Lorenzo and his crew worked hard day after day, prepping surfaces and carefully controlling hazardous dust before priming and painting. The 3-B?z crew was well trained in the proper techniques for applying the newest low-VOC paints -- the finished product is just beautiful! 3-B?z crew members were skilled, polite, and receptive to feedback ? if we noticed a problem, they would fix it right away. The following list details the procedures Lorenzo Vivar and the 3-B?z crew follow (by the way, we recommend that you include a list of these procedures in any painting contract): 1) They covered and protected furniture, floors, and other items with plastic sheeting, rosin paper, masking tape, and masking paper before they began; 2) They removed door knobs, switch plates, electrical plates, cover plates, light covers, etc., so they could paint underneath them -- that way there was no possibility of rings around the door knobs and other covers if they shifted; also, it's important to seal old paint; 3) They used masking tape, sheet plastic, etc., to protect all stained woodwork (such as beams) ? also windows, fixtures, counters, etc.; 4) They put up dust barriers with plastic, masking tape, and specialized zippers in order to confine the dust from sanding; 5) They patched all the irregularities, holes, and cracks with the appropriate compounds (they are incredible patchers); 6) They sanded to remove loose and flaking paint, as well as the gummy paint left by the previous painters; they also sanded to take off the sheen for better adhesion and remove any excess patching; 7) They vacuumed as they went to get rid of dust, dirt, and debris in the painting area (so that it wouldn?t get into the paint); 8) They thoroughly cleaned off all of the surfaces to be painted, including walls, to remove dust, grease, and other substances before painting to increase paint adhesion; 9) They always applied primer (sometimes two coats when necessary), and they always applied the recommended two coats of paint; and, in addition, 10) Lorenzo gave us invaluable advice about the paint products that would be best for our job -- he's is a real pro. These are all the things that make for a lasting paint job, but a lot of painters take short cuts in order to speed things up ? sometimes you won?t know it until your paint starts to peel a few short months after the job. But not our paint job! It will be around for years to come, thanks to Lorenzo and his crew. We feel very fortunate to have found the right painters.

Excellent detailed work in a timely manner. Carpets were covered and windows cleaned after the work was completed. I was very happy with the service and quality.

We had a painter at the house for months and months. When he didn't finish the job to our satisfaction we started to look for someone else. We found their flyer in our mailbox and we gave 'em a call. Anita and Ben came out within a day or two and spotted things even we had missed. We were very impressed with their attention to detail and obvious knowledge. They gave us an estimate, and just to be on the safe side, we checked Angie's List to find someone for another estimate. We found someone with a ton of rave reviews and he came out and gave us an estimate. We liked him very much, but his estimate was exactly TWICE what Anita's was. So we booked the job with Anita and the job was started the following week and finished in three days. Every last thing we wanted done was done well. They left our house immaculate.
