I was pleased. They were courteous and professional. Unlike some companies who have performed similar services in the past, they did not try to talk me into a new roof but rather told me I could continue safely with my present roof for some years if I continued to take care of it.

Excellent company to work with! I had several contractors bid on my roof and give me outrageous quotes. George and his son gave me a fair bid and documented everything that they would do to repair and replace my entire roof. They were very honest and able to give me an actual documented realistic quote--beware of contractors that pull up see the neighborhood and size of the house and add 50% or 60% to their undocumented verbal bid. George impressed me by giving me a quote that he would give a family member-and realistic! I have a 7,000 sqft spanish single tile roof. Georges team replaced vents, all of the felt paper and repaired many areas of wood that had water damaged and sealed 6 large skylights. We recycled the existing tile and replaced where necessary. The crew was reliable and showed up on time. The site was very well managed and the crew left the work site clean on a daily basis. The job took 2 1/2 weeks to complete and everything quoted was done to perfection. My roof is beautiful and leak free! George Parks did a fantastic job. A++

I called George based on his reputation and i really liked the fact they were family owned and operated for something like 37 years. I received multiple estimates for my roofing and painting projects and i felt that George was the best based on his experience. Ill be honest i am insane picky and George and his team impressed me every step of the process. They removed my old wood shake roofing and installed a new GAF shingle roof and they fixed a bunch of ugly stucco and painted the exterior. I was kinda mad at first because i had to wait 2 weeks to start the project but i am glad i did. His son was able to take pictures and commuicate with me very well. If you need roofing or painting give these guys a shot

Inspected roof and recommended repairs costing several thousand dollars Told them I couldn't afford extensive repairs at this time, but would like them to do the maintainance...sealing around vents and loose shingles if needed. Made appt for roof maintainance. Team showed up prepared to do extensive work and with contract for ? $4000? (can't remember it was so long ago). I told them I just wanted the maintainance. They said they were very busy and would need to reschedule such a small job. I was referred to Chris who had done the original inspection. I tried several times to reach him, unsuccessfully. I was later told he had been very ill for a time. After several attempts to get the BIG DEAL coupon work done, the owner told me they were just too busy for such a small job and to request a refund from Angies List. I did get a refund and wrote a review that indicated I did not have a good experience with this company. Then they called and said that could be harmful to their business, that they had been here for many years, with many satisfied customers. We agreed there may have been some miscommunications between us. They offered to seal the vents on my roof as a good will gesture. I agreed to withdraw my review. I did call and speak to an Angies List rep and asked to have my review removed. They did come out to do the vent sealing. They used BRIGHT WHITE sealer on my CHARCOAL BLACK roof. It looked terrible! Fortunately, most of those vents are not visible from the street, but everytime I was out on the side or in back of my house, I was very annoyed to see the work they did. It was really unnecessary to put white sealant on a black roof. I have to wonder what they were thinking! After that, I never wanted to speak to them again! There are several good and excellent reviews for this company on Angie's List and I do not dispute those. I just had a bad experience with this company. I got another roofer to do the needed repairs, for less money and he used black seal over their white sealer.

They were punctual, and everything was good! I would recommend them if anyone asked!

The various portions of the job seemed to be accomplished in a systematic and logical order.

I bought an Angie's list coupon to do interior painting. Unfortunately, due to my tight time constraints, they were not going to be able to complete the work in the time I required. Angie's "coupons" are a blessing and a pain at the same time. Everyone buys the coupons and then the service provider has a hard time delivery service to everyone who now expects it yesterday. When they were not going to be able to meet my expectations and needs, they kindly refunded my purchase. Based on this experience, I'd be happy to get a bid from them for future work.

I decided that I needed to fix the leaks in December 2012 after a big wind storm tore off the crowns. Parks came out again and agreed to fix everything for the same price, $3500. However, he told me that it would take two days and that they would have to completely recover two parts of my roof from scratch. The actual repairs only took about 5 hours and they only repaired a couple of drainage areas, they did not reroof the entire area in asphalt shingles as originally agreed. Then Parks charged me the same price.

