+ -1 moreWith the exception of the winter 2015-2016, the driest year according to meterological records, there has been a leak (that has manifested itself) in my roof, every year, in the same place. Roof Crafters sends the same person every year to "see if they can find the problem", without success. Their is now significant staining on the ceiling of my porch, and, likely, the beginnings of rot in the ceiling, which they deny is there, and, at the same time, deny it is their problem. The only positive thing I can say, is that they are still coming out 3 years after their 5 year warrenty was up, which is good, except that they have NEVER provided a roof that does not leak and damage my home.
Description of Work: I contracted with JD Jones Roof Crafter for a new roof, in the spring of 2010.

Description of Work: They did an emergency repair on my wooden shingle roof.

The roof looks great - many neighbors have commented on how nice the roof looks. We received a detailed estimate. Jeanie was a pleasure to work with, she kept us informed and answered our questions. When the job was ready to start, the workers showed up on time and cleaned up when they finished for the day. The roof and gutters were completed in 4 days--start to finish. Any issues or concerns were fixed promptly. We are very happy and satisfied with the work they did and would definitely hire them again. Wonderful job!
Description of Work: Tore off old roof, repaired dry rot, installed new roof with Duration premium cool shingles and new deeper gutters.

+ -1 moreSetting up the appointment was honestly like pulling teeth. I couldn't get a callback for a few days and even had to follow up myself 2-3 times. That being said, when the actual roofer came out to examine my roof, he was great. He was punctual, professional, and extremely thorough. I was given an estimate right away and was able to have him perform the work 3 business days later. He showed up 7am (on the dot) and was gone by 1030am. The work looks great and I couldn't be happier. Despite the initial problems with the phone people, I would go with them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Removed 1 vent. Added 3 other vents. Replaced broken tiles, replaced code cap, and realigned sliding tiles.

Description of Work: Took off old shingles and put on new shingles on a low pitch (4/12 pitch) roof. Put in low profile vents on two attics and the garage with a roof vent on the vaulted ceiling. All dry rot issues handled by me. Only big issue was that I had a roof over a roof. If you will a dead air space. When they cut a hole in the upper roof for the static vent it was I who noticed a roof underneath and that the proposed vent would only vent a small enclosed area. My solution was to have them cut large holes in the lower roof. I felt they would not have noticed if I had not called it to their attention.

+ -1 moreJeanne was our initial contact after being referred by a friend. She was gracious, professional and patiently answered our seemingly endless questions. The entire crew, from Dave on, were professional, prompt, and easy to work with. They cleaned up behind themselves everyday and when the job was completed there was not a single reminder of the debris that comes with re-roofing. The completed roof and gutters look fantastic. They knew time was against us with storms fast approaching so they worked tirelessly to finish before the rains began. Timing was perfect...30 minutes after completion the rains came. The experience from beginning to end was better than we imagined.
Description of Work: We had the roof and gutters replaced on our 24 year old home.

+ -1 moreJeanne, Dave and the Roof Crafters crew that put on the roof were great. Always professional, arrived on time, worked quickly and completed a quality job. The tear off crew barked at my dog and the gutter crew caused some damage to my gate (and then left it for the roof crew to fix, which they did). Overall job was done to my satisfaction and I believe difficulties were addressed by Dave, Jeanne and crew.
Description of Work: I was looking to have my roof and gutters replaced on a home I bought only a few months prior and wanted it done before winter and at the best price. I needed a composite roof with lifetime warranty and all new gutter system with covers good for pine needles. Roof Craft's Dave came out and did what was my 7th of 8 different estimates. His wife Jeanne was fabulous in arranging the appt as I can often be hard to reach. He arrived on time and with samples. Took the time to answer my questions. There was no pressure, just honesty and even gave me some tips should I decide to go with a different company. When I decided to have a slight construction piece added to the job he came back personally to discuss it. I was surprised when the estimate came back well below 6 other estimates and even slightly below the one other I was considering. Once we agreed the job was scheduled within 2 weeks and done in less than 3 days. There was some unprofessional behavior by the contracted crews for tear off and gutters, but Roof Crafters people were quick and professional (with Dave even finishing the gutters himself when the gutter crew failed to have the right covers). I had a few questions a long the way and Jeanne was patient and answered them all to full satisfaction.
