Our AC went out on a hot day. I checked around to see if some of the larger better known companies could come out that day. They all and a waiting list of 3-4 days. Looking through Angie's list, I contacted Liberty. They cam out later in the afternoon on the same data. They investigated to see why our AC was not working. Turns out it was the condensate pump that was not working and they replace it right away. I would recommend Liberty Plumbing, Heating and AC

Since some cases can result in having to add additional freon, it would have been nice to know the cost of the freon per pound in the initial check up deal, if it was required. The provider did tell me the price after the initial check up and before I agreed to add the additional cost of the freon but at that time I had no way of knowing if the price was high or low. After doing some additional research later on Angies list it appears that the price was ok. There are some that are higher and some that are lower. Overall it was a positive transaction and the provider did what they said they would do.

They were actually a second opinion for my non-working air conditioner but I went with them because they were very thorough and cheaper then the first company that looked at it. They replaced the same part as the first company quoted but were about $400 cheaper. They also managed to get the part in 2 business days where the other company said over a week. I didn't sacrifice cost for service though, they did a great job and now my AC works better than ever. I would definitely use them again. Another added bonus was that the repairman was a Air Force reservist and I am happy to support our troops and happy to support a company that also supports our troops.

Tech met with my husband. Hubby very impressed and loved how the tech showed him step by step what he was doing and explained everything along the way. System took 6 lbs. of Freon!! Owner of company called in the next few days to follow up and make sure we were satisfied with the service. Would highly recommend. Have used several A/C companies in the last few months for condo we own in another town and this will be our new A/C company. Hubby felt tech was very honest and knowledgeable which are the most important factors to us in a service company like this. Added benefit...quality work and price wasn't bad either for all the Freon the system needed!! Will definitely use again...and again!! The tech said now that we are established with them here, they would also service our condo which is a bit out of their normal service area!! Really appreciate that too!

Responded promptly to make arrangements for a visit. Availability was reasonable. Work performed efficiently.

My A/C unit is old and on it's way out. I want to get one more summer use out of it. I called Jerry because I used him in the past. I told him I can't afford a whole new system at this time. He understood. I told him I might just need a boost of freon. He did not try to upsell me a new unit as another company did in the past. He sent out Sean and Duncan the same day I called. Like Jerry, Sean and Duncan were very professional with an added touch of personality. I asked Sean many questions and he took the time to explain the answers to me in laymans terms. I never felt like they were trying to rush through the job and move on to the next call. After they left, Jerry followed up with a phone call to check up on things. This company is the real deal. I will not hesitate to recommend or use them in the future.

The air in our new house was taking way too long to cool down using our AC, and only dropped a few degrees even after running for hours. I called another provider first, and was given a date far in the future for service. So I tried Liberty, and the owner said that he would get Sean, who was in San Diego finishing a job, to come here next. I was very pleasantly surprised by same day service, since it was 99 degrees outside. Sean arrived in just over an hour, checked the freon and found it was at normal levels. He checked the air coming out of our vents and it was mostly above 80 degrees. Sean climbed into our hot attic to check the air handler and found that there were gaps in the panels, which were allowing the super hot air in the attic to be sucked into the air handler...it was impossible to effectively cool this air. Sean sealed the cabinet to eliminate these gaps, and the temperature coming out of the vents began to come down immediately. Thanks to Sean and Liberty for quick response and a cooler house.

It went exceptionally well. Very Satisfied with the experience. Liberty was able to squeeze us in at the end of their day, the same day we called, to fix our emergency. In the middle of a heat wave, everyone else told us they wouldn't be able to get us on their schedule until next week, some as late as next Friday(it's Thursday). The service tech, Sean, was very personable and professional. Gave us handy advice as he worked quickly and efficiently. The Angie's List discount was nice. I would not hesitate to call them again if the need arose and I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

First of all, I want to thank Angies List for having an honest service person like Jerry. Jerry was extremely honest and reliable. I ordered the service and Jerry contacted me. He cared about the issue and performed the service. As a result, I will only call Liberty from now on. I can not tell you how many times that other contractors and service personnel I have dealt with that do not care about the customer. Overall outstanding service!

They did a good job. They were friendly. They answered all my questions. They were on time. We have used them a couple of times since then.

The whole experience was excellent. The technician, Sean, was running early and he called to see if he could come by before his scheduled appointment time. When he was here, he was professional, knowledgeable, quick and efficient. He thoroughly answered all of our questions and (here's the best part) it's fixed! The business owner, Jerry, called to check in toward the end of the day to make sure we were satisfied, which was most appreciated. I would highly recommend Liberty and am looking to working with them on a future plumbing project. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

An AMAZING Experience! I called Liberty Plumbing around 3:00pm today & left a message on their machine. I recieved a return call @ 3:30pm and Dawson arrived @ 4:30!! Dawson was able to repair the pipe within an hour!! The price was only $200.00 which was much less than what we thought would cost considering the type of repair it was! We will definitely use them again & would highly recommend them to anyone who has a plumbing need. Thanks Dawson for the fantastic job you did! Jo & Mike O'Rielly

Sean C came to our house to check a problem with our A/C. He was on time , polite and very helpful. He figured out the problem quickly and fixed it to our satisfaction. I would recommend Liberty to anyone and use them again if I have another problem. Thanks Liberty and Sean

