Doug was the first to contact me, we went over what was going on and as we reviewed the specs he suggested to contact the mfg for a possible recall notice, although he probably won’t be the service tech to work the recall his honesty and professionalism is something we don’t see much of these days, I honestly believe it’s not necessarily about the job, but also about building the relationship, I know he’ll be my first choice if I have to replace the water heater and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a qualified service company.

The Hot Water Heater Company earned the 5 star review. After calling four other companies and explaining my hot water heater's issue and being told I would have to replace the unit, Doug was willing to trouble shoot the problem. My wife and I went from thinking we were going to be in for a $2100.00 replacement down to a $250.00 repair. The fact that Doug was willing to look at other options and did the right thing by trying to only repair the issue brings me to writing this review. Doug was able to send someone out that afternoon. His technician was professional and courteous and very proficient at his trade. I would hands down refer this company to anyone who is in need of this type of service.

Doug responded immediately, was extremely thorough and pleasant, excellent work removing old and installing new water heater with all safety and security features. Very skilled, considerate, best value and price. I recommend him VERY enthusiastically and gratefully!

Doug examined the water heater. Described the issue clearly. Recommended a replacement since a repair was next to impossible (leaking from bottom of water heater). Estimate given (if a replacement was needed, prior to work being done) was for all work and parts so nothing else was added on. Work was done in a few hours on the day of the call. Just great! Personable and friendly to interact with. Definitely would hire again if needed.

Doug was great. He checked and replaced our water heater in one visit. Super service and very personable. No pressure (pun not intended) and explained everything thoroughly. We definitely recommend.

Doug is amazing! When I called Doug, he told me I was kind of out of his area of service. After hearing my situation he made the time to come and fix the problem. Doug took the time to explain my options regarding the cost and warranty. We decided to go with the Tank-less option. Best decision I ever made. If you want honest answers and great work ethic The Hot water Heater Company is the one to call.

Doug was the ideal business associate. He was punctual, intelligent, efficient and extremely pleasant. He was careful, considerate and did a great job.

We left a message on Sunday afternoon and received a return call. within 6 hours. We then submitted two pictures and received a quote within 24. We took 1 more day to get two other quotes. All 3 quotes seemed to offer roughly the same level of equipment and warranty. Doug provide us the best price and was very responsive so we decide to select The Hot Water Heater Co. The decision was made by 10am 3 days after the water heater first leaked and it was replaced in the same day we made the decision. The gas pilot light on furnace went out as a result of shutting down the gas to replace the water heater. Doug came back that evening to relight the pilot for. We really appreciated the price the service and the speed.

The Hot Water Heater Company Inc. helped me, a self-described "know it all" handyman/contractor, determine that my mother's gas water heater was defective and needed replacement. The service was not only responsive, I was walked through my attempt at repairing the unit on my own. Once I had exhausted all of my best theories on the thing not working, I called Doug back and informed him of my defeat. I gave him the water heater model number and manufacturer, awaiting the "bad news" of my anticipated replacement cost. This is where I was hooked and became a lifetime customer; Doug informed me that the model we had has a well know defect, and that the unit could be replaced under the manufacturer’s warranty. He could have just replaced my unit as most contractors would. Instead he gave me multiple replacement options including tank-less and a few alternate gas model options, in a very cut and dry understandable manner providing me sufficient information to make a choice. My mother selected the option we felt best for the home and Doug ordered and installed the new unit immediately. I don't believe I've ever written a review of a contractor which I mention because I am a licensed contractor, though no longer active in the trades. I spent two decades working with both the good and the bad contractors, and The Hot Water Heater Company and Doug's service brought a much needed positive view of contractors and the true meaning of serving the client, a view that had been jaded by my past experience managing and performing remodels in the greater Sacramento and Bay Area metro areas. Doug was a great listener, very polite, personable and professional. He put together a solution which answered all our concerns. He shared his expertise; putting us at ease while he worked. Although our existing water heater was working, we called on a weekend and settled all the details. Installation was a short few days later and was completed same day. Excellent workmanship. We wouldn't hesitate to call this company for other projects. Highly recommend!

Called Doug at The Hot Water Heater Co on a whim after having a less satisfactory company respond to a home warranty claim on our nonfunctioning water heater. He was at our house within an hour to look at what we have, offer information on options, gave an estimate (and a second one when we realized our budget based on the claim with the home warranty), and had the unit in within days (our old one was working again so we were not in a rush). He was timely, professional and REAL. So grateful to have found Doug, and while we won't need a hot water heater anytime soon, I'm glad to know he is part of our community and will absolutely recommend him again.

We called the company and approximately 2 hours later Doug arrived at our home and determined we needed a new hot water heater. He offered to provide an estimate so we could shop around, but we opted for a replacement unit. Doug had a unit in his van and 2 hours later we were in business.

Fast. He was here in less then an hour after my call. It was replaced and up in running in less than 24 hours .
