As we were thinking of doing a large-scale remodeling project at our house that included the remodeling of our kitchen, Laundry and 2 bedrooms in our home and after we met and spoke to many contractors for that job, we finally decided to hire SOD builders for that job. SOD builder’s had many years of expertise in their portfolio and they did had the ability to design and implemented our needs into a truly gorgeous kitchen. From the marble countertop as the center piece in the kitchen all the way to the backsplash in the breakfast bar… this new kitchen feels ours and it became the main focus room at the house. The bedrooms and the laundry room was also a great success in the design and implementation and we teared them all the way down to the studs and rebuild them all over again while making several changes that will improve the functionality of them. SOD builders did create several design concepts and shared with us many details to make sure everything will be exactly what we wanted and needed. Avi was positive, expert, and easy person to work and talk with. We could not be happier in our new kitchen, laundry room, bedrooms and breakfast bar.

Working with the SOD builder’s team was a huge pleasure during each step of the remodeling and every phase of our remodeling which included the complete remodeling of our master bathroom, laundry room and the entry of our house. Their ideas, design, implementation and attention to all the details even the smallest ones of the construction was excellent in every way. We highly recommend their entire team and we do urge everyone to hire them for any home remodeling projects such as ours.

We enjoyed very much working with Avi, Sari and their crew at SOD builders to remodel our master bathroom/bedroom and guest bathroom. During the remodeling project, the communications between us and the people who been at the house was very good and in fact it really helped with most of the stress that we had during the remodeling. The quality of each one of the crew was top notch and we were really surprised when we saw how they work. Each one of them always wanted to be sure that we were happy. Sari and Avi were fun and easy people to work with in the design and implementation stages. They were a huge help for us since we our design knowledge was not big. They kept listing to what we likes and dislikes and help us to find the perfect products for our remodeling. At the end of the work, everything looks very beautiful and all of our questions were addressed and solved to our satisfaction. We don’t see ourselves happier with the results of how our remodeling project came out.

SOD builders and his skilled team did a wonderful job at our house by remodeling our master bedroom and master bathroom. It all started with our vision in mind on how we would like to have our master bedroom and bathroom and SOD builders made it to a reality! The entire remodeling process was very well planned (which we know that the planning stage was a huge factor in the overall work) and the communication they had with us all the time was beyond outstanding. At the beginning of each step of the work, we knew the current costs of the work and we knew very well what the next step. We know that all remodeling projects can have problems and issues -- but SOD builders made the outcome of the remodeling… well worth the effort. They earned our highest appreciation and we look forward to hire and working with them again in the future.

We hired SOD builders to completely gut and remodel our kitchen, bathrooms and living room. living at a house without a kitchen or living room during any type of remodeling is not easy but SOD builders and his excellent supervisor and the working team, the living at the house during the work was possible and definitely worth it. They all were very polite, experienced and skilled group of hardworking people that after this remodeling, we will absolutely hire them again for any remodeling projects no matter what the cost will be compare to any other company. Their approved to work overall system and communication skills with everyone on the team that was at the house during the work, was terrific. We are really happy with our decision to hire and work with SOD builders. We had a pleasure being around the crew while they remodeled our house. The work that was done by them was high quality, within our budget and everything was finished a little bit before the promised time. Adan had a unique design ideas and we were able to add several features to our remodeling project, features that we were sure that we can’t have on our own. Due to our satisfaction with them, we already planning on having additional remodeling work on our house in the next few months and SOD is the company that we will hire for that. In addition to that, we do recommend them to our family and friends!

We were very impressed with the knowledge of all the people at Sod builders and mainly Ehud our project manager. Ehud was such a stress relief person when it came to any solution or improvement of existing idea, concern or even tasks that required to be addressed. All of our conversations related to the remodeling project were followed by Ehud in a timely manner. We really were impressed by the way this company worked overall and how all the required items of the project were handled in a professionally manner and in a way that everything was ordered ahead of time and ready to be used in the project without any delays. We will do more remodeling projects with SOD builders in the future and we definitely recommend them to anyone we know.

