Box Construction: Defrauding the Consumer One Job at a Time! Veterans Beware!!!! BEWARE!!! Box Construction is a Fraud! BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE!!!! We had a flood in our home, coming from our second story down in to our first story living area. After doing tons of research, a friend of ours suggested we use their contractor (bad decision). Well, after almost 70K in repairs with remodel, 4 months of construction, we have another flood! The same day the job was done, we had faulty equipment installed, leaking valves, chipped glass, faulty sloping and draining, missing grout in the shower, no sealant on the grout, and no grout in the window area which is in the shower. Most important, in my opinion, the shower was not hot mopped to keep water out. Mind you, water has been going down the window sill area where the contractor never caulked or grouted (not sure why), and now we have a major flood again to include mold. Yes, the owner has suggested he'd come out, rip everything out, start over from scratch. Of course we won't be bringing them back. They never pulled permits with the city of murrieta, surprise surprise. They came back no less than a dozen times from the project end in October until now in 2023 for repairs. Not once did they take care of the caulking, grout, or leaks we were having for months. Now, we have a major flood because the ceiling has given way. Not only is this going to be litigated, this company should be out of business for fraud. The company offered a one year warranty, which is great. However, would you want the company that didn't do it right the first time, or the 12 times they came back, to come start the entire project over again? I don't think so. This company is all smoke and bs. Take your money and hide!

Just like our bathroom, this team looks to be top-notch--at first glance. Just because they can make it look nice does not make it reliable, durable or safe. It's only after the final payment is made that you will come to find out that's not the case. Our remodel took 4 months. It was my only hope that they would come and go as they please to take their time--that this job would be done correctly the first time. Upon "completion" the project manager Jose and owner Steve were satisfied with a level of work that was subpar, to say the least. In my opinion, having basic waterproofing is priority number one. While we experienced timely responses and they showed face to fix issues of neglect, they truly did not fix anything when given 2 or 3 opportunities to come back and make it right they simply covered it up, while we all knew there was water exposure for 3 months in the windowsill--And 5 months in the pan and bench. Water coming from the speakers " we caulked it again, should be good" my response: "What about pulling the speaker and checking what's going on?" Erick from Box wasn't concerned with it at all until 2 weeks later when there was water pouring from our speaker again!! This time they agreed to pull the speaker (at my request) to find LAYERS OF SOAKED INSULATION, rotting plywood, and sponge drywall!! There have been so many failures. Failures on basic, common sense things. They beg to have another chance but any time we've given them chances they do a quick bandage and hope to not hear about it again- neglecting to fix to root of any issue which only made matters worse! I mean if you KNOW there's water coming from an area, would you want it sealed in or investigate- how? It's newly installed-- where? Isn't it waterproof--why? We hired licensed contractors. Now that we've had 7 contractors come out to take a look and fix they've inspected layers on layers of faults due to poor craftsmanship and installation. It is not an issue of poor materials but the quality of care put into the project. This company has made a nightmare of this situation for our family, putting our health and wellness at risk!! They now expect us to live through the hassle of a remodel again forcing us to file a claim with insurance and giving no consideration to the costs, risk of safety, or we are incurring a second time!! While we can give grace for mistakes, failure to actually fix it with integrity and competence has not saved any one time, money, or grief!! Let our experience save you from choosing a company that only looks out for themselves!

Box Construction did an amazing job!! We are so happy with how our kitchen turned out. They were professional and very detail oriented. Steve and his crew showed up everyday getting work done. His whole crew was very clean, respectful and hardworking.

Box box construction is an unbelievably good contractor. In a time when a slab leak completely destroyed the first floor of our house, Stephen and his team worked with the insurance company and then perform the work to complete our house in a very timely and organized fashion. Furthermore the quality of work was very high and they left our house in a much better place then we started. This included, new flooring throughout the house, new baseboards, Paint, and new cupboards in the laundry room. I couldn’t recommend Box construction hire and I know you won’t be disappointed.
