Paul took care of the problem very quickly. Quite happy with his work.

He was very responsive and he kept me (450 miles away) informed of what was going on. He dealt directly with my real estate agent and she was very happy with him

Paul was a little late, but he called to let us know he is running behind schedule. Once at the house, he got right to work, did what he had to do, discussed our options, and fixed the deck issues. He is very polite and professional and I believe his rates to be very competitive.

Such a nice and candid individual! On time, great work, comfortable interactions and great work. He was able to remove an item from my shower that 4 prior handymen were unable to; to see if he can replace the rubber base. He made it look so simple! We've had a bad go at Handymen since moving to SLO last year and such a shame... But Paul... <sigh> brings great faith and great work! Thank you for having him as one of your referred companies.

He is excellent and always on time. He is like a jack of all trades and has done a few different services for us.

Paul was on time and prepared to do the work. He installed a light fixture and fixed a couple of other problems that were occurring with other electrical fixtures and outlets. I have also used Paul for plumbing work and he was fast and thorough. I am very pleased with his work.

Paul has done several repairs for us and he is always helpful, courteous, and his prices are fair.

This guy is the best. Very personable, talked me through what he was going to do, then told me what might fix it at no cost. Paul is the best.

Installing the mailbox went fine. He did a great job and we were very pleased. Due to this we had another repair job on a door to be done. He took part of the molding to match and said he would return. Several weeks went by and we didn't hear from him. I emailed and he said he was still looking to match the molding. More weeks went by and I emailed him again. He suggested a place for us to continue a search on our own. He never returned the piece of molding. This review is difficult to do as Mr. Emrick did do a nice job with the mailbox. We were disappointed he didn't contact us saying that he couldn't repair our door in a reasonable amount of time. Instead we were left for weeks waiting. I would be afraid to hire him again due to this. Note: The ratings include being non-responsive to the door repair.

He has been very good. We're pleased with him. He's a nice guy. He does the job and he's pretty fast. He's great for little projects. He's a great handyman. We always wait until we have like at least 5 different projects and then we ask him over. He's fast and reasonable. I have no problem. He deserves the rating he has on Angie's List. I think his price is reasonable. He's not like professional in a sense but he's a handyman.

We took the wall out in a bedroom to make the room larger. The wall had wires that needed to be removed and re wired . Total Home Maintenance,Paul, came out on a Saturday and completed the work for us in two hours. Paul was professional and we were happy with the work completed. His prices are very reasonable .We have some more work that we want to get done and plan to call him again.

It did not go well. Mr. Emrick was twice as late for the appointment as he said he might be, and did not give me a firm price. He gave me his hourly rate, which would have been fine as I was in a hurry to complete the small project. He said he would buy the materials and do the work in 2 weeks. I never heard from him again, and ended up doing the job myself. He seemed busy, which can be good and bad. I would have liked a call or up front decline so I could have found someone else if he didn't want the job.

Paul showed up on time, did a good job and charged a reasonable price. However, I asked him to do another job, to install a hose bib in my basement, and the job had to be done before we left on a long trip in two and a half weeks He promised to do the job on Saturday two weeks later, just before we left. He said he would call on Friday before that Saturday to confirm the appointment. He didn't call on Friday and didn't show up on Saturday. I called him and left a message. Still no response. By then it was too late to get the work done by someone else.

Smooth as silk. Paul has efficiently worked his way through a different list of chores on each of 3 or 4 visits now.

He is dependable with competitive prices. He is a hard worker and I would use him again.

Paul was on time, very professional, and recommended a straight line shutoff handle instead of the one we had. He did a very fast and thorough job and charged just what he quoted. We are very pleased with his services and will definitely call him again.

I called Paul over a weekend before a Holiday. I was surprised that I got a prompt return call. I explained the problems and he clarified, in more appropriate terms, what he thought was going on. He said he would fit me in and we scheduled a geneal time frame of early afternoon a few days later. On that day I waited until 4 pm for him to show up, then called him. He said he got tied up, would have to check his schedule when he got home and would return a call. I was displeased that I had to give up an afternoon waiting for him, but he did make the return call, did apologize, and we set up a morning time 2 days later. What I learned from this experience was that with a small job, be the FIRST APPOINTMENT in the MORNING. Paul showed up on time, presented his business card, and proceeded with the work. I had to purchase some items at the Hardware Store which meant Paul had to return later. He did, at the time agreed upon, and completed the work. He communicates well, was courteous, is obviously knowledgeable, and skilled. I was particularly pleased that he showed me what he was doing and was not put off with the questions I asked. I rate him lower in the Responsiveness category only due to the afternoon that he got tied up and did not get back to me. Nonetheless, I would use his services again.

They did a good job. He communicates well. He replied promptly. He took care of the issues without me having to be there. He was very friendly and professional.

Paul is very nice and easy to deal with. His prices were great. He was flexible and punctual which made me feel that he is someone I can count on. I will be using him again in the future.

He was absolutely great and he was really reasonable for all the work he did. It was not an easy project and he did it and he was very good.

Charges by the hour, but works quickly to keep costs down. Excellent workmanship. Only problem is he is very popular and always has a full schedule, normally 2 week backlog, and does not work evenings or weekends except to give an estimate of hours. But he is the best handyman I have ever used.
