Phong Ngo

We used Phong Bo to replace both of our lawns and clear out a lot of old landscape. He did very well with that. He does not do regular maintenance, this was a one time job. We wanted him to redo the yard. There was a lot of work involved. He had to take out a lot of tree roots and repair water lines - which always get broken when you do any digging! He took out some really big hedges, and there was a lot of stuff that had overgrown so he took that out as well. We did the planting ourselves. He was pretty easy to work with. He got everything done, and did it in a good timely manner. The lawns look really really good. He improved some of the watering system in the front lawn, as well as all the lines that were damaged. There was no fuss about the repairs either. I think it was a really really good price.

I contacted Phong during the week of August 22nd and he responded within one day. He provided an original oral estimate and followed up with a written quote. He commenced work on September 7th and completed the landscaping on September 16th. He had an excellent sense of what would be required to make the yard appealing but also low maintenance. He listened to what I wanted in terms of a finished product and in reference to the type of plants, but purchased all plants and materials . The sprinkler system is the first that I have had in many years that is effective. The final product is exceptionally attractive, which I look forward to enjoying for many years. I am having Phong do maintenance on a biweekly basis and anticipate that it will be up to the same standard.

We hired him for ongoing landscaping services. He asked for $120 per month for weekly maintenance, and $250 for the first time, since the trees in our front yard and back yard needed trimming according to him. When I asked why so much, he specifically called out the trees in the backyard since they were touching the house and antenna and said they needed to be cut back, lowered, and thinned out so they look good. He also said trees in the front needed to be thinned. He said that it would be necessary for a team of his people to come and work for a whole day, which was why he needed to charge more for the first time.To our shock the first day only one person came, who refused to do any tree trimming at first, and then claimed that only one tree was included.We told them if they only planned to do maintenance and no initial tree trimming that they would only be paid the weekly maintenance fee and not the tree trimming fee. At this point they just took off, leaving our yard a mess with yard waste everywhere for us to clean up.Never before in our lives have we been in a situation where we hired someone to cleanup and left a bigger mess than they started with.THEY LIED AND REFUSE TO HONOR DEALS ALREADY MADE, I would never do business with them ...

I just let him go to it after I express my thoughts to him. He never disappoints. And I trust him.

His estimate was good. He came on time and suggested a lot of great things for my backyard. That's the difference between a good landscaper and a junior varsity landscaper. His suggestions made a big difference in the look of the final product, which was great. I spent less on a less-qualified person and they didn't fix my problems in the end = wasted money. Phong Vo is an experienced professional. I don't think you can go wrong with him.

We had Phong do an initial clean up for our front and backyard. He and another came early in the morning and worked for the bulk of the day. It made a huge difference.

They had a pretty cheap quote.

He goes above and beyond. He has designed a beautiful garden for me, and I am so grateful that I can get away with what he has created for me.

It went very well. Phong and his son arrived on time. They did approximately 3 1/2 hours of work. I was very satisfied with the end result. I will have them come on a monthly basis so that my back does not turn back into the jungle that it was.

He's a wonderful gardener. He sends his little team out and they do a wonderful job. He gives me a good price and he does extra wonderful things for me. He does plants for me when I ask him to do something a little extra. They not only cut the grass, they prune things and they cut my bamboo. I think you'd really have to persuade a gardener to do these extra things and I'd probably get charged, but I don't get charged for these things. It's part of his service.

His work is beautiful. He is very professional and I can't recommend him highly enough. His rates are extremely reasonable.

He has landscaped my courtyard as well as my front and back yards. He's not expensive and he's very very good.
