+ -1 moreMaria and her helper cleaned my house after my housemate moved out about a year ago. I am preparing to call them again realized I never posted this last review. The housemate had left the place pretty filthy and they did a great job of getting the place back in shape. I thought I was a pretty thorough housecleaner but after their work I think differently. The place sparkled when they were done and for the amount of work they did, the fee was really reasonable. I spoke with Maria over the phone and she quoted me a price for cleaning one bedroom, one bathroom and the kitchen and refrigerator. She came with a helper and by the time they were done, they had cleaned my whole house inside out. After they were done and I was making out a check for Maria, her helper grabbed a broom and started sweeping my garage.

+ -1 moreThey were great. I'm still using them. I've been using her since the initial communication and she's great. Maria, the owner, is very outgoing, very thorough, and very cost conscious. She works well with the customer. She'll come up with a solution that's going to work well for everyone.

+ -1 moreMello Maids has gone above and beyond the normal housekeeping duties, even emptying my dishwasher and making sure I know if they've put thing away and where they are. They make sure all details are taking care of, even making my beds (which I did not expect). Maria (owner) is a delight to work with and always promptly responds to my texts and she really understands quality customer service. Their prices are extremely reasonable also! I highly recommend Mello Maids to anyone looking for a quality housekeeper! You will not be disappointed.

Description of Work: My daughter who lives in Santa Cruz was going to have relatives visit and she needed help with a one-time cleaning to get the house ready. I told her that I would pay for a service to come and help her. I called Angie's List since it was out of my area of Southern CA, and the customer service representative supplied me with 3 choices. None were in Santa Cruz, but this cleaning service would travel to Santa Cruz from Morgan Hill. She asked me about size of condo and need of the job. I told her, and right up front she told me that it would be $175 no matter how long it took. Maria arrived at 10 a.m. and worked for 2 hours with two of her employees. She left them to go do work elsewhere, and they stayed until 5 p.m. There was nothing they would not do! They changed beds, folded wash, put clothes away, picked up toys, cleaned window blinds, cleaned inside the fridge, etc. They did all the usual things housekeepers do as well, -- vacuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, etc. They were amazing! My daughter was so happy and said that she would definitely use them again
