+ 5 moreKraft Design did not complete job in two weeks but instead took 8 weeks. Contractor used the cheapest materials and installed them with poor attention to detail. Kraft design over promised and under delivered. Next, he painted my house the wrong color and wanted a lot of money up front and his estimate went up by 20% in the middle of the job. At the end of the job, I had to hire my own handyman to finish where he left the job incomplete and where the installation was poor. Be very careful when dealing with this 'slick' contractor.
Description of Work: Contractor Larry Grady at Kraft Design used all subcontracts to install new electrical, new copper plumbing, drywall repairs, pergo floors, new granite countertops, bath wall tile.

+ -1 moreI HAVE USED KRAFT DESIGN BUILD FOR CONSTRUCTION REMODEL PROJECTS ON MY HOME FOR OVER 10 YEARS (OVER $100,000 OF PROJECTS). IN ADDITION TO ANDERSEN SLIDER DOORS & BAY WINDOWS, BATHROOMS, DRAINAGE, HOT-MOPPING OF FOUNDATION WALLS, DECKS, CHILD'S BEDROOM, WINDOWS, MASTER BEDROOM, & OTHER PROJECTS, HE ALSO INSTALLED A SUMP PUMP FOR ME. HE HAS COME BACK TWICE TO CLEAN OUT THE PUMP & INSTALL HIGHER END MODELS AT NO COST. OUR BASEMENT GARAGE IS DRY AS A BONE NOW, THROUGH ALL OF LAST WINTER'S STORMS. BOTTOM LINE: JOE DOES FANTASTIC WORK, ALWAYS ON TIME, ALWAYS ON BUDGET, & GUARANTEES HIS WORK FOR YEARS (EVEN IN THIS CASE OF THE WINDOW, WHERE THE ORIGINAL CONTRACTOR WALKED OFF THE JOB).
Description of Work: I ASKED JOE KRAFT TO FINISH INSTALLING A WINDOW THAT ANOTHER CONTRACTOR LEFT UNFINISHED 2 YEARS AGO (JOE WAS SO BUSY AT THE TIME, THAT I USED A SPECIAL WINDOW CONTRACTOR JUST TO GET THIS ONE SMALL JOB DONE). JOE FINISHED THE WINDOW JOB FOR ME, REPAIRED THE WATER DAMAGE TO THE SILL INSIDE, RE-DID STUCCO OUTSIDE, & THEN CAME BACK ON MY REQUEST LAST WINTER WHEN THE WINDOW LEAKED. HE HAD HIS MAN REDO THE FLASHING & THE STUCCO ON THE BAY WINDOW ABOVE, JUST IN CASE THAT WAS THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. HE DID THIS FREE OF CHARGE. HE WILL REDO THE ENTIRE 2-STORY WALL OF STUCCO, IF NECESSARY, AT COST.
