Our Sub Zero would not cool below 44 degrees on the refrigerator side of the unit, I called Conejo Valley Appliance because I was satisfied with an AC repair done last year by a sister company, Conejo Valley Heating & AC. Jim, the owner of Conejo Valley Appliance, zeroed in on the problem right away and informed me that the evaporator core was leaking and needed to be replaced with a new improved model. The $250 was covered under the Sub Zero 12 year warranty. Jim ordered the part and expertly replaced it the next weekend. I recommend Jim to anyone needing appliance repair.

Whole process took about 20 minutes.

This is the kind of service that a customer wishes they could receive all of the time! Conejo Appliance was extremely efficient. I called yesterday and Jim arrived this morning. The light switch was replaced within 30 minutes and Jim offered to clean a filter( free of charge). Very, very nice service from Conejo Appliance. I have used them before and will in the future. great service, from first phone call to completion of the repair

A very pleasant experience overall. Made an appointment over the phone with a friendly lady and Jim showed up on time. Went to work right away and fixed to fridge ice maker. After he detected the problems with the double drawer Fisher/Paykel dishwasher he suggested that it was not worth to repair anymore. At the same time Jim was at our house fixing the appliance there was another handyman trying to change my kitchen sink. He couldn't get the sink loose so Jim told him he could stay 10 minutes longer to try and help my handyman with the kitchen sink. Together they managed to get the sink out! He didn't need to do this off course but I was impressed with his attitude to offer his help. In the future this company will always be on number 1 for us.

The GE refrigerator was not cooling properly for about three months, and I thought it might be the compressor. I checked the Angie's List, and decided upon using Conejo Appliance. Dan Leonard, one of the owners, came on-time, was professional, and when I asked if he needed help pulling out the appliance, he said, "I don't think that will be necessary yet." He opened the the freezer first, and realized that it was at temperature, then he looked into the refrigerator, checked where the air comes into the box, and then looked at the temp setting, and realized that it was not set properly. In fact, the freezer setting was too high, which blocked out the air to the refrigerator. It took him all of 10 seconds to reset it properly, and 30 seconds to instruct me as to why it was improper. Of course he did so diplomatically. Next time, I'll read the instructions! He was very honest, and I would definitely use them again. MM

Dan advised that this Maytag model is one that has been recalled for an internal wiring problem. He said to contact the company and they will replace the entire door at no charge. He charged $49 for the service call and left. Checking the recall page on Maytag's Website, we discovered that our model and serial number do not qualify for replacement of the door, so we called Conejo Valley Appliance (formerly known as) to schedule installation of the door kit. Dan called back to recommend against that, telling us that the job would run $350-$400, not worth spending on a unit that old. He recommends applying that money on purchase of a replacement dishwasher (he recommends Bosch). Dan was not obligated to tell us about the recall or give advice about the cost of repairs. He could easily have convinced us to spend the money with his company to install the door kit. Instead, he demonstrated his company's commitment to honest customer service by advising us a recommended course of action. We will continue to use this company for all future appliance repair requirements.

This company was very honest with me when they told me that some of my appliances were not clearly working for me anymore. They were very communicative with everything. They went the whole nine yards with their work performed.

They came out when they said they would come out. Terrific job. Promptly done and a reasonable price.

They came out and of course the dryer would not make the noise. They replaced a gasket however the noise came back the next day. They came back again and replaced another part and only charged for the part; which I thought was very fair. They were on time, neat, and clean.

I called for the repair on a holiday, the message had an emergency number but since it wasn't an emergency I just left a message. The company called back at 7am the very next day. They had the repairperson there by 2pm that day. I was impressed. The repairperson was on time (actually a few minutes early), polite and friendly. He got right to work and quickly found the problem. He had the part in his truck and replaced it. He explained to me that he had a vast inventory of parts in his truck. He also replaced the venting explaining if it clogs it could overheat and I could have the same problem again. He advised me on how to avoid this on my specific dryer. The repairperson was excellent and he completed the work and was gone in all of 25 minutes. I thought the total repair cost was very reasonable. I would use this company again without hesitation and would recommend them to my friends. I was impressed by their customer service, professionalism and effective repair work.

THIS REPAIR COMPANY HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE MOST RELIABLE I HAVE USED FOR LARGE AND SMALL APPLIANCES. IN THIS CASE, I KNEW A PIECE WAS MISSING, BUT THEY HAD THE PROPER ONES TO FIX IT.

QUICK, EFFICIENT AND LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERS! THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND MADE THE ASSESSMENT QUICKLY. DISPOSAL WAS REPLACED IN LESS THAN AN HOUR.

THEY WERE FAST AND EFFICIENT. IT HELPED US SAVE MONEY FOR THEM TO TELL US HOW TO MAKE THE REPAIR OURSELVES. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED AND WE WILL USE THEM AGAIN.

THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY. THEY WERE HONEST ABOUT THE PROBLEM BEING VERY MINOR AND WERE FAIR IN THE WAY THEY CHARGED US. THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US THAT IT WAS SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS BUT THEY DIDN'T.
