Mr Peabody's The Carpet Care

We moved into a beautiful new home in Aptos but our Terrazzo countertops were a little worse for wear due to acid etching and knife marks. We wanted the home to feel brand new, so we called out Mr. Peabody's to restore our countertops throughout our Kitchen, Master Bath, upstairs guest bath, and laundry room. Terry, the owner, was quick to respond with a visit to give us a reasonable quote considering how much polishing and sanding would be required to make them all like new again. Terry's stone refinishing team of Trenton and Gil came out and did an excellent job of restoring our counter surfaces throughout our house. It took one day for the kitchen and another for the bathrooms and laundry room. All of the appliances and fixtures were carefully masked off and in the original condition after the process, which was a big relief. Mr. Peabody's team was professional and courteous throughout the process. We highly recommend that you give Mr. Peabody's a call if you need your stone/quartz counters resurfaced. These guys are great at what they do!

Mr. Peabody's arrived on time, did a thorough job cleaning the carpets, and left the carpets in a state that dried fairly quickly. They use a strong motor for suction so the carpets are not left soggy.

Long story short, we just did a remodel on our house which included brand new carpet in the bedrooms. A carpenter then proceeded to put Thompsons Water Seal on a new barn door hanging over the new carpet... Ugh! So, Thompsons Water Seal + new creme colored carpet = huge weird stain. BUT, thank goodness for Mr. Peabody's, who came right over and got it out with a minimum of muss and fuss. Would definitely use them again!

It went well. The three techs worked for 8 straight hours and only took a 30 minute lunch break. They did a nice job, cleaned up everything and left my house before rush hour after completing everything they came to do.

They were okay. They were good. They were on time. They did what they said they would do and got done when they said they would. We chose them because of past experience.

They were fantastic. They showed up on time. They're very pleasant. They're great and professional. They took care of everything.

Mr. Peabody's just worked a carpet miracle. My teenage wild-child decided it would be a great idea to paint the walls of her room without a dropcloth. The result was a 6 inch bright blue paint stain on off-white carpet, plus a few other random blobs. Mr. Peabody's was able to pull out that stain, and the grey nail polish to boot. It took 2 hours of hard work, but they managed to do it. Also, Mr. Peabody's was polite and on-time.

We needed to get house ready for sale. They did a wonderful job. The price was a bit higher, but it was worth it. They wore very professional and responsive. Took their time and did a great job. We will definitely hire them again.

Very polite and very professional workers. Arrived on time, worked efficiently. Overall, they did a good job, moved all the furniture, placed protection underneath legs.

The work for the price quated, no sell ups. They move furnature and get the carpet clean and reasonably dry. Their big truck has 2 systems so 2 men can clean at the same time, resulting in a faster job for a large house.

They were very professional, very thorough, and understand the needs of specialty carpet. The only issue is that it takes longer than normal for our carpets to dry.

They did a satisfactory and very good job. No issues at all. I would them again in the future.

Mr Peabody called in advance to get permission to arrive early. We agreed. They arrived, measured the carpet, gave us a price and got to work. They completed the job in less than an hour, gave us covers for our shoes to wear while the carpet dried and departed.

We called Mr. Peabody's Carpet Care Experts on Monday morning and Terry was able to make it out at 12 Pm the same day. Terry was very friendly and professional and quickly measured up the area where he would be cleaning the carpets. He provided up with a good estimate and we told him to go on with the cleaning. He spent about 2 hours out here, and our carpets look soo much better now. All in all i am very happy with the service i received from Terry and Mr. Peabody's.

They did not show up for the scheduled appointment to perform the estimate. Called them after 30 minutes and learned that they were not able to make it to the appointment due to work with another customer. Very inconsiderate since i had taken the afternoon off from work in order to attend the appointment. I will not use their service and will not recommend them to others.

Overall they got the sofas really clean but they over sprayed on my oriental rug. They cleaned the rug without asking me which I didn't like because I would not have had them do it. I wanted to take the oriental rug to have it professionally cleaned. Everything went pretty smoothly except for that one thing. They should have asked me about it first. I haven't really compared their prices to anyone else. Their price was not much. I will use their services again in the future.

