SOD builders deserves high praise. They converted my 1950's style master bathroom disaster into a tasteful, meticulously finished room. All their employees are very skilled in their specialties and a pleasure to work with. In particular, Eran, the project manager on this job, energetically coordinated the work to maintain momentum, quickly solved some design problems that arose, and was very responsive to all questions and requests. Francisco is a true artist with tile, and Mario, a working supervisor, seems to be an expert on many aspects of the work. They all did a terrific job, minimized the impact on the rest of the house by paying great attention to keeping things very clean, and completed the job almost on schedule, which I'm told is very rare. While the cost was not the lowest available, their skill, professionalism, and energy justified the cost by making the process relatively worry-free, and the result better than expected.

No construction work is started yet. So far, the estimate process went well. I will update this review when I have more information.

Loved Eran Drori; we actually chose to work with SOD because we liked him the best out of the people who provided us with estimates for the work we wanted. There were some unexpected delays and complications, but Eran worked very hard to make us happy with the end result.

If I would have to describe in writing about our experience with SOD Builders construction, there would not be enough words in this space to say all the good things about them. The owners Oren, Eli, Roy and their employees went beyond and above of what we expected. We found them to be extremely professional, reliable, honest, curious, trustworthy, respectful, friendly and delivering what they have promised and more. All our friends hate their contractors, WE LOVE OURS. Every single trade of the job, and there were many of them, was handled and crafted as best as it can be. We are very specific in what we wanted; with sod you'll get the product you have imagined. We feel that we were lucky to have found them to operate on our project. Oren was very accurate, accommodating and precise from start to finish, we could tell right away of his tremendous experience in the construction industry. Eran, the project manager, was a pleasure to work with and addressed our questions in a professional, timely manner during the bidding and construction phases. Quality of the work is first rate and crews cleaned up at the end of each day, allowing us to live in our home for most of the process. Work was performed for the quoted amount and on schedule.

Owner was very knowledgeable And offered many ideas. Needed true architect drawings to get made before getting an accurate quote but I got a decent quote anyway. They have great follow up as well. Nice guy. Will update more if he does the work.

Great experience with the entire team. Very responsive and large crew present daily. The timeline was tight due to pregnancy and the team worked all weekends to make sure the project was complete by the baby's arrival. Work was very high quality and finishes were done nicely. Crew came back multiple time to make sure everything was perfect.

From day 1 these guys were amazing. They kept our old kitchen alive which allowed us live normally while the work progressed. The team functioned like clockwork, demolition and framing in the first week, inspections passed, electrical and plumbing in the second week, inspections passed. Drywall and flooring, cabinets, stone, tile all completed in 8 weeks. Super polite and friendly crew, left the site spotless at the end of each day. Eran ran the job perfectly, always available for questions, updated me with progress daily and went the extra mile on the details as if he was building his own kitchen. No hidden charges they delivered what they promised ( and more ) for the price we agreed on. If you are going get any remodeling work done take time to talk with these guys.

I am extremely pleased with the job that SOD Builders did for me: a full kitchen remodel, including a complete gut and redesign of the room. The quality of their work was top-notch, the workers were always professional, respectful, and friendly. In particular, SOD's designer was very helpful in bringing my vision to life. No project of this magnitude is completely glitch free, but SOD was very responsive to my every request. This is not a contractor you have to worry about deserting you mid-job. The answer to the ultimate question "Would I hire them again for other work?" is "Absolutely". Though it took a bit longer than I would have liked to complete the job, in the end I couldn't be happier with the results. I will enjoy this space for decades to come.

We were extremely happy with all of the work done. Oren and his team were responsive to questions and concerns. Despite a few ordering delays the project was completed on a timely manner. SOD builders does not offer the cheapest remodeling. However the quality of work is well worth it. In addition trusting that the people working in your house are on the up in up is a comforting feeling. We were so happy with the bathroom we are in the middle of our kitchen remodel right now. I would recommend them for any project that you have.

Excellent work quality and customer service! We are absolutely happy that we chose SOD to do the work, as they exceeded all our expectations. I hardly ever write completely positive reviews, and I am always suspicious of those, but SOD Builders truly deserve the highest praise. The initial estimate we received was fair and comprehensive, and the advice regarding what's possible and what's going to look better was really helpful. All crews that worked on different parts of our house were always on time, very professional, highly respectful of our space, and just truly nice guys to deal with. The quality of work was top notch; not just "done right", but completed to the highest standards. And whenever we changed some details or added new ideas, they were more than accommodating of our wishes and managed to turn our rough visions into a beautiful reality. All SOD employees were always very responsive, clear and honest in their communication with us. We feel that the "price-to-quality of work" ratio was really favorable for us. We also liked the fact that everyone involved in the project: the owner, the coordinator, the workers really cared that we were satisfied with each step of the project. Before we started the remodel, we were prepared for some of the usual issues one would expect to happen during construction, such as long delays or technical obstacles, but there were none! SOD guys dealt with everything in a timely manner and without any hassle to us. I think it's challenging enough to find a contractor that can deliver high quality work and true craftsmanship, but to find one that values customer service so highly is a real luck, and that's how we feel about SOD. We're already planning to hire SOD Builders for the next home improvement projects on our list and we recommend their services to all of our friends without any hesitation.