This company did a wonderful remodeling job at our house. We hired them to remodel our kitchen, bathrooms, patio and front yard. They always were in touch with us about the progress of the work and the office staff was very professional and polite with us when it comes to billing and documentation. The work was managed by 1 person ((Allen) who was in charged on everything related to the project. At the end of the work, Allen provided us with a nice disk on key that included all the related documents, pictures and videos of the work from day one till the end of it. They were professional and I would recommend them for others to use.

After we met and spoke to many construction and home improvement companies, we came to a conclusion to hire Gal and his team of professionals at SOD builders for our large scale remodeling which was to remodel more than half of our house including: The kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and our 2 cars garage. All the remodeling spaces we tore down and rebuilt based on the new design that was done by Gal after our meetings where we shared our vision, ideas and goals with him. During the work at the house, all of the involved people that did the actual work and Gal who managed them, they were all very skilled, hardworking people and professionals. All of their work turned out to be perfect. In this review we want to express our satisfaction and thanks to Gal mainly as he always heard to our concerns, questions and made sure that all of them will be nothing else than just easy issues that were solved professionally. We highly recommend all of them including SOD builders.

We hired SOD builders (Allen and his team) to redesign and remodel our master bathroom 2 years ago. We really loved the entire process of the work that they did and the bathroom itself that turned out to be so much useful and much better than we ever thought it will come out. Since that time, we didn’t do any additional project at our house and several months ago, we agreed to do another remodeling project at our house and to have our kitchen completely remodeled. We called Allen once again and we asked him to come over and to start the process once again and at the end, we hired SOD builders for the remodeling job. Allen came over, met with us several times and designed our kitchen. Our initial meeting was very good because our last time trust, took over and we totally trusted his judgment and ideas. Allen and his workers were very polite and experts while they showed up each day during the week on time and we had no issues or problems at all during the whole time that they were at the house and we left them at the house during that time while both we went for work. The value and perfection of the remodeling job that they did… Speaks for itself. Some people and friends that saw it, said that it’s a little expensive but we looked at it in a different angle! We definitely got what we paid for and quality/trust – cost!

We have lived in our house for many years now and it’s been a while since we wanted to do a remodeling work and upgrade several parts at the house. During the years we have had a several different projects and now we decided to do more projects and to remodel the kitchen, bathrooms, master bedroom and few things in the back yard – all in one project. After we spoke and checked several contractors, we hired SOD builders and it had been the smartest decision we did. We worked hand by hand with Ehud and we planned and designed each part of the remodeling. Ehud took a lot of time back and forth till the design was the thing that we wanted. He then gathered all the information and ideas and placed them into several designs that brought to life everything. After that part was done, He then helped us to go and select all the materials and finishes to the project. Few months after that process, and after we came to an agreement about payments and final prices, Ehud started the work and from there, the whole thing was really easy and hassle free. Ehud did start with all the demolition of each part and he brought in several teams of people that all of them worked at the same time on several tasks. This approach was very productive because it allowed the work to be completed very fast and it looks awesome. They were extremely skilled and knew exactly what to do which caused 90% of the problems to be solved immediately and without stopping the work and think on what to do. They have done the work on time and didn’t pass the original budget which proved to us that this company know what they were doing and that this was not the first or second job they did. We highly recommended them to friends, family and neighbors.

