I had problem getting door on heater closed and it would not come on Called Aladdin and the helpful person on the phone recommended their special maintenance visit. Kyle arrived on time and went right to work checking and cleaning the unit, offering suggestions, and showing me how to get the door closed more easily. The unit is old but I was not pressured to replace it. I was given information on what to expect. I will contact Aladdin for any additional service I need in the future and when the time comes to replace the unit. .

Came right on time and spent about one hour checking and cleaning the dusty unit. Answered my questions. Will use again on one of our other properties in the near future.

Very professional company all the way from scheduling through performing service. Coordinated appointment time with my tenant and kept me informed during the process. I will definitely use them for future HVAC needs on my rental property,

I did not have work done by this company. But I did follow the advice and got a handyman who was willing to work with us on configuring a trapdoor type grill from the existing one that fell off. So far, so good.

Very professional! Arrived on time, performed work as agreed. Our tech, Jesse, was very nice and walked us through from start to finish.

www.AladdinAC.com (805) 480-0327 When the Gas Company came to restore gas after our house was fumigated they found a crack in furnace, turned off the unit and red-tagged it. It had to be repaired. I called Aladdin, spoke with Robert, explained the problem. He scheduled a diagnosis appointment with Jesse, the service tech for the next morning. Jesse arrived promptly and evaluated the furnace, thermostat and the ducts in the attic. He said the furnace could be repaired, but the repair cost would be more than half the cost of a replacement furnace and only carried a 90 day warranty. Jesse recommended we replace the furnace with a more energy efficient model, since it had a crack, was more than 20 years old and needs many repairs and parts which are hard to find for this model. We decided to replace the furnace. Jesse called the office and setup an appointment with the comfort advisor, Tom, who arrived early that same afternoon to provide a replacement estimate and review our options. Tom honored the Angie's List coupon and applied it and the service call to the estimate. He said Aladdin could probably install a new furnace the next day but he would have to check the schedule. Later that afternoon Tom called to confirm installation. The next day Kyle and Miguel installed a new Carrier furnace and thermostat. Kyle made sure everything was working properly, explained operations and did cleanup. We are pleased with the new unit and service and the company has followed-up. This was an unexpected problem in the middle of house remodeling project, and Aladdin came through for me. My experience from the first call to installation to follow-up has been nothing but positive and I would highly recommend this company. Aladdin's service is first-rate and it was a pleasure to deal with everyone I had contact with (Robert, Jesse, Tom, Kyle and Jen). The company was prompt to respond to my needs and provided the profession service, installation and assurance for my family's peace of mind. I trust I will continue to enjoy the same level of service.

I was out of town when my house sitter called and said the AC had stopped working. This during a heat wave so it was pretty miserable. I called Aladdin and they said they'd be out the next day. Jesse went to the house and showed my house sitter that the system had frozen up...with actual ice! He said to keep it off and he'd come back the next day and see what the problem was. He came back after the defrost and got the system working again but cautioned me that since my system was 35 years old it probably wouldn't work very well and could fail at any time. (He only charged for one visit) He said to call when I got back to town and he'd discuss options with me. I called and Jesse came over and we discussed what would happen if I didn't get a new system. Apparently the fact that my ancient system worked at all was a bit of a miracle. I then decided to get a new system before the present one blew. Also it was106 degrees and it wasn't cooling off any time soon! He said he'd be over at 7:30am and he and Richard and Jose and the other Jose arrived on time and got to work. Jess said they'd probably be done by 1:30pm but they finished by 12:15pm without a trace of their having been there except that by 2:30pm my house was cooler than it had been all summer! They were efficient, professional and Jesse gave me a break on the price. All in all a very positive experience. I would definitely use Aladdin again!

Justin actually arrived a little earlier than scheduled and was neat and very polite. He wore "booties" over his shoes and went right to work by explaining what he was going to do. I showed him the equipment and he set to work. After he was done he explained to me what he did and did recommend a single repair/upgrade which was actually a code violation and once he received the go ahead to do this work he completed it in short time and had me inspect it. Everything about this service was above par with others that I have had do this in the past. I will continue to have Aladdin (hopefully Justin) do my twice yearly service going forward.

