They don't show up, they don't call, they lie. This company should be prosecuted for fraud. Do not EVER EVER EVER use them. For some reason, Samsung uses them as a servicer, and they are going to get an earful from me about THAT.
Description of Work: NOTHING.

Avoid at all costs - This company borders on criminal! Service technician arrived to service refrigerator ice machine and in thirty seconds "diagnosed" problemm to be water flow to appliance. Technician said I would need to have plumber service water flow. Technician did not have invoice material, took my credit card number, and stated I would receive completed bill statement via US mail. My credit card was charged for a full hour service which they stated was minimum amount. Evidently this requirement was on the invoice I never received. I followed technician directions and had a professional plumber check water flow. The plumber laughed and stated that water flow was totally fine. I then had to have a different appliance repair company come to diagnose and fix the refrigerator. There was a water pump that had ceased functioning. I called Mastertech for a refund and they refused.

This company sent by our home service insurer on Oct. 23, 2008. Technician said he knew what the problem was without inspecting anything but would have to order the switches. 2 weeks later we began calling but person in charge of our case never in and diidn't return calls. Finally they came out and changed switches, one burner (the non-adjustable one) worked but the adjustable wouldn't adjust to the large size. Tech said must be the switch and would order another. More non-returned calls, finally caught Elvia in office a week before Thanksgiving who informed us part ordered but Kitchenaide not shipping parts until after holidays. My own call to Kitchenaide rep told me they could get part to us in 2 days. Tech comes mid-December and new switch did not fix problem, decided it was the burner, have to order. Mid-January tech shows up, wrong size burner, have to re-order. January 24 they call to say the 26th they'll be out. Morning of 26th they call to say it's the wrong burner and they are washing their hands of this job, giving up, and will call insurance to tell them. Monday (Feb 2) we called insurance and they haven't been notified, they cannot assign another company because Mastertech has 6 months to complete a job unless Mastertech notifies them and they haven't got around to it. So, Mastertech's job is essentially "done" but not completed. Insurance we won't renew but that is another story. Mastertech has poor customer relations, an attitude problem and an inability to admit not knowing how to fix a problem, preferring to lay all blame with supplier. They don't return calls and the person you need is seldom "in" when you call. Tech even tried to blame us for having him order wrong part when all we ever did was open the door for him and listen to his "explanations". We only had to pay them our deductible but 3 months to come up with unsatisfactory result?
Description of Work: One stove burner not working, one not changing size intermittently.(4 year old stove) Originally diagnosed as the switches which fixed one burner but not the adjustable burner which would now not go to the larger size at all. Then diagnosed as the burner but company never came up with correct one.

We have a Gaggneu oven with an extended warranty through a home improvement store. When it needed service, we were referred to MasterTech. They completely mis-diagnosed the problem since I pointed out what was going on with it. He told me that his instruments tell him what the problems are, so I let him go. Later I got a phone call telling me that the part was not under warranty and it would cost an additional $100. I contacted another person who finally was able to help me; it was the part I thought it was and it's great there.
Description of Work: He came in and looked it over. He used his diagnostic tools and told me I needed to replace the thermostat--yet that wasn't what was going on with my oven. I tried to explain this but he was very rude to me.

When I called them they were polite and were able to get me an appointment the next day. He was able to get the make and model of my stove on the phone and he had a new part with him when he arrived. The man that came out was polite and knowledgeable.
Description of Work: The clock on my stove top went out and they were able to replace it.

I feel completely ripped off by this company. Office staff does not respond to calls. I paid for a service call & all I got was broken glass, microwave not repaired adequately, & a promise to replace the switch which I am now told is not being made anymore.
Description of Work: Technician came out to fix microwave oven. Started to remove it & said he couldn't do it as it's a two man job. Meanwhile he broke the glass over the oven controls. Found the oven switch to be defective. Said he would get us new glass replacement & switch (which he said was in stock). This was Dec 7th, 05 & many calls to them are not returned. When we do speak with someone they say they are working on it.