My Requirements of quality took more time than he estimated, but he held to the contract price even though it took a lot more time. Apparently because my standards were so high he declined to bid on the rest of the house.

George Parks Roofing came out and thoroughly looked over my roof and provided an estimate for approximately $9,000, but with caveat that extent of repairs to wood due to termites, water damage would not be completely known until the entire roof was taken off. Their team came out on short notice, were punctual, professional, and efficient while rain was on the way. They did a great job, finished on time, and helped put me in contact with a sub to do some gutter work that will help prevent the kind of water damage that was caused by whoever put the roof on a couple decades ago. I did have to pay another $1,000 due to extensive deterioration of wood fascia boards in particular, but this seemed reasonable given the extent of the obvious damage.

George Parks, was here at the designated time, I had told him I had several leaks in my garage when it rained, showed him the areas and he proceeded to check out the locations. His conclusion was that a little caulking in the areas would solve the problems and I could do this myself for a cost around $5. So he suggested that I contact Angie's list and get my payment back, which I did. He also told me that both my garage roof and house roof should be okay for the next 3-5 years. This is an honest man who did not take advantage of a home owners as others would have. I plan on calling George when it is time to work on the roof. Hal Kraynek

They did a very good job and would use them again.

He walked me thru several options 1. Steel-wool the rust, oil primer and final coat of rustoleum with a paint match from Home Depot probably better suited for a handyman or painter. 2. Replace the cover and spark arrest-or which would require custom fabrication and boom crane to install at a cost of about $675. He continued to ask more questions and based on the extent of damage said he would probably wait a year or two before doing anything. I appreciated, very much, the honesty as most contractors would have gone for the change out option now. I decided to hold off and plan to give George a call down the line to change out.

The team showed up a few minutes late because of traffic...considering the distance, that is understandable. But then after looking at the bathroom....the supervisor (George?) asked for a tall ladder..... We really did not have one but then he said they did not bring one...I did remind him of the specifications that were sent to him in August...but he said the email was taken care of by someone else in the company.....and EVERYONE has a tall ladder! I looked in our garage and we did have a 6-7 foot folding ladder but one of the legs was uneven because of the heavy bumper on one of the legs was missing...I offered that one to the supervisor....he said it was fine and would use it because it would take too long to go back to get a tall ladder. So after about 15+ minutes they were able to start the job. I watched most of the work done but around lunch time there was noise in the bathroom...the door was closed...I knocked to ask if any thing was needed..the response was "no". He took a lunch break. Later I saw him when he finished the bathroom. Then I showed him the living room then he proceed to clean his equipment, brushes, rollers, rack, etc. in the back yard, before starting the next job which took longer than anticipated. When he finished what he could and was cleaning and packing to leave. He showed my husband and I the broken toilet seat hinge and cover. The bathroom paint job was so impressive to me that I forgot about the higher quality toilet seat.which later cost $35+ to replace..Stupid, Huh! Anyway, with the cost and time of the broken toilet seat, delay and bawling out received for not having a tall ladder, and the lost cleaning time because the poor painter only have the one bucket and equipment so had to spend excessive time cleaning and rearranging to start on the livingroom....that's why they don't get an A-rating from me. But what was painted was very good. ps. I am a hard grader, and a retired college professor, thus explains the ratings.

It all turned out great. Some of our walls are extremely high up, and they were able to get the job done and they did excellent work. They even took an extra step out of their way to help us which we appreciate.

The overall process was as painless as possible. His crew were very unobtrusive.

GEORGE PARKS ROOFING & PAINTING was able to describe what we think needs to be done and he gave me a number of $5800.00. That number is closer to what I want to be. We liked the work he did in the houses he referred to us.

Geroge Parks was called the week before and he was able to fit me in for the 2 day job. His men were prompt in coming to the site at the time that was predetermined. They filled all the picture holes as requested, removed the existing TV cabinet, replaced the wall back to its original form, fixed window sills and painted trim. They painted 2 bedrooms, a family room with very tall ceilings (20ft) and a stair well. THe work was done timely and with much care in their painting. Geroge Parks, the contractor was on site each day to see that the men were performing as stated. The job was finished timely and to perfection.