I called Aladdin and requested an estimate and evaluation on my current A/C systems and suggestions on how to improve what I already have. I was expecting some recommendations on possible new equipment, ducting, etc and the price they would charge. I have a single story house with 2 A/C systems approximately 15 years old. Their website indicates they would provide a free estimate. When I spoke with the company they said the charge would be $79 per system for this estimate. This is in contradiction with what the company indicates on their listing. I believe Angies List should contact this company about what I consider to be "false advertising" UPDATE: After writing the initial review, I was contacted by the owner of Aladdin Air Conditioning and Heating, Wayne Beck. He wanted further details on why I had given his company an "F" review. I explained the situation and he did apologize indicating the person I spoke with must have misunderstood my request. He also asked for an opportunity to provide the free estimate. I told him that I needed several days to think about the work and that I was having several other companies that I found on Angies list provide estimates. Approximately 4 days later, Mr. Beck contacted me again and asked for the opportunity to earn my business. This felt sincere and straight forward (we all make mistakes), and set up an appointment time. His representative, Jesse, showed up on time for the appointment and spent several hours at my house evaluating options. Of the three estimates received, it was apparent that Aladdin had the best option in order to fix my problem. I decided to use their company after carefully considering what others were offering. The job was completed by Aladdin in one day later that week. I must say that I am completely satisfied with the work. Their technicians did an excellent job providing exactly the results that were promised. Thank you Aladdin, and Mr. Beck for having the persistence and understanding that a negative can certainly be changed with acceptance of responsibility and delivery of a quality product/service.

It was a wonderful experience. I have had so many bad past experiences that I was a little leary to make the appointment for the tune up. I would give Wayne, Souren, Robert and the rest of the Aladdin staff A+++ it it were possible. They are truly exceptional individuals.

Everyone was very nice and professional. My husband balked at the idea of having to replace the whole system and thought it was very expensive. So we called a couple of places and they were much less to replace the whole unit. Found someone else to come out and he said that eventually we probably would have to replace the unit because it is old, but it was still working now. He did need to flush a line. Whatever line it was, was what was causing the coils to seem like they were leaking. Much, much, much less expensive and it works fine!

Justin was very professional and did an excellent job servicing our unit. He gave me all the options and did not try to sell or push to have other services done. Very knowledgable and explained everything. Even wore booties inside the house. I'm glad I decided to be an Aladdin Club member after seeing the type of service Aladdin provided. Thanks Justin and see you in January for our winter check!

Went well?no problems Austin was very thorough and considerate of my home. Wore booties over his shoes and cleaned up. He was also very pleasant and was happy to answer the few questions I had. I did go ahead and opt for the Aladdin's club deal which will also include a second visit in six months. Don't know if I really needed it but since the system in over 10 years old, I though it was worth it.

We were able to set up an appointment quickly. Brandon came out and performed the work in a courteous and professional manner. They informed us clearly of the problems and our options, and charged us fairly. I would definitely use this service again.

Brett was our technician. He was great. He thoroughly explained what the problem was and even took a picture to show me. He explained my options in detail. Definitely provided an excellent job.

I had originally made a appointment online with Aladdin last year but ended up canceling due to no response from them. Because of having no response from them I gave them a failing grade. Having forgotten I previously made and appointment with them, I made appointment for the $77 tune -up I found on their website. ( I went there because their service number sticker is on my AC. Not long after, I received a call from Souren, the service manager, who was concerned about the failing grade I gave them as they had no record of a previous appointment. I hadn?t realized I made an appointment with the same company. I explained the failing grade was due not having a response from them at which point he apologized and offered to include the tune-up for my heater in addition for the $77 price. I thought that was great gesture. The service tech Justin came out and checked my heater first and told me he found there was a failing capacitor and it need to be replaced. The cost would be $184 to replace it but, if I took the 2 visit deal for $139 it could be discounted to $71. Seemed like a pretty good deal to me even though I thought a 2 visit deal was overkill and the capacitor was way overpriced. Also replacing the capacitor was something I could not do myself. I thought everything was fine ,Justin was really pleasant and everything seemed ok until I got and reviewed my bill and it said $165 for the 2 visit deal. I emailed Souren and told him of the mistake and asked that they kindly correct it. I later received a call from Souren who wanted to ?explain? my bill to me. He said the the discount given to me for the part was for a ?club membership? and the membership cost was $165 hence the bill was correct. Well, I was not told of a ?club membership? did not want to join one and it was clearly stated to me the discount was being given with $139 two visit deal. At this point he proceeded to ?explain? to me about how the coupons work , how they make no money off the club deals, how the parts are marked up as they have overhead and labor to pay, how a favor had been done etc...I get and understand how businesses work, parts and labor etc. My point was and is that I was told the discount would come with the $139 price (and this was stated more then once.) He kept on it at one point on asking why I didn?t review the bill (it was on an tablet).I thought the figures were a bit off ( and the tech had mentioned taxes) and since they were going to email me a copy figured I review it then in more detail. He also stated I should review the membership paperwork left with me, which I did not get. He also stated apparently them offering me a deal didn?t ?mean much to me?. My whole point and disappointment is that what started off with a seemly ?nice? gesture turned into cluster that was way more trouble than it was worth. I know that good customer service is hard to find, but it?s ridiculous when I have to defend myself for believing what I was told. Souren at one point did offer the difference back, however, but with the off handed comment it was only $26. I work hard for my money and it does not go over well with me when someone implies I should not be concerned with whatever amount. I told him I would leave it (being tired of the entire conversation which was going nowhere.) But I had already determined I rather not have any more dealings with this company. This whole experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and at this point I am forfeiting the second visit which, if this is any indication is what the future holds I?d rather eat it than go through this experience again. What a hugh hassle! There are too many other businesses out there!

