Eric was punctual and very professional. When he saw our pool, he said he would not replace the mastic, as our real issue was the degradation of our pool deck. He explained in detail what he could see as the problems with our deck and drainage, and explained that if we had the mastic replaced by anyone, it would only last a year or so, as the shifting of our concrete slab deck would continue to pull the mastic away. Eric was very honest and up-front about not only the services his company provides, but he also spent a good amount of time explaining what was wrong with our pool, what materials we should consider using when we replace the pool deck, and other issues we should be aware of. I was very impressed with his honesty and appreciated his explanations. Eric took time to clarify our pool situation even though he knew we could not hire him for the the work we needed done. Should we need pool repairs that his company does provide, we will be sure to give him a call.

It was easy to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and do the assessment. If you already know what the problem is, then they send someone out to reconfirm for no charge but if you want someone to diagnose the problem, it'll cost you. The guy that they sent out was on time, polite, professional and knowledgeable. There was no pushiness to make a decision right away which I appreciate. Overall, I would use them again.

Sterling Pools was great to work with. They came out to give us a free estimate on replacing our solar roof heating and also to add a gas heater. They gave us lots of useful info during the estimate about hot to take care of stuff in general. This included noting that we'd need to get our gas meter upgraded to get a gas heater for the pool. We decided to go with the gas heater option and just fix our solar roof heating ourselves. It took about a month to get the city to upgrade the gas meter. We then contacted Sterling Pools again and they honored the same estimate. They were able to get the heater and install it within about a week of faxing back the signed contract. When they came to do the install, we really wanted the heater on our existing concrete pad. These guys were great. They rearranged various other pumps and equipment on the pad in order to make it fit. It makes a huge difference in how our backyard looks and we really appreciate that they were willing to work with us on that. Their heater recommendation was great. It's made swimming so much more inviting. They were very responsive. I would definitely call them again.

Sterling Pool was very easy to deal with. They gave a frank appraisal of my pool equipment which was due for replacement. They took the time to answer all my questions and gave me the guidance I need to maintain the pool going forward, in particular, how to manage the new variable speed pump. I was very happy with the timeliness of the work and the care exercised in performing it. They will get my call for the next service I require.

I called Sterling shortly after we bought our new house to have them come out and assess the pool for safety. Their representative came out as promised and delivered a very thorough assessment of our situation. He was even familiar with the water quality and hardness in our neighborhood and gave me a great overall picture of what we had and what we should do. Subsequently we replaced two pool pumps. That work also went very well and the end result was very positive. Our most recent two projects with Sterling have been to install a new pool control system (with a wireless controller, which has been a great addition to the system) and a pool cover. Both projects were as quoted and on time.

Eric @ Sterling Pool is a very knowledgeable individual. He came by right on time and provided his opinion on the current state of the pool. We recently purchased a new house and the previous owner neglected the pool. The pool's Acid levels were far too high, and provided some options on how to resolve the issue. Ended up pumping out the pool completely. Did not pressure me into buying anything, and waved the pool orientation fee. I will return to Sterling pool once I resolve my other issues with the pool, and will most likely use them in the future when I choose to replace my inefficient pump.

The experience overall was very good and the service was on point.

They came out as scheduled, gave me a quote, ordered the part and called when the part came in and rescheduled the installation. Again, they arrived on time, finished the installation and did not leave a mess. I owned a service company a few years ago and know what this evaluation means to a company. Called and Eric came out and gave me an estimate for both an initial service refurb of the unit and also an estimate for a weekly maintenance service. Tech returned at requested time and performed cleaning and setup.

Ye has provided lots of information and suggestions regarding our pool that needs a remodel. We buy all our pool supplies at Sterling.

Diagnosed electrical problem with spa. Provided an estimate and prompt timeline to repair. Suggested helpful idea for improving access. Ordered the required part and installed it successfully. Tested to make sure it all worked and did a great overall job. We are delighted to have found such a great spa repair guy. Price was also very reasonable.

