Excellent job, very friendly, they completed the job in the time frame they had estimated, and they cleaned up very well after themselves. Very professional.

Not too happy with these guys. I picked them because of their ratings on Angie's list. Their price was higher than the other quotes I received but they seemed to be more on the ball. Before they began I crawled under the trailer and found the leak was not from the P-trap but rather from the valve. I asked them not to replace the P-trap. I also requested white linoleum similar to what was already in the laundry room. At first they brought out a brown linoleum which I rejected. Later they installed another brown linoleum. There were bubbles in the floor and gaps along the edges where the installer incorrectly cut the linoleum. When I received the bill there was no credit for the P-trap. I was upset over the brown linoleum installed. When I called about the P-trap I received a $55 credit which I thought should have been more. I asked for more and was met with resistance. West Coast finally agreed to reduce the cost to $3,000 but removed their warranty from their work which is fine with me, I won't be calling them again. 08/06/13 Bobbie, the owner of the company has since called me and wants to stand behind his work. At this time he has offered to replace the lineoleum in the laundry room with a white one, or as close to white as possible, and to repair other areas of the flooring that were included in his quote but were not done correctly. 09/06/13 All work has now been complete. The linoleum was replaced with white linoluem as requested. The intaller was a top notch installer who obviously has been doing flooring for years. I am happy with the final product. I stand behind the overall C rating becuase as bad as the first linoleum looked the project manager should have insisted the job be done correctly and done right the first time.
Description of Work: I received their Quote of $4,200 for the work to be done which included repairing a leak coming from the P-trap under the tub. Replacing 40 square feet of flooring, replacing the skirting around the perimeter. Replacing the linoleum in the laundry room. After negotiating out the skirting we settled on $3,480 as the price for the remaining work.

We are more than delighted to stand by our work. We apologize it was not done correctly the first time, and that there were communication breakdowns between the people involved on your side and ours. But as always, we are here to make customers happy with their homes and we want nothing more than to satisfy our customers to the best of our ability.

I checked the reviews on Angie's List before I selected West Coast Mobile Home Improvement to do the work needed on my home. From the very first contact I felt that this company really cared about me and the work that they would do for me. The workers were on time, they were polite, efficient and knowledgeable about the work they were performing. The co-owner of the company who game me the original estimate followed up with me by phone while the work was being done. He came out for a visual inspection on 7/15/2013 and arranged for the follow up work to be completed on 7/17/2013. I am very satisfied with all the work that has been completed to date. I would not hesitate to use WCMHI again and I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Replace supports & releveling, repair & repaint outside trim, replace rain gutter, install new toilets & faucets, install new flooring in laundry room, kitchen & both bathrooms.

It went great. The price was very good which was important because my parents didn't have a lot of money to do this. My parents talked to the owner of the company who was very nice and willing to help with whatever they needed. The repair person was also very nice and did a great job. My parents were very satisfied and would recommend this company to others.
Description of Work: My parents own a mobile home and needed the pillars underneath repaired and adjusted.

I really like them. They are very responsive. They are very thoughtful. When I told him that it was a difficult thing for me to make a decision about because I was single and I didn't have a man in the house to help me consider these possibilities for fixing the problem and I told him that maybe I could have my friend come over and help me with it and he said to see if my friend can come over and he’ll come back and go over it again. They do good work. They did a lot of work for the family across the street from me and they did a nice job. The limited experiences I had with them have been very pleasant and very promising in terms of what kind of work they would do.
Description of Work: West Coast Mobile Home Improvement gave me a quote to do foundation repair. They will tearing out the old sidewalk and replace it with one that drains away from the house and redoing a little foundation strip and installing a French drain to collect the water that drains away from the house so it doesn't ground my neighbors.