We worked with Allen and his team and sub-contractors from SOD builders on my master bedroom and master bathroom remodeling project that also included the addition of a walk-in closet. The remodeling project has been finished 2 months ago and I am still very happy and satisfied from the way it all came out. The master bedroom needed to be upgraded by removing the old carpet with a new modern hardwood floor, new coat of fresh paint, nice crown molding and wood shoe base, LED lighting all around with home automated switches and outlets, and new wiring for my home entertainment system. In the bathroom, they basically did everything from the removal of the old shower all the way to a new relocation of it with nice double sink vanity and lighting. The new walk-in closet was created by shrinking the master bedroom in few feet and extend it to the outside of the backyard. Allen put on all his skills and designing expertise and this was the main reason (to my opinion) why my remodeling project came out in such a success. When I asked his advice for the type and style of the new tile floor for the bathroom, his outstanding idea and suggestion was very impressive and his communications skills meet my needs too. All of the involved personal were very detailed and focused on the timelines and quality while making sure that the work will be completed as scheduled. I do have few more remodeling projects to do at my house and I will not think twice to hire Allen and SOD builders back again.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT COMPANY!!! We had an astonishing kitchen remodeling project and the whole office staff at SOD builders were always there for us and the communications were perfect. The entire wonderful working team and the results of the remodeling just proved us how skilled people they were and how worth was it to hire them for our house. The kitchen remodeling project went very easy and smoothly for us and with the less stress that we could imagine. The work supposed to end within 5-6 weeks but in reality it was finished after 4.5 weeks. We knew that our kitchen remodeling project was a bit more extensive but SOD builders and mainly Adam, were top notch and always on top of everything from the selecting of the materials all the way to making sure that the delivery will be on time and without any delays... I am looking forward to have them again at my house doing more remodeling projects. Would recommend these guys to everyone!

Allen and his excellent skilled and professional team at SOD builders did a wonderful bathroom remodeling job at our house. During our meetings with him, we felt like was only collecting information about our thoughts, vision, ideas and goals so he will be able to give us the best new bathroom. During the entire work, he made sure that everything will go according to the plan while insisting that the budget will remain the same and without any changes. The new master bathroom came out like a 5 star hotel each time we use it or just watching it! We loved and appreciated the fact that he was up front about everything and anything he said – he did and without any problem. After our master bathroom was finished, we asked him also to replace all the existing floors with mahogany hardwood floors including all the baseboards and crown moldings. Thanks again to Allen and his excellent team of workers!!

Many thanks to SOD builders and mainly Allen and the actual people that were involved in our remodeling, for the excellent remodeling job that they did at our house. The remodeling project included the full remodeling of our house and it included the kitchen. Bathrooms, back yard, front yard, bedrooms and hallways. The work changed completely the house and we love it very much! Allen and his crew did such a professional work and each part of it was done with extra care and attention. During the work and even after, Allen was there for us to answer any of our questions or concerns, meeting us at various vendors and helped us selecting and choosing all the materials, appliances and paint. He used his skills and experience to advise us on all the many available options for many issues that raised during the work! We would refer SOD builders to anyone looking to convert their house space into something stunning!

We hired SOD builders to do a complete kitchen remodeling and enlarge the existing space by expanding the walls several feet to the patio area. The new kitchen included the installation of the upper and lower cabinets, new paint, new backsplash, marble counter top, LED lighting and new dishwasher, stove and range. Allen, the project manager and Shirael (the lady that we worked with in regards to all the documents, payments and permits) from the office who did an outstanding job helping us. During the work, we clearly noticed that they were always made sure that the costs will remain the same and won’t pass the budget that was set at first and they made sure the job was done accurately. All the sub-contractors that they employed for our house (carpenters, electricians, painters etc.) were outstanding, qualified and experienced. We were very fascinated that our project Allen was able to complete the entire kitchen few days earlier than he promised us. We were always given a personal attention by Allen, who was very good in communication and organized and by Shirael. The new kitchen looks perfect and very useful and we strongly recommend them and we will hire them again for any remodeling project we may have.

