RAPID PLUMBING INC

I wasn t happy. They made great big holes in the wall which are going to be really hard to patch. I called them to complain and they never called me back. There is a pipe sticking out of the wall, it s not flush with the wall, they should have taken it out. They didn t put some of the things back where they were, things like caps over bolts. Another thing I pointed out to them when they redid the water supply in the front yard was they forgot to put the tap in. They were sloppy. They did do this work in a timely manner. They made it so that my dad was not without water overnight. They were supposed to fix one leak, but didn t, it s leaking again. I will not be calling them again and I would not use them again.

Clogged drains are part of this house's personality so we've had various experiences with plumbers over the past fifteen years. This one was quite positive. We called and the office gave us a four-hour time frame, then called back, and asked if they could come early! When Beto arrived, he put on shoe covers before coming in, shook our hands, and got right to work. He told us it was going to take a cable machine to clear the drain, gave us our estimate, and then spent most of the rest of his time on his hands and knees wrestling with that drain. By the time it was over, he had not only pulled out a lot of hair, but a metal key, some kind of plumbers tool that tightens gasket seals on pipes. It had apparently been there since the pipes were installed. No wonder this house has such a "personality." At any rate, he was unfailingly professional even when our children got underfoot, worked quickly, and stuck to his estimate. It seemed expensive to my husband, but I'm glad that the shower's working. Sharing the kid's bathroom was not an appealing option.

The tech tried for about 1/2 hour to clear the line, and was not successful. He called his office once for help. The tech suggested that I really needed the "jet" treatment ($400) or should have the pipe relined ($3300). He suggested that I really did not want to fix the problem when I refused these suggestions. He did not appear to be particularly adept at using the power snake. He stated that in his old job the house would have been "red tagged" because the sewer was inoperative. I called another plumber and the blockage was cleared in 5 minutes. Rapid Plumbing, Inc. bought out AAA Plumbing (they had a skunk as their logo) and it appears to have ruined the company. I have sent letters of complaint to the Rapid Plumbing corporate office and to the BBB.

Leak occurrerd during Labor Day weekend. We tried fixing it ourselves, but failed. No one on Angie's List was available, all calls went to answering machine. I looked in the Burlingame Yellow Pages and went down the list. Two companies I called did not know what a bidet was and hence, they could not work on one. I described the bidet as just like a faucet, but without success. Rapid Plumbing's ad said they would respond 24-7 within an hour. Not only did they know what a bidet was, the dispatcher called before the hour was up to say that his plumber would be there in a half hour. The plumber himself called and confirmed the time. He said we were on the right track, but didn't have the right tools. He fixed the leak in a half hour.