My experience was great. They did a really good job. They were here like 8 hours. I am very satisfied with the work. It was real quick. I got it scheduled quickly and they were out within a couple of days. I am 100% satisfied. Two guys came out and inspected everything. We sat and talked and they also found underneath the house a gas line that was all rusted and they replaced that for me as well. They seemed to really know what they were talking about, were very professional, and got the job done quickly.
Description of Work: West Coast Mobile Home Improvement came out and leveled my house. They went under my mobile home and re-leveled the piers underneath. On a mobile home it needs to be done periodically and I had never had it done before. I knew it had to be done, because doors weren't closing right.

We had a few changed appts but David arrived and proceeded to check the overall condition of the home. We started with the bent awning and told him of the plans to remodel the kitchen. David checked in and around the house and noticed the foundation pads were old and some of the piers were not even holding the house up. He put them back into place where needed. He noticed that we had a bump under the rug going done the middle of the home "aka marriage line" which was probably due to to the piers below not even supporting the home evenly underneath. David quoted us a price to replace the pads and re-level. The work was scheduled a few days later and was approx a 4 hour process start to finish. Included was the 6 & 12 mo inspection to ensure everything is in good shape. For those folks who think this is an upsell- I can see why since most people don't fix what they can't see. From personal experience we have had our home re-leveled twice in 12 years- once for $500 and the second was a special $49. One of these professionals said that the bump down the middle of the house was due to the padding under the carpet when I knew that was not true. Neither of these licensed professionals achieved the same results that we saw with West Coast. That bump reduced at least 50% the same day and some of the floors seem to squeak less. I also had previous quotes to replace the pads and re-evel the piers and these were double the price with no warranty. For our mobile home West Coast had the best price and best service. And before I forget- they replaced the awning piece the same day- Fedex had to pick up the cost on this item but we were happy it was done and completed quickly. The kitchen remodel is still in the estimates stage but we are getting educated in the process.

Overall experience and workmanship was good. However, I would caution any customers to be on lookout for other work that west coast rise to push as some of it may be unnecessary.
Description of Work: Work was to repace rotting subfloor in bathroom. Workmanship was good and contractor was responsive and work was completed in timely manner. However the company kept trying to push other work unrelated to the bathroom subfloor repair. It was like trying to buy a car. The company would quote a price and then would indicate that had to go to manager to see if such a good price was valid. Overall, it was very tiring to deal with the company pushing other work. Ultimately, we did proceed with some unrelated work but declined other work which happened to be covered by insurance.

What changed your mind from your review written on 8/20/12 right after the work was completed? You basically wrote the same review but with a sightly different score. Is there anything we can help you with? Generally, we attempt to adjust foundation before we do anything else to ensure your home is stable and level to give you a better value for the repairs you requested. I apologize for the "car buying experience", I understand that it can be frustrating. Please let us know if you have any other concerns or questions. Thanks!

I called the office of West Coast Improvement several time and spoke to a woman who said she would have "one of the guys' call me since she was unable to either schedule a consultation or answer any questions I had. I called a total of three times with several days between each call. I offered to pay for the consultation and measuring. I NEVER even got a call back from "one of the guys." We are about to remodel the kitchen in our 2100 sq ft manufacturer home and while designing initial plans I was concerned about whether a wall was bearing, needed help with measuring and wanted an initial estimate. Since I am removing a wall, cutting in a few new doors and completely gutting the kitchen this is an extensive project and we are spending thousands of dollars. I guess this firm is not interested in our business even though they advertise extensively in our community magazine. I will not continue to call and beg them as there are plenty of other contractors out there who will be happy to consult with me and give me estimates. If this firm is unable to return a phone call what else might they be unable or unwilling to do?
Description of Work: Joe, the co-owner, was concerned about a review I listed here because they did not return my phone calls. He contacted me in person. It turns out that this was a secretarial snafu and he was very apologetic and is willing to go out of his way to make up for his employee's negligence. Joe is very personable and very knowledgeable. Although we have not scheduled any work yet, he was able to answer a few questions about structural issues I had and come up with a plan of action including my getting other bids from his competitors. He also suggested another contractor for a kitchen gut and remodel that I am considering who might be more able to meet my specific needs at a cost saving. Joe was genuinely interested in helping me and more than made the employee's mistake right. I would highly recommend this firm.

Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks of digging through our records and databases, we are unable to locate any record of this. We deeply apologize for what you have gone through as it is never our intention to ignore any potential customer (or even current customers for that matter). We are always available to give free estimates as our scheduling department even takes after hours phone calls. We have no way of contacting you via phone as we do not have your contact information to even call you to correct this.

I searched Angie's List on Saturday, Jan 19th and met with Raymond on Sunday, Jan 20th. They had the best reviews at the time and they are the ones who called me back first and was able to meet with me on a Sunday, playoff day by the way. I had already figured there were about ten thousand dollars in damages and that was what the initial estimate came to. I already knew there would probably be more once the place was cleaned out and work began. The only thing I had an issue with was the window. One of the windows was off track. We were told that the entire window had to be replaced because it could not be repaired. Logic told me that a mobile home window had to be able to be repaired without spending $800.00 per window to have them replaced. We were told the windows were custom built which didn't make sense because these homes are all over the place. I went home and searched online for about an hour and finally found 1 youtube video showing how to replace a 'non tilt window channel balance'. (The hardest part was figuring out what language to use when searching it out.) I showed the video to my husband and he was able to fix the window in about 5 minutes.) Overall, he probably repaired about 6 of the 12 windows. Although I did not need parts for the window, I was able to locate parts online pretty easily, however finding a "how to" of any kind was not as easy. glassdistributors.com is great for parts as well as completemobilehomesupply.com Over all the work was done within a very reasonable amount of time, roughly 2 weeks. A little more time was added because out of no where the master bathtub sprung a leak, or actually gushed water suddenly. That was on a Saturday, luckily we were at the home working on it at the time. Knowing that the water was within seconds of running down the air ducts and flooding the rest of the home, I started sucking it out with a wet dry vac. The main shut off was not labeled properly so I was at a loss as to where to shut it off at. I immediately called Raymond and he detoured his current travels and came right over. (Feeling exhausted and ready to burn the place down, I very much appreciated this type of response. Customer service means a lot to me and it's something I am willing to pay for.) The carpet was delayed however it was a blessing because for one we sprung the leak and the cleaning crew I hired did not follow through, whom I did not get off of Angie's list but whom I did give a review for. If you are looking for a cleaning crew do not use Full Moon Cleaning Service. If you want to know why, read my review on them and look at the photos, which I will have posted soon after I post this review. Cleaning the fireplace out while the old carpet was still there probably saved me from hiring a carpet cleaning service. All work was done to our satisfaction. The holes in the walls, including the ones every door knob created. The leaks were all repaired. The door jam was fixed without replacing the door. Exterior carpet and interior carpet looks as it did when the home was first purchased.(The heart shaped entry piece made a nice touch.) Interior paint job was done well and we were able to mark any missed spots which were taken care of on the first re-visit. The new awning panels blend very well with the existing. Raymond was able to advise us on what needed to be done in order to bring the home up to code. He was a great salesman however he did not write up everything we brought up and did detour us away from some things to save money, which was appreciated. I found West Coast to be very professional. Of the repairs done I believe the price was reasonable. I would use them again if needed strictly because: They got the job done right the first time. I did not have to babysit them. They did all repairs without us being at the property, which was a huge plus considering we live 60 miles away and work full time. I received calls from them on a regular basis and did not have to chase anyone down or wonder when they were going to complete something or show up. I called with concerns over new things I found and they would observe them and advise us without us having to be there. They reply to emails and text messages. I needed to be able to TRUST them to do their job while I did mine. We were preparing the home to put on the market. I wanted it as close to new as possible and with their help we were able to accomplish that goal. Our realtor was amazed at the transformation from a home who had hard core smokers inside of it for 5 years, 5 tons of trash left behind. Filth and structural damage throughout. (Basically looked like a theatrical crack house.) If I had to do it all over again, I would hire them. I had several of the residence at the mobile home park drop by amazed and I gave West Coast's info to them, including my realtor.

