Larson Brothers painted the exterior of our house in Larkspur. We got several bids and went with them based on great reviews on both Yelp and Angie's List. We are very happy we did. The crew did a great job and the house looks great; they were clean, neat and professional. The company is highly ethical. We highly recommend Larson Brothers.

Approximately one year ago we hired Larson Brothers to paint the entire interior of our home. They did a fantastic job and I was delighted to post a positive review on Angie's List. We recently decided to paint the exterior of our home and it was an easy choice to select Larson Brothers again. It was quite a large project and as expected the quality of their work, attention to detail, and professionalism was fantastic. Throughout every step of the project the crew communicated with us to ensure we were happy and the results met our expectations. The pride they take in their work product and customer satisfaction is wonderful. I don't normally take the time to write any on-line reviews, but this is the second one for Larson I have done over the past year. If you have any painting needs you can't go wrong with Larson Brothers.

The experience with Larson Brothers Painting begins with professionalism from the start. Sam Larson, the other brother in Larson Brothers, came out to my house to look at the project. He was right on time and even called when he was about 15 minutes from the house to let me know he was close (it really is the small things that matter sometimes). Sam was friendly, easy to talk to, understood the scope of the project quickly, and provided advice as to how the project would go. All the measurements for the project were captured on a tablet, which was nice. He was able to turn around an estimate within 24 hours that was emailed to me on their electronic form. The estimate clearly outlined the scope of the project and cost. We exchanged a couple of emails regarding options and Sam was responsive within hours of all emails. We agreed on the contract and set a date for the project. About a week later, I got a call from John Oniell, one of the Larson Brothers project managers. He explained that he would oversee my project and be with me every step of the way. He was great to work with- highly enthusiastic, detail oriented, helpful, respectful, and obviously a talented painter. We set a start date and he let me know what to expect that first day. The first day would be his walk through of the project, color selection, and he said he would start to do prep work on the cabinets and start masking/taping, which he did. The next day, the crew arrived and the crews were great. They cared for our house like it was their own making sure not to spill paint or damage anything in their way. The set up a little work space in my garage and laid down and taped paper tarps where they would be taking breaks, mixing paints, and storing their gear. Even in the garage they made sure not to drip any paint and they always cleaned up after themselves daily at the end of the day, bagging and taking their own trash. The painting itself went smoothly. I had them upgrade the paint choice to my own preference at Kelly Moore 1500 series paints for the interior walls and durapoxy for the cabinets for a nominal difference (about $80-100 total). They were more than happy to accommodate that change because it was before they picked up or selected any paints. The whole house was rolled and brushed as opposed to spray, which was much easier on us and for our belongings. I wanted all of the walls rolled anyways, so that worked out for us. Some companies prefer to spray, which we didn't want. The guys worked well as a team and were receptive to any touch ups that I had marked, which weren't too many. For the whole house we may have had about 40 specks of white that showed through on the texture after drying- which was great for the size of project. Any trim that had a drip or needed touching up was done seamlessly. The Cabinets turned out great. These are particularly challenging to do because of placement and the general complexity of cabinets. John removed all of the doors and drawers, marked/labeled each piece, and took the doors and drawer faces back to the shop to the paint booth. The bases and wall units were done in place: sanded down, filled, primed, sprayed, and then sprayed again and the edges of the inside of the cabinets were then rolled to finish. They took special care to wrap and cover the entire kitchen to minimize the dust, fumes, and paint from the rest of the house and they did a great job. When the doors came back from the paint booth they looked and felt great. All of the seams were carefully filled with caulking and the paint finish was perfect. It is a little scary during the process to see your kitchen torn up, but I would highly recommend people to take this route as opposed to buying new cabinets, especially under John's skillful handiwork. All in all, Larson Bros Painting was a pleasure to work with. From the professionalism from start to finish, the helpfulness of everyone on the project, and the special care they take on a job, I sincerely appreciate it. If and when I have more painting needs, I will be contacting them again and have already recommended them to all of my neighbors.

Excellent service from start to finish. Sam provided the estimate and discussed options, prices were competitive, and the contract was easy and clear. Regarding customer service, painters were timely, conscientious, and respectful (lead painter Angelo was great), and Alan (superintendent) was very thorough and inspired confidence that the project would be completed to our satisfaction. It was - beautiful job on everything completed and in a very reasonable amount of time. We will definitely recommend Larson Bros to others and will call again with our project needs.

