JUST IN TIME PLUMBING

Two guys showed up and did a good job cleaning up the space and replacing the water heater with a new one. It was pretty straight forward and I went to Home Depot and bought new flex connectors for the gas and water to bring it up to code. I was surprised when they said 8:30a start, they were at my door step at 8:25a waiting to get started. I would get a quote before starting as it would have been better getting the quote in advance. I think the price was a little high for a straightforward replacement at $600 and then we wanted to add a pan and drain to bring up to code and that accounted for the additional $168.49.

Justin has performed two jobs for me now, both related to blocked drains. Each time he has arrived when he said he would, done the work quickly and cheerfully, and charged what I would consider to be very fair prices. Our house is old and we have teenagers so drains tend to block up frequently. I plan to have Justin do some "real plumbing" soon (replace faucets) and will report back after he has done the work. I expect to be pleased. With regards to "Responsiveness", Justin does good work for a reasonable rate so if you use his web site form, he may not get back to you the same day. If you have an emergency, I recommend calling. Now that I know this, I'm fine with it (I just didn't realize this the first time around).

Justin and his helper showed up on time as promised, did the work quickly and with a friendly smile. This is the fourth time I've used Justin and I've been happy each time. The prior three times he (a) installed two toilets, (b) fixed a loose faucet in my bathroom and (c) installed an earthquake gas shut-off valve. Justin is my go-to plumber and I'll use him every time I have a need.

Justin is a really nice guy, but did not meet expectations. He agreed to make repairs, but didn't take the specs of the parts before he left. I photographed them and sent to him. Photographs were lost, I wasn't told until I followed up, and I resent. Didn't call back to follow up with a date after parts were received, I had to call and ask if they had come in and ask again to schedule the repair. I asked to look at another repair - he did a quick and dirty fix without discussing the options with me, and it worked for a couple of months. I would have paid for the proper repair, had I know what it was. (And I did, later.)

Justin the plumber was thorough and quite professional, and in the end suggested we engage another plumbing expert who works on these particular water heater systems. I was very impressed that he made the decision to not only defer to another professional, but also spent the time on the phone with his suppliers asking for recommendations. In the meantime he localized the issue, AND came by to meet with the recommended expert and provided a review of the work he had completed thus reducing the need for a bunch of repeat testing, etc....

I have always had good experiences with Justin, but he is not as knowledgeable as a high-end plumber. He is not a high-end plumber. I chose him because he does know some of my family members. He charged me about $50 an hour or probably for half an hour. He wasn’t here for very long. He was here only for a few minutes. He didn’t fix the thing that was broken and it is broken again. I have a spray nozzle kind of fixture on my bathtub. You pull up a lever and the spray nozzle starts to work. The lever was broken and nothing happened when I pulled up the lever. So the spray nozzle didn't work and it is still not working. It is probably not his fault. There was a lot of stuff that he had to do with it to get it to work like he had to do some tile work and things like that. He doesn’t do tile work and taking things apart. So he temporarily fixed it and he said that is all he could do. It wasn’t a thing where he was totally incompetent, but it wasn’t something that he did. He also didn’t want to go and do it. His price was fair. I would probably use him for smaller jobs in the future.

Initially I thought I could do this myself but I soon learned the valves were so heavily calcified that I didn't know what I was doing. Justin came in and took care of the problem on time on budget and made me wish I had just called him in the first place rather than trying it myself. From now on I will call Justin for all my plumbing needs.

It was a great experience. After being burned by one or two plumbers in the past this was a refreshing experience. Justin was great when I called and Matt was very quick, friendly, and skilled. They were upfront and honest. I will definitely call them next time I need something that is plumbing related.

He was very responsive to our phone calls and he came out very punctually. His prices seem very fair and the quality of his work was good. I would recommend him.

It was a great experience, they arrived on time, communicated very thoroughly what needed to be done and got the jobs done promptly. They cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant to have in my home (and I was comfortable to have my kids around them as well). I had been very hesitant to call out a plumber (hence the multiple repairs needed to be done) because I was worried I'd be ripped off as a single woman. These guys are very honest and trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to them in a heartbeat and to use them again if the need arises.

They did a good job on everything. They were fairly-priced and it was easy to schedule with them when other companies said they had no time to come out right away. I would definitely recommend them to others.
