J & M Termite Control was established by Jim in 1973. For more than 40 years, we have been in the business of providing quality termite inspection, eradication and repair services. J & M Termite Control is a family owned business and prides itself on shopping local for all of our products and materials. Our coverage area includes Alameda, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. J & M spends very little on marketing, and instead relies upon our strong reputation and word of mouth: referrals from real estate agents, property managers, homeowners who are pleased with our performance.

Description of Work: They sent out an inspector that was very professional to completely inspect our entire dwelling. Did a very professional job. Even discovered a leak that we did not know about under our sink and recommended a plumbing company that did come out and repair that. They gave us all the information that we needed to successfully prepare for the tenting and were most helpful with all our questions. They successfully tented our house over a weekend and were extra careful about our plants and bushes around our exterior. They did an excellent job.

Description of Work: Contacted them on two occasions requesting their contact/services. Someone was available at the phone number given 24hrs a day over the following two weeks after each attempt to make contact. (Home has two retired individuals and myself, I happen to be disabled and leave the house rarely.) Doesn't much matter how "good" a service provider is portrayed if they will not return contacts...

Description of Work: Termite treatment via tenting our house and subterranian termintes. This is the second time we used them (30 years ago). We had another quote request from Terminex. They came out but did not followup with a quote until we called them back. Prices terminex gave were comparable but negative references on yelp helped change our mind.

Description of Work: Performed a very thorough Inspection. Did not push termite control, but did point out some areas where small infestation occured. We took care of these on our own. While they have ties to termite control company's it does not seem to reflect their objuectivity. Pretty happy with them. There was some confusion on the price as they give a discount if you pay on the day the services are performed.
