RASMUSEN PAINTING

We would normally not leave town and have our house painted but they assured us that they could do the job when we weren't home; they would finish doors when we returned. When we drove up to the house after a week away, we were amazed at the wonderful paint job and how good the house looked. They came back promptly and finished the front and side doors. Then the company owner came by and looked over the whole exterior; he called back his foreman and had him do some minor touch-up that we hadn't even noticed. During the painting process, they protected our plants and surfaces around the house, too. A fabulous job!

It did not go well. They sent inexperienced workers to do the job. Caulk was left on the driveway, barely one coat of paint was used when 2 were required, shrubbery was covered in paint, and some shrubbery was even stuck to the house with paint. The office was not very responsive to my phone calls.

Looked great for six months, when no one used the deck between October and April. Then it started chipping and peeling. After a year and more chipping, I asked them to come out and look at the deck. They never showed up. I called again and finally wrote a letter detailing the problems. They never responded to my complaints or letter. I later discovered the finish they used on my deck had a six-month warranty. I would never have gone ahead with the job, if I knew that fact. I will never use them again.

The painters started very early; six thirty to seven on average every day of the job. They played music until we requested it cease, which it did. The area was cleaned up before they left every day and they were professional and polite during the job.
