By far, the BEST home improvement company that I have worked with. Customer service was excellent. I worked with a lady named Barbara and she was simply the BEST. She was very helpful, had a wealth of knowledge and was concerned with my needs and wants.

I got my roof done after the big storms and it started leaking in our kitchen and bedrooms! I hired Chriswell and told them we would need to start immediately. Joy was our project manager and she helped us get people out right away. I am so grateful for her and her team. I recommend them for everything and they're coming out soon to do our windows!

If i could give a zero, i would. Barbara came to our house and quoted an insane amount for a bathroom remodel. When i emailed her during the week for a price breakdown of labor and materials, she ghosted me wo reply. Becareful of this company. They seem to be very shady. The bathroom remodel was quoted for $35k and it would take 3 months. That itself had me questioning the accuracy of the high level quote.

The company and workers were great. I was especially impressed with respectful, knowledgeable and pleasant workers. They cleaned up after a day’s work. Very tidy. I would definitely recommend this company for any home improvement projects.

I was very clear that I needed a roof repair estimate. "Estimator" showed up to my house without a ladder, footwear you definitely wouldn't plan on climbing around a roof, and had zero interest in helping me with what I needed. Only there for the up-sale of a new roof. Also was told, after they arrived, that both my wife and myself needed to be present for an estimate. Asked as politely as I could to leave. Very disappointing.

Max, Sergie, Bryan and Joy did an outstanding job. All of them were very professional and attentive to our questions and concerns. The craftsmanship was phenomenal. They met our expectations far and beyond. We are very pleased with the outcome of our new siding giving the appearance of a new house. We highly recommend ChrisWell for all your home improvements and repairs😃

Great experience with the guys who did all the construction. Gilbert, Luis, Steve, Daniel, Cris s as I’d Kevin were awesome. Gilbert was there almost every day and was very professional and did excellent tile work. He really helped overcome 2 issues based on a sales and pre site inspection deficiency. He made the experience go well! Luis was there for all the little details that add up to the big finish and was great at all the paint work. Steve was the wizard that installed our free standing tub and the vanity to really make the room look great. Excellent experience working with the workers who did the work.

I love my new windows. all work was excellent. Derek did an excellent job with the drywall and texture and was very detail oriented. I would recommend Chriswell home improvement to all of my friends and family.

Overall work was performed well I am very satisified with the job done. I would hire them again. I especially appreciated Derek for his fine workmanship and attention to detail. Scheduling was delayed a little but as per covid mandates it was to be expected. Chriswell has earned a lifetime customer and I will be recommending them to everybody I know for there home improvement needs.

Our bathroom renovation was recently finished (Jan. 2022). The result was highly satisfying. The lead, Gilbert Rosas, was professional and attentive to our needs in listening, and also suggesting design modifications. We greatly appreciated the focus on detail and keeping us informed on project progress. From the initial introduction and design suggestions by Nat Childs, and the project layout by Erik Hoover, through the completion of the work by Gilbert and the other workers; we happily have a new bathroom.