We had a truly excellent experience with SOD builders. Our remodeling project was to take down completely the old kitchen, rebuild it and remodel our 2 bedrooms, bathrooms and living room including the laundry room. The work started on the day and time that was set during our meetings with Allen and it was done on the day and time (with few days after due to some minor delays in the delivery of some materials) and it mainly stayed on our budget. The team of Allen listened to our comments and questions and they were very responsive to the approved design plan. They were very reliable, careful, and professional people. They were easygoing people to work with and to have in our house every day. Allen was able to make this remodeling project as easy as possible even though sometimes it was hard because all the problems that were raised during the work. I highly recommend SOD builders.

Mike at SOD builders was recommended to me by my sister who had hired him and his workers to remodel her house. This was our first time of remodeling a house after a very long time since we hired someone for any type of remodeling and I didn’t know absolutely nothing about what to do, what to expect or where to start. From the first meetings that we had with Mike, we got a realistic opinion about how to start, what to do and how things should be completed. During the entire remodeling, they were communicating with us very often and answered to any of our requests or questions throughout the work. They did bring our dream and vision come to reality. Mike at SOD builders was able to deal with any stage of the work with professionalism. We appreciated how they offered us several lower cost solutions to many ideas that we wanted to do. It’s been a month since the work got finished and we enjoying the house remodeling very much thanks to the hard work of Mike and the working team. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to renovate their house or business. We truly look forward to working with them again.

When we were searching for our house to buy, we noticed that one house on the same street was being remodeled by SOD builders and we asked to see how is it going for them. The owner of that house agreed for us to see the remodeling and we really loved what we saw. We also saw that the project manager Adam was there with his people so we decided to talk to him and get some information about the work that we would like to do after we will close escrow and before we will move in. After our escrow got closed, we called Adam and we asked to meet with him at our house. After we spoke in details with him, we asked to get an estimate for the work that included the remodeling of the kitchen, master bedroom and master bathroom. After Adam came once again and presented us the designs and detailed estimate, we decided to hired him for our remodeling project that was big for us but with almost no fear or stress. Our remodeling went much better than we imagined it could be and it was for sure a pleasure to deal with all the workers and Adam including the few subcontractors that came over for their own parts (such as plumbing, electricity etc..). All the people that were at the house on a daily basis, worked very hard and the completion of each part of the remodeling, present the high quality of their skills. We could not be happier with the results and we highly recommend them.

They were very pleasant and professional, but so expensive that I would never hire them.

