We had a pick up scheduled between 8 and 10 on the 31st - contractor did not show up or bother to call to cancel or reschedule. I confirmed the service with Pauline on the 29th. This is the first bad experience I've had with an "A" rated contractor on Angie's list - I hope it's the last.

It went well. They are good people to deal with. I think they take pride in that and it shows through.

The job was bigger than the cost of the service I purchased so the driver explained this to my dad and gave him the updated cost. My dad still wanted the job done. We are SO happy the junk is gone!

.Was on time to make an estimate. Very punctual 7AM. Was completed in 50 minutes. Did a perfect job of clean up.

Fast a little mix up on me the poc (point of contact) but over all once they found what I needed. They did there job. Scheduling is a issue, but job was done fast.

I first called the provider immediately after purchasing the special on Angie's List, because I wanted to schedule the work quickly before leaving on vacation. They did schedule it for the day after - but then kept me waiting until late in the day, before calling me to tell me that they had been delayed on other jobs and couldn't make it to my place. I had to reschedule for a couple of weeks later - and on that appointment too, there was a slight mix-up of times, causing me to spend some time calling to verify when they would come. Once they did come, Ron and his crew were very efficient and quick in terms of getting the work done. I knew in advance that I would have to pay more than the advertised price, because of the quantity of trash that needed to be picked up - but I felt that the amount quoted to me on the spot seemed to be slightly on the higher side - but obviously, I had no choice to assess if it was higher or lower - if I do this again, I would probably ask more carefully about the price and how it is determined. The work was done quickly and efficiently - and Ron's crew did it with a minimum of disruption, in spite of a slightly tricky access to the backyard. They cleaned up the area reasonably well afterwards and did the job professionally.

They removed much of what I needed removed

I was really underwhelmed - especially after reading the glowing reviews. Scheduling was a nightmare because they kept canceling - without much or any notice. I stayed home several times only to have them not show. So frustrating and a huge waste of my time and money. When they finally came, I thought they did a mediocre job and charged me for an entire man hour that they didn't work ( they left 15 mins early x 4 people). I would not call them again - I can get more work done, better, just hiring my kids.

They contacted me and let me know they do not service my area. They were prompt in curtious in contacting me.

The "deal" was for 3 or more tree service professionals for 8 hours of labor each, professional tree climbers, wood chipper service. On the plus side, they arrived promptly at 8a.m.. First, they trimmed off some heavy limbs that were hanging over the house. Then, they trimmed some bushes that were along the driveway. One big bush was just "snipped"...it takes over the sidewalk and part of the driveway because it grows so quickly. We had to keep telling them to trim more. One guy was using a long tool to snip of clumps of 3 or 4 leaves. They took an hour lunch. Finally, they moved to the back where we had some very overgrown, HEAVY limbs hanging on and weakening the cinderblock fence. They did a good job here...the limbs were heavy and bulky. Unfortunately, there was NO WOOD CHIPPER. Their truck held a lot of debris, but it filled up quickly. They had to spend a lot of time cutting the limbs to fit into the truck. When the truck was full, they were at the 6 hour mark and that's all they could do. The two trees on a slope that we wanted taken down or at least trimmed down were not touched. They said it would be another $900 to do that work.

After purchasing and clearly stating my area was within service area, they cancelled and said it was too far. Huge hassle, no communication, rude.

Purchased an 8 hour deep clean on Angie's List. I initially was very pleased with Pauline on the phone who was able to schedule me the next afternoon. That evening at 9:30pm she calls me saying I had to change the schedule and have the cleaners come from 8-10am. I proceeded to get 2 more phone calls at 9:45pm from Ron telling me either I had to switch or cancel so I switched around my schedule and made it work. When we spoke on the phone I informed them this is a 3000 sq/ft home but was empty since we had not moved in yet and Pauline said they would bring 2-3 cleaners. Upon arrival she said since they have 2 cleaners they would clean for 4 hours, then contact me, send pictures and find out if I wanted anything else done at that point. If I wanted anything past the 4 hours I had to pay an additional $80/hour (on top of the $229 I already paid). I told her my priorities were the floors, base boards, 4 bathrooms and the kitchen. I get a call after 4 hours, (never received pictures) saying they hadn't even gotten to the bathrooms yet. After paying an additional $120 we were done. The next day we see the house the kitchen was not complete (microwave not cleaned, under the kitchen sink not cleaned, floors not cleaned), master bathroom wasn't touched, second floor bathroom I know for sure the toilet wasn't cleaned so i question whether it was touched at all. My husband contacted them saying he was very unhappy with the service and Pauline told him that the only thing I told her to clean was the kitchen and bathrooms (incorrect!). I then contacted Pauline and received no return phone call. The cleaners were there by themselves and given the way the house looked I am fairly convinced they didn't even stay to clean the house but left after 1-2 hours.