It has been almost 10 years since we moved into our house and it was time to have the entire interior painted. We also wanted to install crown molding in a few rooms and contacted several companies for bids. Sam Larson came out and was very pleasant and professional. He submitted his bid via email and I had a couple of follow up questions and he responded quickly and thoroughly. Larson Brothers’ bid was very competitive, and we were also impressed by the positive reviews on Yelp and other sites. I let Sam know that we were going to go with his company for our job and he set up an onsite visit for him, Allen the project manager, and Mario the carpenter who would be installing the crown molding. They were very professional and thorough in their walkaround. A couple of days later we were contacted by the leader of the painting crew, Enrique, who came and did his own walkaround. We really felt at this point that this company was taking our project seriously. Mario and his assistant Anibal arrived promptly at 8 am on the date arranged and went immediately to work installing the crown molding. A couple of days later Enrique and Geneva arrived to start painting. Although we had carpenters and a painting crew simultaneously, they did a great job at working in the same house at the same time. Mario and Anibal did fantastic work—not only does the crown molding look terrific, but Mario also built an access door to plumbing in the master bathroom, which had been a gaping hole before. It looks great. Enrique and Geneva did a similarly terrific job on the painting. They showed up like clockwork every morning and got down to business right away. Although they worked efficiently, they did not sacrifice quality. And they were extremely pleasant. Enrique would confirm at regular points that we were satisfied with the work and that it was being handled the way we expected. As the project was drawing to a close I told Enrique that we were going to be sorry to see he and Geneva go. They had become a familiar and friendly presence in our home. Every few days the project manager Allen would come by to make sure that everything was going well. He clearly wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with the progress of our painting project (which we definitely were.) When the work was finished and it came time to write the check, everything was very straightforward and totally consistent with the estimate. No surprise charges or last minute additions. Very refreshing. We would definitely use Larson Brothers again. It was a great experience from start to finish.

They did a really great job. They were very professional, and the house now looks wonderful. Any small concerns I had as the job was ongoing were addressed immediately and completely. (For example, an area near the roof that needed a bit of extra work.) I especially appreciated that no one was smoking or playing loud music while they were working, which made the experience much easier for me. I was told from the very beginning of the process that the company is focused on excellent customer service. I found that to be absolutely true, and would recommend their work without hesitation.

** Changed rating since our project manager (Allen ?) fixed all of our issues , this guy deserves a raise, he is there for your company and proved to be professional and honored what he said. This is mostly the same review I left on yelp, I don't think I have ever given a bad review, but I do not want anyone else living through what I did/am. When Sam Larson came out, he did a great job of asking and answering questions. His bid was great and I thought I had found a great company to work with. That all changed when the 2 man paint crew showed up. The first clue that something was wrong was that the started to claim I okayed them painting all the door hinges. Which the did even though I said no and contacted Sam via phone about it. They also were painting around anything that would take work to remove. In addition to painting around things they just painted over anything else in the way. Upstairs closet and doors were left original color, how can you miss that ! So what happens when I change door nobs or get a new smoke detector ? There would be a unpainted surface to deal with. Then to add insult to injury after I asked to have all the blinds removed to paint under them (instead of around), they did that but never put them back up and we lost the all the hardware for it. i still have no window coverings in my house. On a good note, Allen kept coming back and fixed things I found. However to this day (2 months later) I am still finding un-painted places. So all in all this was (and still is) a horror show. Seem incredible even to me and I lived it but they also painted rooms the wrong color (Allen fixed it). I would look else where and be very careful, they just left today claiming I told them the house would be empty so they were not responsible, I did say it would be empty of humans and furniture, but didn't realize I was suppose to remove every thing in the house even if it was nailed/screwed down. Come on guys, this was a totally unprofessional job and you know it. I did find out my crew got fired, so was a test case for some crew you found on the street. It is not fair what you did and you should have made it right without me having to find every little thing and call you up bout it. I do thank you for not totally abandoning me and fixing the issue I ask asked about (except missing blinds hardware). The blinds should have been replaced before you left and I am still dealing with them.

Sam Larson came to give me a quote. He was very professional and punctual. One of the first things I told him when he arrived was that I wanted to protect myself and mother Earth by having only environmentally safe products used. Through email I was put in touch with Andy who would be the operations manager. I sent many emails to him and he responded quickly and again I reiterated the importance of having environmentally safe products and getting the project done as soon as possible because I had to reopen my studio. He was very professional and punctual and his responses to me. A man named John came to do a walk-through on the Friday before they were supposed to paint. He asked me many questions that I had already gone over with both Sam and with Andy. I found that strange. The day of the painting came into very wonderful young gentleman showed up. Their names were Angelo and Andy. They did a very wonderful and professional job over the next two days. The night that they finish the painting a friend of mine came over and looked at the cans which had the remaining paint in them. She said John, " I do not think that those are environmentally safe no VOC paints. " I called Andy right away and asked him if that was the case and he did say that they did painted with the wrong paints. Needless to say I was very upset by this discovery. Angelo and Andy were very surprised by this and had no idea that I had ordered no VOC paints. Andy offered to repaint the whole studio with no VOC paints but there was no point in that because the paint had already released the toxic chemicals and had already dried. He offered to compensate me financially for the problem. He asked me how much I would like to have taken off of the total. We did work out a discount for me. Andy was very apologetic.

