+ -1 moreDuane did an outstanding job for us. He assessed our electrical situation and advised us on what the priorities were in terms of safety and legality (building codes). His prices were extremely fair and reasonable. He was very conscientious of cost and he presented options to choose from regarding the timing of projects and how fancy we wanted to do things. He arrived when he said he would and worked hard to finish within a reasonable time frame. He was terrific with both the electrical work and the associated permits. We felt very confident in his knowledge and expertise and we really appreciated the time he took to explain what he was doing and why. (He would be a great teacher!) There were a couple of minor things he needed to re-work and he responded to our calls immediately to take care of them. It has been a year since his work was completed and we have not had a single problem with anything he did. We found Duane to be honest and trustworthy, smart and experienced, and a very nice person to work with. And to boot, he got along great with our dogs, goats, and other critters. We have some additional electrical improvements we want to do and we absolutely will hire Duane for the job.
Description of Work: In mid 2010, we purchased a 45-year-old home that had some very funky electrical work throughout. Over the years, it appears that different people had run wires, spliced, and jury-rigged additions in a variety of manner. This is rural property which also has a barn that had very out-dated wiring. Duane re-wired much of the house and garage in order to greatly improve its safety. He also upgraded or installed outlets, and removed/replaced some "mystery wiring". He installed a completely new electrical panel on the outside of the house and shepherded the County approval process for it. He also installed indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets on our barn and built a better electrical casing for our water pressure tank. Basically, he inspected and improved or installed everything electrical on the property.

+ 0 moreI have now known Duane Titus for several years and have contracted him for electrical jobs on my small farm including wiring up the water well and some remote solar panels. He was quick to provide estimates, was able to complete the jobs under costs, and pointed out other areas that needed attention. He has also done work for the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Reserve and they were also pleased, especially with his quick and courteous responses. I also had the pleasure of working with Duane in the Gulf for the BP oil spill where he was instrumental in setting up and wiring the equipment needed for the wildlife rehabilitation centers. He is knowledgeable, not just in electrical and solar panel work but also in other construction areas. He gives you your money's worth and is a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Wiring run in conduit ~200 feet to well, replacing breakers etc., 2 remote solar panel powered cameras with network equipment and several trouble calls both for house and work.