We were very pleased with the end result and even more pleased when Ron called us back to advise that he had made an error on his invoice and overcharged us, and he rectified the issue very quickly. We would recommend Ron's Hauling to anyone needing a garage clean out.

It all went excellently. We were very happy with the end result. Best part is that the remainder is clean and organized. Also, there is now room to park one of our two cars. Thank you, Ron and staff!

Company owner came to my house to see the work that needed to be done, and told me how much work they would perform for the big deal price. It was less than the amount of work I need. I already have obtained quotes from other companies to do what I need doing for less than the big deal price.

Company had family emergency. Failed to contact me before scheduled pickup time. I contacted them to find out the reason for the inability to adhere to the contracted time and place as I had arranged prior to this "Family Emergency!" I removed all of the items from a Public Storage unit prior to the scheduled pickup time with Ken's Hauling Service. I set them in front of the main storage facility for easier removal of these items for Ken's Hauling Service. The scheduled time was between the hours of 8am to 10am, Monday, November 10th, 2014. I called Ken's Hauling Service at 10:15am to inquire about the lateness of the truck that was supposed to be pickup these items. Pauline, the service administrator, notified me of a family emergency and all of their appointments for that day were cancelled! I am not a "Happy Camper" of Ken's Hauling Service. I ha just previously closed my account with Public Storage on the unit that was housing these items to be picked up!!! So, consequently, I re-rented that very same unit to re-house these items to be hauled away by Ken's Hauling Service, so that I could find another service! What a major headache!

Suggested 3 days for service to be scheduled as directed when purchased. Two days after the last requested scheduled services received an email from them stating they would be calling on a date certain to schedule service. Two days after date certain they to call and schedule no call received.

Once I gave Ron my phone # and address that he requested, could no longer reach him. This was via messenger.

Earlier, when he was 2.5 hours late I submitted a very negative review. When he arrived, he had said that he was trying to reach me over the past several days on my home and cell phones -- turns out that he did not have the phone numbers I left when scheduling but old and not-updated phone numbers from Angie's List [ooops]. Once they arrived and we straightened out the problem they got to work. We went through the garage item by item to discuss what to do with them (options: save, trash or give-away). Ron's three workers got immediately started on the work. Everything was done graciously and with care for the objects and my requests. The Big Deal I purchased was $149 and I read the description as 4 men for $149 for up to 4 hours. Re-reading it, it says $149 for up to 4 MAN-hours. A bargain slipped away but he did give me, since I purchased through Angie's the same rate for each hour work with the 4 men who were here. In the end, the bill was $582. Aside from the high quality of the job, there is no calculating the value of having another nightmare garage bring a very pleased smile rather than dread on entry. In this case, my garage was actually a large car-port attached to a garage full of open-to-the-wind-and-rain storage. LA county air is full of fierce fine grit that covers a car in 3-4 hours. Days, weeks, months the accumulation was extraordinary, every crevice breached. The filth they swept, blew and washed was astonishing in magnitude. Good work, thanks Ron.

When I first paid for the service, he called and sent messages every week and I told him it would be summer before I needed him. I asked him how much notice he needed. He said a week. I sent a message 10/14 saying I needed him 10/28, 29 or 30. He wrote back for my address and phone # and I never heard from him again. I sent another message and gave up. We ended up renting a dumpster for $80 and did the work ourselves.

Very professional. Called me right back, showed up on time and communicated very well. I would definitely recommend them again.

They arrived (Ron and two others on time with a truck for hauling away trash and multiple containers they used to separate the garages contents. They removed everything from the garage and separated everything into piles for discards, donations, metal, toxic materials and items to save. After cleaning the garage, they brought everything we wanted saved back in and organized it.. I was very happy with the service and would hire him again. In fact, I will be hiring him to help clean out and organize my storage facility. It was very important to be available to make decisions.

I purchased the Big Deal with them, and set up an appointment with them for noon the next day. They called twice to confirm the appointment, but never showed up. The company also eluded to us that the work would cost more money than the cost of the deal.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for $760. Ron and his crew were professional, fast and everything went great.