He was excellent. He opted not to use him but he was very professional. It's a very large scope of work. He was very professional. He's very well-spoken and articulate in what he believed needed to be done. He also has an expertise in the engineering background. I felt that what he said was truly believable and trustworthy. The scope of work was so large and there were a couple of items on there that he didn't do. We're really trying to find somebody who encompasses everything. He's very good.

Our experience with Larson Bros. was excellent. Sam Larson gave us a comprehensive estimate and explained all the work that was to be performed. Before the start of the job, Sam sent us a welcoming letter introducing his team and an outline & timing of the work to be performed. We felt very at ease throughout the project because we knew exactly what to expect. Marco & Francisco, the paint crew, were very professional and I marveled at their attention to detail and the pride they took in their work. The quality of the materials was top notch and they are very careful to protect our landscaping. I would definitely recommend Larson Bros painting. They are customer focused.

They are professional. They were very responsive and kept everyone in the loop who needed to know certain things, their crew and me. There was no communication gap. I would definitely use them again.

Exterior paint of single family home. Great service from the Larson Brothers Painting team from estimator Jesse to project superintendent Andy to job site foreman Edgar. Very responsive throughout the process. Returned calls and emails in a timely fashion. Project estimate was very thorough and contained all details on the work to be performed so there were no surprises. Edgar was the project foreman and he was very professional. Painting our house took 5 full days due to extensive prep work before painting. Each day Edgar checked in throughout the day and left the area around our house clean and orderly. Completed on time and within budget and much to our satisfaction. Will use Larson Brothers Painting again in the future if need painting work inside or outside.

Our experience with Larson Brothers Painting was excellent. Starting with the attention to detail for the initial estimates, Larson Brothers Painting was very professional and provided a comprehensive estimate that addressed all of our issues (and some that we did not consider). They were very accomodating when selecting our paint choices, including some last minute changes. The crew that come out to do the work was very professional and took extreme caution to tape, cover, and prep the work area prior to beginning work. The crew that performed the work was very polite and professional and their number one goal was to ensure we were satisfied. The quality of the paint job was excellent and as advertised. Despite a large job we had a short time window to complete the work and the crew stayed late multiple evening to ensure our timeline was met. We will definately use Larson Brothers Painting again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a quality and trusted company in the Napa area.

I want to start off by saying my husband and I had an exceptional experience with Larson Bros painting. We thought we were in love with two colors and asked if we could see them up. They did a test of the colors we picked and we did not like it. Jesse Larson then suggested two colors that he said would look amazing on our home. They painted it and it turned out beautiful. We live on a busy street and people complement the colors and how great the house looks all the time.

From Day One the entire team at Larson Brothers Painting has been great to work with. This comes from someone who expects nothing but stellar service, and is willing to pay for it. Sam Larson explained in detail each item on the detailed (and very competitively priced) quote; he worked with my wife and I to choose the best trim color for the exterior. When we encountered some problems with the quality of the paint I alone had chosen for the dining room, they did what had to be done to fix it at no further cost to me, despite the significant additional demands on their time. Alex and Luis did a great job with the exterior. Jesse's performance as the superintendent couldn't have been better. He promptly got back to me whether the issue was "large" or "small", and continued to do so long after the job was theoretically done to touch up one thing or another. Simply stated, these are really nice people who do quality work that is very reasonably priced. For sure I will use them again.

I ended up being very unhappy I had contracted Larson Brothers. I will never do it again. The brothers put on a good show to get you on board - don't do it.

We did not use them and they were charming. We would go to them next time. They were very nice, came out and gave an estimate and were quick in the quote. They were reasonable. It was just that we had two options that we were thinking off and one man happened to call. Since he called we went with him but Larson Bros Painting was very nice. We would recommend them to anyone. They were very personable, seemed knowledgeable and also their quote was right in line with everybody else and that’s always a good thing in a long run. We just thought that they were very nice, very knowledgeable, knew about their product, knew the neighborhood and were close. They were very punctual and seemed to be very professional.

The painters were very detail oriented. It was a very high quality job and we are very happy with it.