If I could summarize my experience with Chriswell Home Improvements in three words, it would be “pride in workmanship.” Let me start by saying this is not my first experience with a remodeling contractor but it is by far my best. My last foray into this type of project was a kitchen remodel in 2015. I will not detract from this positive review to talk about that experience other than saying I wish I had used Chriswell rather than “the Kmart of Kitchen renovations.” You can always look up that review on Yelp. While I have some experience with construction (on the kitchen project I handled the demolition, the rough construction and electrical with the help of a contractor friend), I was not about to tackle my bathroom renovation. Our bathroom renovation was by no means a standard project. We were combining a half bath with a full bath to create a single bathroom. The half bath was original to the house (1954) while the full bath that shared a wall with the half bath, was built, by the prior owners as part of a remodel in the 1970s. Let’s just say the full bath had its quirks, beginning with the 21” wide entry door located right behind the kitchen table. No guest ever wanted to use it, instead going around the corner to the half bath that backed up to it. When we decided to remodel, I had serious reservations about using another generic remodeling company found at a home show rather than a general contractor who would bring in subcontractors where needed. We ended up talking to Chriswell at a home show to get an idea of what we would be facing and due to the uncertainty of the times/economy, we decided to lock in with them. I will say now that it was one of the best decisions we could have made. It started with meeting Eric, the superintendent who walked through the project with me but continued through the entire crew beginning with Gil, the foreman and Derek, the point person and main guy on the job along with Gil. Now that the description of the project is finished, let me get back to my first statement about Chriswell’s employees, that is “pride in workmanship. I’ll start with Derek. He handled most of the demolition and with Gil, the installation of the new sheetrock, moving the heater duct, installing the vent fan and the patching of the paneling on the dining room side. Several times, beginning with Derek’s insistence that he had to complete the taping and texturing of the new sheetrock because he was concerned that the switch in the middle of the job would be evident in the difference in technique. A better example, however, was after the new recessed lights were installed by Daniel, the electrician. I had noticed that they were connected to the wrong switch (hooked in with the vanity lights instead of the ceiling fan light). Before I could even say anything, when Derek came in the next morning, he had removed a section of the ceiling to rewire the lights because it did not seem right to him. When it came to the paneling, both Gil and Derek said that they did not like the options to patch the door opening. There was no way to match the 1970s (as it turned out made in Japan) paneling. They said it just would not look right and they would prefer to replace the entire wall. We discussed it and decided to match the bead board that is on the kitchen side of the dining room. These are just two examples of many. I’ll continue with Gil. As he was finishing the bead board, he did not like how the last piece would look because he would have to patch two pieces together. Instead, he bought a second sheet so I would not have a horizontal seam in the center of the piece even though it was in the corner and only about two feet wide. When they installed my vanity and sink, the stopper provided with the faucet would not work so Gil purchased one that worked but it was a push button style, making the pull bar on faucet non-functional. Isaiah, the plumber added a nut to the underside of the pull stop so it could not be accidentally pulled out. Again, because it would not have looked right if that piece was removed. As long as I’m talking about Isaiah, I wanted to mention that his first day on the job, he noticed I had paint brushes drying by my utility sink in the garage. He made a point of telling my wife that I should not wash my brushes in the sink because he has seen costly plumbing repairs because paint settled in pipes. He did not have to do that. The other two workers who stood out with their commitment to their jobs were Matt, the tile installer and Luis, the drywall/texture finisher. I’ll start with Matt. When I was looking at the shower and complimenting him on the tile, he said, “when I finish the job, I don’t want anyone to have to come back to fix something.” That stood out to me. Luis came in to finish the texturing towards the end of the job. He did not have time to finish the Friday he was brought in so he asked if he could come in on Saturday to finish. It once again reflected the whole company’s commitment to finish the job without cutting corners. I will end this review with my experience on the final walkthrough and the follow-up work. Eric came over for the final. I pointed out that I was not satisfied with the height of the light fixture and the location of the mirror. They were a little low and off-center. I said if there was an issue with moving the fixture, I could live with it, but I wanted the mirror raised and centered on the sink instead of the fixture. Eric’s response was that I should not have to settle for anything. I should be pleased with it and if I’m not, they will fix it. He had Gil and Matt out two days later to take care of both the mirror and the light. Not only did they fix the bathroom, but it was garbage day and after they left, I went to move my garbage cans back to the side of the house only to find that they had taken care of them for me. This small act, combined with their pride in workmanship shows the quality of people that represent Chriswell Home Improvement Company in the field.

After seeing the high ratings of this company we decided to have Chriswell do the siding on the front of our home. We had some minor hiccups along the journey with some of the work but they were incredibly responsive and desired to make sure they got it right. The Superintendent Eric was very attentive. Luis was the most conscientious, he listened carefully to our concerns and he and Steve worked hard to get it done right. Luis and Steve both took pride in their workmanship and we are so pleased with our new siding job.

We just had our bathroom remodeled at our house in Sacramento. Dante, the foreman, and Nathan were both professional and great guys. They arrived every morning we they said they'd be here, always worked diligently and kept us in the loop as to what was going on with the remodel, and what to expect in the following days. The quality of their work was exemplary. They never skimped on materials - only top quality stuff - and were accurate and detailed in their work. I highly recommend Criswell, and, if you are lucky enough to work with Dante and Nathan, you'll know the job will be done right. FIVE STARS!

My husband and I had the best experience with Fidel and Merlin they were very polite and courteous we have had some pretty bad companies come in our house and wouldn’t use them again but we will forever use your business especially if these two young men still work for you I have not one complaint against them they deserve a raise in my opinion, I will give your company a good word of mouth and putting a post on Carmichael site for you all thank you so much love my bathroom

This was the worst home improvement I have ever encounter. Job started in January and still not done. For $15,000 you would expect some sort of quality. They ruined the surrounding walls and tried to fix with spay texture which did not work because you can’t fix bad patching with that material. The caulking looked like a two year old did it. The bench listed in contract was not done and they put in a seat with raw edges. The shower valve was not installed correctly so can’t shut off the water and here it is March and they are unresponsive!! Do not use this so called contractor go elsewhere