The SOD Builders are probably the worst that had. He came on time. Their follow up in emailing and staff are a little wonderful but just the amount of time the guy came out to actually bid on the bathroom I think he charged a thousand dollars for every minute he was out there. "I'm just right here. Let me bid on your bathroom. I'm here 10 minutes, probably $10." It was kind of a weird experience with that company. It was not a big bathroom that I'm having redone and I don't think he even really measured anything. He was out there literally 10 minutes and in the proposal that he send me, it looks like something that they stopped proposal that I used and he just kind of cut and paste a few little bits of what he was going to do on mine into this subcontractor and my job that was in there. I was just like, "Okay.'' I would not use this provider again in the future.

they were quick to respond to our request for a bid. Daniel worked with our schedule and visited our home and walked through our request for work. He then got back to us promptly with a bid for the work and discussed that we would purchase the tile for the job. He went over what they would do and what we would need to make sure we had (dishwasher,sink etc) what they would need to complete the job. after we accepted the bid, Daniel came back out to make sure we were clear on the scope of the work and time table for completion. They worked with us to find dates that would work to start the project. During the project they stayed in communication with us. As change work came up they were quick to contact me and make sure we knew our options and would approve before they did anything. They made sure we were 100% satisfied prior to them leaving the job. Everyone was nice and professional (from those at the office to the actual work crews). My only regret is that we didnt "hire" them through Angie's list to receive the discounted rate that is offered on here. Overall they did great work and we are highly satisfied. the rating of "B" for the price wasnt compared to other bids, just that the work was very costly overall.

Their reviews are really great. Their pricing is expensive even for the Peninsula area California. The representative was extremely professional and I felt very comfortable with the individual, however, the estimate was just way out of the goal for.

Each craftsman that was sent to the house was knowledgeable, polite and completed their task as promised. The maple floors are beautiful and all painting meticulous. The tile was a little tricky as we replaced the trim tiles only. This meant the tiles needed to be carefully removed to avoid breaking the remaining tile. Before re-grouting, he took the extra care needed to remove and prep the existing grout. We are more than pleased with their work and would use them again.

They started on time had very few delays and finished a few days later than anticipated. The communication was great. They apprised about scheduling and the scheduling was firm. He did what he said he would do. The workers were professionals and did a very good job. I am pleased with the outcome and would use them again. UPDATE: I wanted to add to my previous review, I am so pleased with the follow-up and the final end product. My bathroom is beautiful, I love the fact that the workers protected the floors and used special zip doors to keep the ever present construction dust under control. Living in a reno can be difficult. The crew would take time to explain what they were doing and at the end of the work day they would clean up and vacuum as they left. I must say that the quality of the workmanship is excellent, they exceeded my expectations. After the work was finished Eran, the project manager contacted with me a few days ago to find out if there were any touch up items noticed. It's that type of service that will make me think of them when I have more work done.

The limestone, hardwood floor, and slate ledger stone work was of very high quality. We had gotten 5 other bids for the work, but no other contractor would do all of the required work at a reasonable price. There was one mistake. Cement was applied to one of the fireplaces directly to painted bricks prior to the stucco coat. The cement did not stick since the brick was not properly prepared. In a few days it began to separate, crack, and come off in pieces. All of the old cement had to be removed, the painted brick of the fireplace properly prepared by extensive chipping on the painted bricks. Then a Foamtek product was re-applied and it adhered. This resulted in a week of delays to the original schedule. We gave SOD builders a "fair" rating for punctuality because there were some problems scheduling workers and getting them to our project. SOD has their workers busy on several projects simultaneously. There were a few days when particular workers were expected to do work but did not come. There was one day when no workers arrived. No one called to explain their absence. This resulted in us staying at the house several hours, expecting someone to come that never shows up. We called the local representative and found out that the expected crew was not available for a few days. We exchanged emails with the company owner Oren about our complaints and after that the scheduling and communication were much improved. Also, to compensate us for the problems experienced, the SOD crew performed some ceiling repair for us at no cost. Overall we had a good experience with SOD Builders and would consider using them again.

They were fine and very professional. We hope to receive the estimate any day now.