Eric had worked with us before on the filter switch board and he always goes the extra mile to help with related swimming pool issues. Sergio was the technician who repiped and installed the new filter (which works like a charm) and he was, as are all Sterling employees, courteous and knowledgeable. They even offered (humane) advice on keeping the ducks away! All in all, we couldn't ask for a better swimming pool service.

He came out and put together an estimate, which was spot-on...no surprise charges at the end. He waived his hourly fee for the estimate when we booked the repair. I have never had a repair/maintenance job go as well as this one did. He gave us the estimate, with choices of replacement panel. We chose the model we wanted and he estimated when the parts would arrive. They came sooner than he thought, and we and we were back in business in a matter of a couple of days. I will ALWAYS use this company, if given a choice.

Experience was really good. They contacted me right away, came out the following day to review what my problem was, ordered my new filter and had it installed the next day. They came back the next day and showed me how to maintain the system and then cleaned the pool. Within 3 days my pool was completely turned around. Everyone I dealt with was really helpful. I will call them again for any issues I might have, they really were great to work with. Thank you!!!

Prompt replies to all phone calls. They had to postpone once because of rain (do not want anyone walking around on a slippery roof!). Punctual and did an excellent job. Technicians were unobtrusive and efficient. They kept us informed of progress and let us know of issues right away. There were additional items that had to be installed with the pump and filter and the owner himself (!!) called to explain additional items and costs. Overall an easy, quality experience. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone!

Homar arrived on time and talked to me about any particular concerns or repairs. He noticed right away that the motor had burned out and that we must have had some electrical event because the circuit breaker had tripped. He did the rest of the service, but he could not complete the mechanical check until the motor was replaced. Sterling ordered the replacement motor the same day and replaced the motor the next day. We were very pleased with the speed. Once the new motor was installed, they completed the service check. We only lost a day. These guys have always been professional, thorough, honest and straight-forward. They also anticipate problems before they happen, which for a pool-owner is the key to minimizing expensive repairs. They also let me know when some particular work that I ask about is not needed. I initially found them on Angies List, and I'm grateful to my list mates for the recommendation.

One of my issues with all of this was; I felt like I was comparing apples to oranges because they were all differently set out for me. He seemed very sure of what I needed.

We spend on a monthly basis. He is excellent and he is very dependable. I don't have any complaints at all. They take care of everything. They have somebody who comes out and makes sure that everything is right.

I was so impressed with the individuals I met, their processes, attention to detail, and professionalism that I signed them up to be my weekly service team--and I have never seen the pool water look better in the 25 years I've lived in this house. They been handling the pool for several months now, their work is excellent, and I'm happy to be out of the personal pool maintenance business. Their monthly rate includes all of the chemicals I previously had to purchase and handle, and their knowledge and attention more than compensates for the cost.

I was very impressed with the service professional sent by Sterling. He was on time for our scheduled appointment, very organized in his approach and cleaned up after himself. I also found the custoemr service on the phone quite helpful as well.

The salesperson was on time for the initial and follow-up appointments, took as much time as I needed to appropriately understand the issues and possible solutions, and scheduled the work promptly. The work was performed on time and in a neat an professional manner. The relocation of the pool pump motor required moving the solar system pipes and making conduit holes through a pool utility closet wall. All work was done at a high level, was neat and cleaned up afterward. The salesperson then returned (at my request) to fully explain the operation of the new pump. I have also been using the store for water analysis and chemical supplies. The salesperson at the store consistently supplies me with more than ample information and instruction. I highly recommend Sterling Pool...just wish they did replastering work!

I love Angie's list because it helps me find vendors like Sterling. I called another company (outside of Angie's) and got the run-around and overpriced bid. Called Sterling and they showed up the next day. I just bought a new house and have never taken care of a hot tub. The drained and cleaned it. When it stopped heating, they diagnosed the problem and had it up and running within days with a new relay. They are so good that I am having them do weekly servicing. One less thing to worry about.
