances and room air conditioners within the Southern California multifamily market. We can deliver a single stove to an apartment unit or hundreds of stoves, dishwashers, and refrigerators throughout a newly constructed multifamily building or a rehabbed existing building. In addition, we also partnered with several major freight companies to deliver our products anywhere within California as well as the contiguous United States. Customers and their maintenance personnel can also will-call items at our North Hollywood showroom/warehouse at 5720 Lankershim Boulevard anytime during our normal business hours. At Feder’s, our goal is to ensure that our customer’s purchasing process remains simple by providing unmatched sales assistance and service from the planning stages of new projects to existing building replacement needs, using the highest quality products at the most competitive pricing. Purchased ac at store It was installed in about a week. They did a great job.
Description of Work: I went to the store were they quite a selection of wall AC picked one they came to my home and installed it. They cleaned up after the job was done would use them again..

It was a high heat warning day -- temp was 100+ degrees; house was registering almost same temp. Waited almost 9 hours for service. Tech showed at approx 8pm - we had no hope of getting another company out that evening. Verified at mfr and amazon websites the fuse retails for 34 to 45 cents. 450% markup on product!!. On Monday, tried to contact management to discuss "price gouging." Was told by Daniel that we should have turned down the service if we did not like the price. I stated i was attempting to resolve before publishing an online review. Daniel claimed "was not concerned about a review at Angie's list." Note, found out Feder's has over 30 complaint issues at BBB -- many are about unethical pricing and service.
Description of Work: Our AC unit would not turn - fuse was burnt out. Was advised of $45 service call quote, waived if you hired them for repair. Tech showed up with iPhone plugged in and only disconnected one ear plug. We had half his attention for the less than 10 minute service call. He confirmed problem was the 5 amp fuse. We felt like it was extortion -- tech actually held the part up in his hand, quoted $150 price, and asked "do you want it or not?" Temp was 100+ degrees - house temp was about the same!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, this review is not for our company. There is a service company with a similar name (Feder's Co.) located across the street from us. We only sell new air conditioners, kitchen appliances, and laundry units. We have been here for more than 46 years. The service company was recently sold to the current owner after the owner of that company passed away. Please resubmit your review. Thanks again!

Feder's was helpful in choosing the right size window air conditioner for a room where we have with a 12 foot ceiling. Other stores recommended much smaller units that definitely would not have cooled the space.