Thank you Chriswell Home Improvements for an amazing Bathroom remodel! I would like to share my five star experience with Chriswell home improvements. After searching for awhile and having more than a few companies over to see the bathroom that was to be remodeled and get an estimate, I decided on Chriswell and I’m glad I did. Richard and Amanda came over and I appreciated that they worn masks. They looked at the bathroom listened to my needs and wants, took measurements and then we sat around the kitchen. They figured out a few different possibilities for the bathroom all the time showing me how everything broke down and answering any question I had. We finally settling on what worked best for my family and budget. This was super refreshing after having several contractors and companies simply pop there head in the bathroom take no measurements and quote some crazy price out of what seemed to be thin air. Thank you Richard and Amanda for listening and making my Bathroom remodel a success. However it was not just Chriswell Home Improvement sales team that left me feeling great about decision. When the day came to start the project I was met by the foreman Mat, The Contractor Dante and his assistant Merlin. They told me exactly what they where going to do and how the next couple of days where going to play out. Chriswell dose not use subcontractors so all the people working on my bathroom actually work at Chriswell. This gave me piece of mind knowing that every one was on the same page and held to Chriswell’s high standards. I was especially impressed with Dante and Merlin. Out the gate Dante made sure that I always knew what was going on and encouraged me to ask him anything if I had any questions. Which I did. Having Dante working on my bathroom being a third Generation remodeler and with his decades of experience made me even more confident that I had made the right decision. Dante added some little details which really meant a lot to me and definitely enhanced the overall look of the bathroom. Dante and Merlin where both respectful, worked hard and keep there work site tidy and clean. I could not have asked for two better workmen to do this project. Thank you Dante and Merlin for your hard work. The Bathroom looks great and our Family loves it. All in all I am super happy with the outcome of the bathroom remodel and I look forward to working with Chriswell home improvement again on future projects. You guys are amazing. I give 100 stars. Al and Rick are who we had our consultations with. Very knowledgeable. If they didn’t have an exact answer, they tell you and definitely follow up by the next day. They come out and see you on your time. They were here one night till 10:30, going over all of our concerns with the house and their products they offer, financing they will look into on your behalf and how different financing programs work. Joy has been incredible with keeping us up to date on the work timelines, photos, and paperwork via phone calls, text and emails. Then there is the crew! They all have been courteous, friendly, prompt and polite that also cleans up after themselves which includes vacuums and blowers. The roof looks gorgeous. It made a huge difference right away. The windows look beautiful. We got them last week and still have not put the blinds back up yet because we don’t want to hide them. I had 3 windows that I absolutely hated. I will literally stand at the new windows and take in the new look. We can’t get enough of them. The paint is currently being done and I have NO DOUBT that it will blow us away. Just the prep work already made the house look outstanding (we had a lot of dry rot and bubbled paint that was fixed). All the while, Rick and Al checking in on us to see how WE are and if the jobs are to our satisfaction. We are beyond happy. Our whole experience has been wonderful and all of this would not be possible without everyone at Chriswell.

This company deserves ZERO stars but in order to write a review, I had to put one star. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company. Since the beginning of the project, I interacted with unprofessional employees. The sales rep promised me all of the renovations I wanted and then when it was time to order products, she started lowballing the shower head, faucets, sink and wanted me to order everything from overstock so that it was cheaper and less quality. I signed on to do a $30,000 bathroom renovation and I was told to purchase items for $50 or less. Once I complained to the company, another representative came to my house to smooth over the situation. He promised my husband and I all of the previous choices for installation that were made and promised us that we would be pleased with the renovation. Before the project got started, COVID-19 happened and everything was on pause. At the end of May 2020, I stated getting calls again to start the project and pick paint and a shower head. Then all of a sudden, I received an email for a change order for over $3,000, which would be added to my already insane amount of $30,000. This change order was because I wanted to add extra tiles to a closet that is a part of the bathroom. Mind you, this was already discussed with the contractor when the walk through happened. After I left several messages for the representative, I did not receive any call backs. Now I was being ignored. So, I started calling the main office. Then, I finally find out the representative I was working with all of a sudden has retired early and now I will be dealing with the lead contractor. I was okay with this because this lead contractor was present at my house during the walk through, so he knows the plan. I schedule an appointment to go over all the details with him on 06/19/20. Everything goes well and I get a renovation start date of July 13, 2020. Then on 06/24/20, I get a phone call that I would have to pay for more change orders because now there is more plumbing that needs to be paid or and tiles. It was starting to get ridiculous. I was fed up and frustrated. This company is not professional and they do not know how to treat their clients. I was very disappointed. I cancelled my renovation and wanted my deposit money back. The representative that was in charge of my renovation was quick to say "ok, I will send you your deposit money asap!" There was no communication with me to help me resolve this situation or keep me as a customer. THIS COMPANY WILL KEEP ON CHANGING YOUR CONTRACT AND KEEP ON ADDING CHANGE ORDERS TO GET MORE MONEY. WHATEVER WAS INITIALLY DISCUSSED WILL CHANGE WEEKS OR MONTHS LATER AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PAY MORE MONEY! FRAUDS! DO NOT DO ANY RENOVATIONS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD AND TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE ****! HORRIBLE COMPANY!