They came out the day after I called and checked under my mobile home. Joe thoroughly explained what needed to be done and kept it at a minimum to keep within my budget. A call was received on the next morning to schedule the work and they arrived 45 minutes early. The work was completed in a timely manner and the worker was very polite and explained what he had done.
Description of Work: Leveling of my mobile home. They were very punctual and professional. They did the work I needed at a very good price and came in to check the doors and the floor to make sure everything was in good condition. All I wanted was an honest contractor and I believe I got one. Thank you Angie's List.

They did a good job. They met my expectations. They made one little error. They kind of messed up the linoleum. They were the best price I could find.

I called the company because they were on Angie's List. I didn't realize until afterwards that they also advertised in my Mobile Home Park Booklet. The same day that I called, a representative from the company came out - did a survey of the premises and proceeded to tell me all the problems and how he (the company) would fix them.We settled on a price. $3,900 for retro fitting and bringing the foundation up to code and $4,100 for needed repairs - on the south side of the structure and for painting the entire $1600 square foot sturucture. The foundation work took one day and the painting 3. Along the way with the process of doing the work there were a couple of glitches - sprinkler system got compromised, sprung a leak and the direct tv wiring was shorted out That said - the company and/or one of its representatives fixed and/or paid for what was broken. About 3 weeks later we received another visit from one of the company representatives once again walking the premises and finding a few more items that needed to be repaired. He took pictures and let us know that the ground under the structure was filthy (cats had been living there) and that a couple of foundation bars had been omitted with the first estimate as well as the fact that there was incorrect flooring under the water heater. That cost including another hot water heater was another $3000. What I liked about the company - they are accessible - they are efficient - workers came when they said they would and finished the work in the time frame they agreed on. The workers were very clean and professional. Did I pay too much - probably. But over the years I have found that most companies "spike the jobs" and leave in the middle finsihing a week or two after the assigned times. I have had more workmen whose "grandmas" died during my construation jobs. Would I use them again. Well, I hope not - because I would like to believe that the fixed everything possible - but I would if there was more structural damage. Would I recommend them - Yes - You will pay for their excellent service, but I suggeest getting a materials and labor breakdown and know that the guys who come out to do the estimates are fantastic salesmen.

We were visiting our newly purchased 35-year old manufactured home. We had NOT had a pre-sale home inspection because of incomplete info from realtor and it was not required since there was no bank loan involved. Bad move and we are old enough to know better but info indicated home had sold just several months prior and no problems were found that weren't due to age of home. I scheduled a visit to discuss kitchen remodel of $10-15,000. During discussion, foundation question was asked that we couldn't answer. Company rep went under house and took husband under to show piers sitting on "temporary" jacks and not tied down to permanent piers; some piers missing; no connection tying the 3 bays of the home together; and exposed electrical wires on ground from deteriorated conduit. Whole job $8700 and could be accomplished during our 10-day stay.Company rep was extremely polite, informed and wanted us to understand. Due to short time frame, I trusted the Angie's rating and review of the company AND the excellent BBB rating and accepted their bid. Subsequent research did not indicate I was scammed on price or need. Slight gas smell led to furnace which was obviously old and there were 2 "central" AC systems installed, one original and one 10 years old serving one bay only. House had one window AC unit and lots of fans leading me to question the adequacy of the existing systems. Price quote to install new 5ton unit AND remove and clean-up exisiting units $7900 which was consistent with friends cost on recent installation. They were extremely accommodating to finish in our time frame. The installers were professionals and it showed. They worked long hours tocomplete the work and didn't seem to waste any time. The work supervisor from the "office" called and checked-in before each day's work.
Description of Work: Foundation tie-down to existing and additional piers; installation of coach clamps along "marriage" line; replacement of rotted wooden pier pads; replacement of deteriorated electrical conduit. (35 year-old manufactured home was found NOT to have been tied down to permanent piers!) Replacement of 35 year old furnace and central AC.