*Service:* • SOD Builders promised access to their online database giving us full access to their to-do list, upcoming events, and current schedule, but never entered any data regarding our project into that system, despite several requests from us. Sometimes weeks or even months would go by with no one showing up to work. Rarely did we know who was coming, when, or to do what and people often came when we did not expect them, or did not come when SOD said they would. • We had to generate our project’s to-do list --Shouldn’t that have been the job of the foreman, who stopped coming about halfway through the project? *Workmen:* • The workmen were hard working men who were certainly used to working cooperatively with each other and following the instructions of their foreman. • The foreman was really nice and at first he was here much of the time, but as time went on, fewer men came each day and the foreman came by less and less often. We never saw him again after Christmas (2014). • The men were polite and diligent and we liked them all, however with the foreman no longer coming, there was no one to keep the standards high or to realize that some things required more time or expertise than the men on site had. • In the days immediately before Christmas, there was a big push to “finish the job” and a few more men came. All the workmen hustled to complete what they could and did nice things like cleaning up remaining piles of trash, etc. so the place would look better for the holidays. • After the holidays, however, SOD seemed to think the project had been completed, and no one showed for over 3 weeks. Finally SOD called for a final inspection, which fortunately did not pass because the job was in no way complete. • Someone was immediately sent out and hastily tried to complete the unfinished work. The work done that day was unbelievably subpar! We did not appreciate needing to be gatekeepers for workmanship. • Working more closely with a recently hired office staff person named Allen and the site supervisor Efren, we were able to get SOD workmen back to work on our project. They were both extremely helpful. Daniel, a general manager, stopped by at one point and got some more things going and later Mario, Efren’s boss got some SOD workmen with needed expertise in specific areas to deal with some other problems as well. We would ask these members of the oversight staff if they thought something was SOD quality work. They agreed that it was not and they would get someone to fix it. *Major problems that had to be addressed:* Roof • The designer indicated that the roof of the sun room would be tucked under that of the existing house, but because the new roof wouldn’t fit under the existing roof, they cut off the house roof overhang. They also opened up large areas of the existing attic so that metal straps could be put in place to anchor the new room. This damaged our new roof and most likely its warranty as well. • The roof repairs were sloppy, and in places patches were sealed over patches with lots of caulking and rubber cement, but a leak occurred during the next rainstorm. Eventually roofing over the entire disturbed area had to be removed, a new a waterproof barrier had to be installed and the shingles had to be more properly aligned. SOD hired out some of this work. These workmen even extended the water barrier along the edges where the main roof adjoins the new roof because they felt that the water barrier in that area was too narrow and might not withstand the abuse of heavy rainstorms. The roof repairs are now leak proof, and the shingles are more properly aligned. • At the time of the first “final inspection”, an overhang of the original roof still had a gaping hole in it that was about 4x8 inches! We had to ask several times to get that repaired, and the first 2 times it looked like someone with no building skills had simply filled it with old dirty chunks of wood full of old nail holes. Finally it was professionally repaired. Gutters • Gutters cut off during construction needed to be extended and capped on their ends afterward. To fix the problem, chunks of old removed gutter sections were then overlapped and attached by one screw to the remaining gutters to close the gaps. Not only were the junctions left unsealed, but the outside ends were wide open. Again the SOD had to hire an outside company to come in and deal with these issues and installation of gutters, downspouts, etc. for the new room. They did a splendid job. *Floor* • We got none of the promised advice regarding tile selection. • Tiled floor was neither level nor flat, being over and inch higher in the middle than in the corners. SOD had to remove all the tiles, level the concrete slab, install new tiles and touched up the newly painted walls that were damaged in the process. *Doors and windows* • Because SOD waited until completion of the interior and exterior (stucco) walls before addressing the issue that the French doors would not close properly, they had to tear into the wall above the doors when the door company was called into “fix the doors”. That company said not enough head room had been allowed above the doors. Not only that, but the hinges were bent by the workmen who had forced the doors shut during a storm. • SOD forgot to order the family room window even though we mentioned it several times. It came and was installed, but it is slightly smaller in height than the window on the adjacent wall and was not given a window sill. When I asked about it having a window sill, the foreman said he didn’t know where to get one. We never were able to get a window sill, so one window has one and the one nearby does not! It only needed a board with a rounded off edge. *Workmanship* • Where was the SOD oversight needed to prevent the countless problems that became evident before completion of our project? • Why were we expected to provide all the oversight? Only the things that we noticed were “bad” were addressed. • Despite the problems we ran into, the company did want to maintain decent standards and did not try to take advantage of us financially. • There were major problems with communication at all levels above the workmen and between all levels of the company. We would be told that someone was coming out to do something and no one would come, or that no one could come on a certain day and then someone would show up on that day. Even Oren, the owner, would schedule to come out and not show up sometimes without even a “heads up” • Allen and Efren persisted and work commenced. At one point, after realizing that the floor was going to have to be redone, the original work crew and foreman were taken off this job. Mario, Efren’s boss, was then given the task of selecting key SOD workers to repair or fix mistakes that had been made. Praise • SOD did live up to its word regarding most of what was to be built even when it was not in writing but had been discussed and agreed upon before the contract was written. • SOD never asked for more money other than for upgrades that we initiated. • SOD also did for us without charge, a number of extra minor things. We were very grateful for these little extras. • SOD also repaired anything that was damaged as a result of the project. • Whenever we pointed out that work seemed to be of lower quality than we would have expected from SOD, that problem was appropriately fixed without excuses. • Oren and Allen each came out to discuss with us all the problems that had occurred with our project, supposedly so that they could improve their business. They acted like they cared and wanted to improve their service, but……………………… Remaining Problems as of May 2017 • Many cracks have developed in the interior walls. Oren had told us to wait until Spring to give the room time to finish settling and cracking and that he would send one of his most talented people out to fix them. He also said that, at that time, he would have someone remove the tar drippings (which had resulted from the botched roof job) off the new patio. In the meantime the surface of the patio has cracked down the middle. We called in the Spring (2016) and Adi was sent out to inspect the problems, but said it would not be possible to get them repaired before we left for the summer. She took pictures and said we would be given top priority for getting the repairs made when we returned in the fall. It is now May 2017 and even after more than a dozen email contacts with SOD, no one has been scheduled to come out to fix these issues, even though we have given them our availability schedule several times at their request. We would not hire SOD Builders again or recommend them to anyone.