They were very responsive to my request for a quote

We were extremely impressed with SOD. We originally chose them based on good reviews, and the fact that their bid was lower than the others we got. We've done a number of construction projects over the years, and they did the best work and were the easiest to work with of any of our contractors. We were very happy with the quality of their work, especially the tile-work. There was no re-work; everything was done right the first time. Everyone on the project seemed to really care that we be happy with the results. Small changes (like changing the shower height) were accommodated at no cost. Larger changes (like adding a drain clean-out) were charged. They were very good about keeping us informed of when something was going to happen, like an inspection or the tile guy starting work. If we had a question, we could call the project manager at any time or leave a message on the project website, and we always got an answer the same day. Most mornings the project manager or Oren (one of the owners) came by to see how things were going and if we had any questions. They were very good about cleaning up at the end of each day, and at the end of the project. Access to the bathroom and storage of materials was in the back yard. We asked them to be careful of the garden, and not a single plant was damaged. Total cost was almost exactly what was bid (we had a couple of small change orders). Total time was longer than planned, mainly because we provided all the fixtures and tiles, and there were major delays in getting some of them. The total amount of time they worked on the project was longer than they originally estimated, but it was not serious. We would definitely use them again.

The workers were on time and came with all tools needed to remove existing windows and sliding door. They expected 2 days for completion. Old windows were removed, glass cleaned up from surrounding area and new windows all installed. They were very professional and used drop cloths to ensure not to track in any additional debris inside the house.

Things went fast and Oren was a good manager, people came promptly and worked extremely quickly. The quality of the materials were good, but the quality of the workmanship could've been a little better. For example, the glass itself is great, but the silicone seal between the panels are a bit messy and missing in one area entirely. They also left fingerprints on the outsides of the glass which will be hard for me to clean since this is the outward loft area on the second floor. The door workmanship is mostly great except for the fact that the new door stand a bit higher than all the other doors in the upstairs area, and the doorknob was poorly matched. I'm also a little miffed that the people who were finding the door to match our place tried to sell me on an easier to find design, saying that if I was going to be pickier it would be a custom order taking 2-3 weeks. I refused to compromise with an unmatched door, and eventually they found the right one, but I didn't appreciate the pressure placed on me. Oren offered to send someone out to re-match the doorknob, which was appreciated, but it never happened. These oversights in quality gives my overall experience a solid B- rating.

I have called them several times. Each time the receptionist tells me someone will call me. They have yet to do so and I have given up. Major F F F!!! In response to vendor: I most definitely called your place of business. I know how to dial phone numbers and consistently called your phone number with receptionist saying someone will call me back never to hear from anyone from your company. I can probably call again now and get the same run around. Please apologize and don't make it sound like I can't dial a phone number. Thanks.

I am so pleased with the work that SOD did on our master bath. They took an extremely dilapidated bathroom and turned it into a spa-like oasis for us. They worked quickly and adapted to a few changes we wanted to make without any fuss. Oren really cares about his customers and their satisfaction, and it shows. I've come to think of him as a friend. Michele, the designer, really helped us make some important decisions on tile and vanity design. Hector and Mario, the foremen, were great as well and very accommodating. These guys deliver what they promise, and they do it on time and on budget. They were courteous, left the house spotless at the end of the day, and really tried not to disrupt our household (we have 2 young kids to work around). Great company to work with, and highly recommended.

I could not be happier with the performance of SOD Builders! We had a full renovation of a our Master Bathroom. We had a small plumbing problem that was going to require some work, and because I had hated our bathroom space so much, we decided to start from scratch! I had VERY specific design ideas and from my initial meeting with Daniel Levi all the way through the end of the project, the entire team was very aware and accommodating to my precise requests. I am an extremely demanding person with very strong opinions, and was very concerned with picking a contracting partner. After several interviews and reference checks, I really felt the most comfortable with SOD builders. I will say they were not the lowest bid, but I knew I wanted a job well done, and felt this company was my best choice. One of my favorite people in the world quickly became Hector Torres! I really don't know how he put up with me. I changed my mind on the tile after it arrived, and had to stall the project while I waited for new tile. SOD did not miss a beat and was able to accommodate the new schedule (thanks Adi!). Hector was constantly in communication with me and always available for updates and questions. I need to add that I was rarely home during this process and that the work took place in the busy and hectic month of December, right through Christmas. Everything went better than expected! I had full trust in the team Hector brought in, and never worried once that they would not "get it right". SOD referred me when needed to an amazing plumber, and glass company for the shower (MD Glass). Any issue that came up, SOD was quick to remedy. There were very few throughout the project, and all were immediately addressed. The project came in on time, and without going over my overall budget. The bathroom is gorgeous, and everyday I am happy with the outcome. I am considering some work in my Kitchen and would 110% use SOD again! Thank you especially to Hector and Daniel and Adi.