Really pleasant experience. Great customer service. Tom was always available by phone and was responsible and flexible about appointments. We also did the roof so Aladdin had to work with the roofer on the schedule and they got that done seamlessly. The job cost what they said it would and we felt we could trust them on their advice for our needs. Great job.

In May 2013 I began looking to replace two A/C & Heating systems, and used Angies List to find a list of providers that were "A" rated for complete system replacements (vs. predominately just repairs). After interviewing and getting cost quotes from about seven different providers I chose Aladdin. This was based on Rocky Rocco showing up on time for appointments, him being courteous, acting and looking professional, being persistent but willing to be cost competitive. Rocky was the only estimator that arrived by (Aladdin) company truck vs. personal car. That helped demonstrate the company's commitment to service in that they must be sufficiently funded. On the day of the install (July 2013) several shiny new Aladdin trucks (they all have a very large Genie caricature painted on them) with a crew of about 6 showed up. Rocky also came and instructed the crew on what had to be done and the guys completed the installation in one day well ahead of the two day timeline Rocky had promised. All members of the crew were very courteous and conscientious, and whenever they entered the house they put on shoe covers. They laid down drop cloths to keep the floors clean and prevent scratching. The only negative of the crew?s work was that they didn?t do a thorough and complete job of cleaning up. They staged all of the old equipment on my back yard patio and driveway, and after the crew had gone I found many metal screws and cut strap pieces lying around in the staging areas and on the roof near where the units were installed. Everything else was great. I did a fair amount of investigation of the different A/C products from the mainstay manufacturers and found the reviews to not be that great for any of them unfortunately. However, I decided that given the mediocre but relatively equal reviews of the A/C and heating equipment across all manufactures, that choosing a professional provider and obtaining a regular maintenance plan was the best tact. I feel that I was able to negotiate a fair and competitive price that included a 3 year service plan. In January 2014 without any action on my part I received a courtesy call from Aladdin reminding me that the 1 st of my 6 bi-annual maintenance service was due. This kind of service and attention to detail speaks to the high professionalism that must be communicated all the way down from the owner at the top. I highly recommend Aladdin A/C and Heating.

They were professional, knowledgable, and knocked everything out in two hours. We feel like we have a good sense of the work to do in the future, but weren't pressured to do so until the timing was right. The tune up was done as expected.

Planning how to install the system in our complicated house (due to multiple expansions over the decades) turned out to be full of unwelcome surprises. However, Tom did an amazing job adjusting and re-designing the best system for our needs. He was always available to discuss (and re-discuss) all our options. This old house only had a wall furnace and window units so all the duct work had to be installed brand new. Miguel and Jaime and his team of experts did an amazing job. Our system is up and running and we couldn't be happier.

After the asbestos was removed by a company that does only that, the install team came in and replaced the heater & a/c. All new installed ducts and 3 new returns.

They were terrific-removed old systems and installed new systems in one day. They started on time and had 4 guys on site all day--these guys were terrific---Cheno, Jaime, Jason and Kyle---the coordinator was over the top-Tom Stanley . Could not ask for more-took care of all permits and inspections. I would recommend Aladdin without hesitation. TRULY TERRIFIC.

My experience with Aladdin Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. was outstanding. I had an issue with an airconditioning system in the beginning, there was an existing. I came out and look at it. They could not repair it. Their recommendation was to replace it. Prior to that, I had my home warranty look at it and said they could not do anything for me because somebody had already messed with it before I even bought the house and incorrectly was not covered by the warranty but there were obviously issues with the system. The experience with Aladdin Air Conditioning & Heating’s salesman, with their service people and with all their employees doing the install, everything was excellent.

They did a very thorough job and followed up with everything that needed to be done. We felt that we were using a reliable and honest company compared to the air conditioning company that we had previously which we believe took advantage of us and sold us things we did not need.