We are a growing family and needed a dedicated family room space. The contractor who build it didn’t finish the downstairs area. It was basically something like 300 sq/ft of empty shell of concrete walls and without any windows. Our goal was to convert this space into a family room including a full bathroom so it can be used as a guest room as well when needed. The remodeling process started with Gal and the designer of SOD. SOD builders was an easy choice from the other companies that we met. We loved the design that was made for us including the ideas that Gal brought with him based on his experience. Working with Gal was easy, not complicated and professional. He was original, positive, budget analyzer individual who was easy to work with. The actual remodeling was exciting. We enjoyed the benefit that the remodeling was downstairs and isolated from the rest of the house. The most important things that stood out were skills, communications and professionalism. Mario the carpenter and Gal were on top of all the work. Gal visited the house constantly making sure that everything is going according to plan. More than that, they made sure to maintain our privacy. When there were issues or unexpected problems, Gal spoke to us and talk about it in order to allow us decide of what solution to choose. We had weekly progress meeting at the house were Gal showed us what have been done and what will be done next week (that was very important to us). Timeliness was also important. Although the remodeling exceeded by 3 weeks, it was no unexpected and for reasons that demonstrated SOD builders promise to quality and our satisfaction. They were perfectionist about it. The bathroom is awesome and beautiful with a perfect blend of modern and rustic look. We found our self walking all over the house just to use our new space! We are so excited. The space is a continuation of the house and that is the highest compliment we can give them.

We have worked with a several contractors during the years when we moved to new house. SOD builders is simply the best of all of them and we are lucky to have this company remodel our recent new house. Our major remodeling project included several difficulties due to irregularities in the original structure of the house. Instead of solving the problems on the easy side, Adam always worked to get all the problems on the right and hard way making sure that the problem will be solved and wont come back on the long run. I appreciate a lot their moto of work that always ended in "if we do it, we do it on the best side! No short cuts." More than that, each one from the crew of workers at SOD builders was a great person to deal with. Whether a skilled worker or anyone at the office, we got the feeling that all of them were knowledgeable, nice and polite. They also went out of their way to be friendly and respectful to our neighbors. Everyone at SOD builders took this tough remodeling project and twisted it into a great experience. We couldn't be happier with the final result. We have strongly recommended SOD builders to friends and family.

Oren did a great job at my house when he remodeled my bathroom and replaced 2 windows. He was the only person that i spoke to and he made sure that the work will be done on the best way and that i will be happy with the work. the bathroom was done with extra attention to the design so i will be able to use it (i'm an elderly man and my age require special features)

WOW I am so very pleased with my new bathroom. I opted to go all out with the remodel. Remove the tub, put a shower in, move the toilet, new floor, lighting, everything. Area was totally cleaned at the end of every day. Each step of the remodel was done by a different crew that specialized in that area. Workers were very polite, professional and a delight to talk with. Communication was great and daily updates was given via email as well as the website.