After quoting me a price I set up an appointment for the following Monday at 4:30pm, giving me plenty of time to clear out the rooms. The technicians arrived early at 4pm. They quickly set up and got to work. The fact that I was unable to clear out all of the furniture in one of the rooms was a non-issue. They tried to up sell me on ScotchGuard for my carpet but accepted my "no" without issue. They were quick and efficient and almost ended before the scheduled appointment time. They even raked the carpet after I asked about it. I marked the Quality of as a B simply because my carpet is only 2 years old and as such not that stained or worn so it was hard to tell how well the cleaning went. Although the carpet did look good after they were done. Would definitely use them again.

The crew showed up early, around 10:03 am, measured the areas to be cleaned and confirmed a square footage of 536. They gave me a firm price of $289.44 and started their roll out around 10:15. They started by moving the furniture I couldn't move by my self and WORKED NONSTOP until approx. 12:45 pm. During the cleaning process they first sprayed cleaning materials in all areas to be cleaned plus applied heavy duty cleaning agents in the high traffic and on the spotted areas. Used a steam vacuum unit, activated by truck mounted equipment, first then went back over the stubborn areas with additional cleaning agents and brought out an heavy duty carpet scrubber. Went over all areas and finally followed up with the steam vacuum again. They told me before they started that some marks and spots might not come up and in a few areas they were right. However, they went over ALL STUBBORN AREAS several more times doing their best to get every area as clean as possible. In the end they were able to get about 99% of all stains, marks and spots out. AND THE RESULTS ARE FANTASTIC!!! They returned the removed furniture to their original location putting plastic under the feet or runners, rolled up, collected their check and left around 1:15 pm. I am recommending Mr. Peabody's to my family and all my friends. Give them a call. They do great work and have uniformed professional personal. Rich in San Jose, Ca.

He is very efficient and very helpful. He gave us advice on how to keep things clean. They did a very good job and it last. They will come back and redo it if you are not satisfied. They are the best carpet cleaners we've had. They are very friendly and competent .The job they do is excellent and it is guaranteed. It is not intrusive and you don't have to worry about machinery coming into the house. They have a big machine that sucks it all up. Their price is very good. They did what we asked.

Everything goes very well. I am on a good basis with the owner. I give him very little direction and he just comes out and takes care of anything that needs to be taken care of. I will use them in the future.

It was really expensive, it was twice what I thought it would be but that's my fault I didn't shop around or ask for a quote. We needed to get it done and I had seen that they were really good. They did a great job, they were professional and punctual.

I have used Mr. Peabody carpet cleaning service for several years. They do a thorough job. Comparing to some other carpet cleaning companies that I previously used (found from ads in coupon envelops), Carpets cleaned by Mr. Peabody remains clean for much longer.

This was a re-clean for a different A rated carpet cleaner. I had previously had another Angie's list A rated carpet cleaner clean the carpets and was disappointed with the results. I scheduled a late afternoon cleaning the same morning. Was told that I may get bumped til the next day because of the short notice. The owner ended up going out of his way, coming out at the end of his day and took the work as an overflow job. He did a excellent job at explaining the process, technology and equipment. Ultimately the results were amazing. Far better than what the first company was able to do. I've learned a lot about carpet cleaning. I've previously been sold on the "bonnet/pad cleaning" as a superior method, but I'm certain that the heat extraction method Mr Peabody uses is the clear winner. These guys have some serious equipment in some very large trucks capable of heating the water hot enough for an effective clean. They also have a superior system for extracting the waste and waste water. The bonnet method the other guys used can pick up some of the dirt, but ultimately swirls it around leaving a lot behind. Mr Peabody was able to clean a lot of spots that the other guy said was not possible to remove with technology/process the manufactures recommend. I have since used them on another property and have been equally satisfied with the results. For the wonderful level of professionalism, cost, technology and results, I would highly recommend these guys.

Great! We especially loved that the carpets were removed for cleaning and then returned promptly.

A contractor who was performing some remodeling work for me accidentally tracked in something like axle grease from the parking lot. There were quite a few goopy stains where he had walked across the carpet. The contractor contacted Mr. Peabody's and requested same-day service to clean the stains. Mr. Peabody's responded and they were able to remove all signs of any stains. Per an agreement with the contractor, I paid Mr. Peabody on completion, but the contractor deducted the amount from the final remodeling bill.