Although I had my AC system checked out in April, the first hot day we had, it was blowing only hot air. I called the company that did the maintenance check to come back out to see what the problem was. They told me that my compressor was no good, and recommended replacement instead of fixing it, as the cost of a new one was not that much more. (The circuit breaker to the compressor had tripped, hence it was blowing hot air). He wrote 3 estimates, one for replacing the whole outside unit, one for the entire AC system, and one for the whole heating/AC system. It was pretty costly, so I decided to get another estimate. I called Liberty, and the owner, Jerry came out the very next day, and called before the arrival time to let me know he was on the way. I told him what I was informed of by the previous company, and he checked out the entire heating/AC system. Much to my relief, he assured me that there was nothing wrong with my system, it was working just fine. He stated that it was getting old and would need to be replaced eventually, but nothing needed to be done now. That news was such a relief!! And then even better.............he didn't even charge for a service call! Did you ever hear of anyone doing that? He said he didn't do anything, so he wasn't going to charge me for anything. I thought he did A LOT by checking everything out. And if that wasn't enough, he called me about 8pm to see if things were still up and running. Another first! Needless to say, I am dumping my old AC company (which is a large one with an excellent reputation). LIBERTY is the only one I will call now.

After a huge SCE POWER SURGE, I was panicking with all the horrid results! Two homes on our property with AC/Heaters out, thermostats fried, computers, refrigerators, ovens, gar.door openers, etc. all fried or damaged. Other than an electrician the only service I was able to contact over this Memorial Day weekend was Jerry at Liberty ! Since A/C was not an emergency we set up an AM Tues. appt. He and his son, David personally came out and they immediately reduced my level of stress simply by their presence. They fixed everything and assured me there wasn't further damage. Missing one part, they sent Their manager Sean out the following morning. He was just as pleasant and finished up. They were the best I've ever worked with and I will ALWAYS call them. I could feel their honesty and hope more services will understand the importance of this to those of us out there suddenly in need of help.

My 26 year old central air system went out on a Thursday night. I called Liberty Friday morning and the sales manager for Liberty came to the home the same afternoon. After discussing details, options and answering all of my questions, I accepted their contract to replace my 5 ton ac and furnace. The price was fair and all of the work was completed the very next Tuesday. Part of the installation involved enlarging the air return space under the furnace closet. This improvement, along with the higher efficiency AC unit should keep me smiling this summer. They also provided a programmable thermostat and set it up so the house will always be at my preferred temperature. I won't even have to switch between cooling and heating when the seasons change. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and will definitely call Liberty for any plumbing problems I might have in the future.

I called Jerry yesterday a little distraught because of my current air conditioning system. My wife has been sitting in a hot home for about a week because our warranty did not cover any replacements or issues, and we didn't know what to do. I looked in Angie's list for an AC guy near us and boy did we hit a winner. Jerry at Liberty was very friendly to both my wife and I. He came out, looked at our air conditioning unit and diagnosed a filter problem almost immediately. Afterwards he had a friendly conversation with my wife about our home, the state of it and the potential behind it. He was very helpful and friendly, and we are so excited to have found someone that we can work with on our home. We were a first time home buyer and this has been another daunting process for us. He gave us his card, told us how to fix the air conditioning unit, and because of how small the fix is and the fact that we can do it ourselves he didn't even charge us! This is probably the best contractor and person I have worked with in my entire experience with my home, and I am very excited about moving forward on fixing just about everything with him. WAY TO GO JERRY!

While this may seem like a simple job, believe me it wasn't. Prior to Liberty coming out, I had another air conditioner repair company come out on a Sunday when the unit stopped working. I used Angie's list to find that provider. They determined the Compressor was "burned out," yet while he was here, he found the circuit breaker had shut off to compensate for the overheated unit. When he put it back on, everything worked well. He said we needed a new compressor and that they could provide me a quote which would be around $2200. I said I would let him know if we needed a quote to replace the compressor, since the unit was working at the time. I paid the $89 service call fee (for really not much work), and he left. Within 10 minutes, the unit's fan stopped working but the compressor was still running. I called the company to see if he could come back and tell me if the compressor was the problem, because the compressor was running while the fan was not. Despite several phone calls to the company, the the dispatcher calling trying to reach the repairman, no one came back or talked to me about the problem Only three days later when I called and talked to the owner did they say they would send me a quote for the compressor, which I was not all that sure was needed. So, I went back to Angies List and found Liberty. The dispatcher was professional and extremely helpful in getting someone out the same day, AT NOT CHARGE, to give me a 2nd opinion. Two technicians arrived and after testing the unit, determined we needed a new fan motor, not a compressor. The charge was $380, including a 10% discount Angie's coupon. So we basically saved at least $1800 over what we would have paid the first company. I can't say enough good things about this company. Everyone was professional, efficient, and extremely helpful;. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any air conditioning work.

Left a message. Jerry returned my call very quickly. Liberty came out the next day and offered to repair my air conditioner. I really appreciated this since I had another company come out and although they were very nice, they did not offer me an option to do a repair and only gave me estimates for replacing my system which would have cost many thousands of dollars. In addition, the other company charged to come out whereas Liberty does not, even if you do not have Liberty do the work. I had Liberty do the repair and the A/C started working again. It was a bit low on freon so I had them top it off and now all is well. Doing the repair and recharge only cost several hundred dollars which is only a fraction of what a replacement would have cost. Thank you Liberty for your honesty in offering a repair and not just offering to replace, and thank you for coming out so fast and for doing a great job. You're definitely on my list of keepers.

Jerry was very quick to return my phone call. He gave me a price over the phone and set up next day installation. Plumber (Duncan) arrived promptly and competently completed the job in a little over an hour with no mess. There was a slight disagreement over the scope of work and what the original agreement included. This problem would have been avoided with a WRITTEN estimate. We amicably resolved the issue and I would definitely use Liberty again.
