The Blind & Shutter Pros

Description of Work: Warning! Do not use Blind and Shutter Pros as this is our story: We just completed remodeling our master bedroom & bath, and since my husband and I work full time and are always pressed for time, we looked on-line for shutters in the South Bay - then placed a few calls - and a rep named Mike Margott called immediately - to set up a time, to come to our home, measure, give us an estimate - and to sell us shutters. After seeing samples of his shutters, on Jan 29th, we wrote Mr. Margott a check for $950 - which represented half of the cost of shutters for these new rooms. Mr. Margott said to expect them "in 5 to 6 weeks, tops!" After six weeks, we had no word from Shutter Pros - so we called them, and found it strange that on several occasions during business hours there was only an answering machine - no person answered the phone, we left messages, but no person returned our call. After about our fifth call - a person answered, took our information, told us he would get back to us, but never did. We called again, and again another person answered, at this point we indicated we were not pleased, we threatened to cancel our order, and were told shutters would be in April 14th. Of course, that day came and went, no word from Shutter Pros, when we called on April 16th, we were told the shutters would be in the end of April. At that point we indicated we were angry to have had to use our time, money and energy making these calls, by this time we were tracking their statements, the later amounting to nothing more than a run around. Last week we sent them a certified letter (return receipt requested) indicating we wanted our money returned and gave them a date by which to respond - they refused to accept the letter and therefore, it was returned unopened. As busy as my husband and I are, we are moving forward - filing a grievance in small claims court, filing a claim to Ca Attorney General Office - and - informing you.