What a difference! Everything went extremely well! The estimator took us to a local building supplier and gave us different options for color and design. Based on his recommendation, we did change some of our original thoughts and are very happy that we did. Then the manager came out to walk- thru the job and details with me. He explained all that they were going to do and how long it would take. I appreciated this as, up to this point I wasn't fully understanding as to how they were going to redesign the bath with the new tub. He searched for exactly the type of soaker tub I wanted. The actual work was scheduled to be completed within a week. They had everything timed and did not go beyond their estimated completion date. The same project manager was on site every day working and keeping the job on track. If I had any questions or issues, he made sure my questions were resolved and answered. I also showed him some various miscellaneous "handyman" type issues that he helped me with. He was also the only person I had asked that was able to recommend a cleaning product that actually worked and cleaned spots I had been unable to get out! All work was completed within the scheduled week. There was minimal dust and they cleaned everything they could along the way as well as before leaving. We gained almost 2 feet of space in the bathroom, plus I have a beautiful and useful new tub. It has been put to good use as I am a runner and take soaks to help with muscle soreness. Now, that it has been a few months since work completion, everything is great! We just love the new look of the bathrooms. Just replacing various other fixtures or flooring has given other rooms an updated and new look. We would definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: There was this huge round bathtub in our master bath. There were no faucets. The only way to fill the tub was by the hand held shower sprayer. It was unusable for any of our purposes; plus, the tub took up a big space. The main focus was the removal of this tub and installation of a soaker tub. Plus there were several upgrades to be done: new flooring in both bathrooms and laundry area; installation of new bathroom & kitchen faucets; new bathroom mirrors; lighting; painting; installation of an outside garden hose spigot.

This company is excellent. The estimator and the technician were professional and very nice people. The work preformed was above and beyond our expectations. So nice, so thorough. Explained everything. Went under house and out at least four times to make sure the job was done right. Solved our major problems plus small ones as well. Would not hesitate to recommend this company and it's employees.
Description of Work: Leveled our mobile home.

The workmanship was good and started and ended as stated. However, the whole experience was like buying a new car. The salesman/estimator kept pushing the company's qualifications and additional work needed. What started out as a subfloor replacement morphed into the other services previously described. And they kept pushing to have other work completed. For example, they discovered two leaks under the house. This was probably legitimate work that needed to be done. However, their approach was that for each piece of additional work, they would disappear for a few minutes to talk to their manager to get the "best price possible". Overall, it all seemed a bit pushy.
Description of Work: Original request was for the replacement of a subfloor in the master bathroom. However, they convinced us to do some additional work such as leveling the house and placing plastic supports under the 72 jacks.

I wanted something to cover up outside noise. It did not work as well as I thought it would have for what they charged me. They represented themselves very well. They were just a little costly. He did put the paneling on with the words showing on the outside of the house and I was not happy about that. They were always on time. I would not use them again though.
Description of Work: I had a paneling put on the inside of my windows for noise control.

The salesman, crew, foreman and the office personnel were professional, knowledgeable and experienced. The salesman was polite and willing ,upon my request, to take pictures underneath the coach in order "to show me" exactly what was needed. The foreman took his time to answer all my questions thoroughly to my satisfaction. West Coast Home Improvement will be the ONLY company I call for any future repairs. I only wish I'd found them years ago. I highly recommend the company.

Every body that I dealt with, including the workers, were very professional. I do think that I was pressured a little to make the decision to have them do the roof, but it was my fault for not getting another estimate. The quality control person told me that they give special prices to Vedder Community residents. I don't know if this is true. The work was completed in one day, and I'm very happy about that. I will use this company again, but I will get other estimates first.
Description of Work: They installed a 24' x 59' insulate roof system. It has a 25year warranty with a semi-annual inspection at no charge for life. They then sent out a quality control inspector who the discovered tha I needed a complete repiping and new water heater. They gave me an estimate of $3,750. I'm not going to do that at this point.
