Originally we had gone with a different mold inspection company, who did a shabby job. (I even suspect they were trying to scam us.) Rich was extremely professional and helped us figure out what was going on, potentially saving us a TON of money in what would have been needless mold remediation. I would hire him again and recommend him to anyone.

On scale of 1 to 10, he was a 12! He's very, very good. He's very calm, knowledgable and was a pleasure to work with.

I was very impressed with Rich. He was knowledgeable and very professional. He arrived a few minutes early, was well prepared, and explained the process well. He took an outside air sample for comparison, and then several in the house. The results were back sooner than expected. The overall experience was a positive one and would use him again. Richard is care, nice and professional. He really speed up the whole process. He came one day earlier while I told my daughter is only 4 years old and concern about the risk of mold. He also gave us lots of valuable suggestion of mold treatment. Also he pushed the lab to process faster. It is really bad while you need mold service but it will be good to have some like Rich to help you.

Rich Gray was very responsive and professional. Of the various technical specialists met via Angie's List and other referrals he was not the cheapest but the easiest to communicate with.

We hade a great experience - they were incredible responsive and flexible and executed an incredibly detailed investigation - and then communicated the findings in a very clear manner - made it very easy to develop an action problem to address the key issues.

Richard has been great and i would definitely recommend him to anyone. We had a pipe burst in our house that caused substantial damages and required the removal of dry wall and flooring. During this work, mold was uncovered in the wall and floor and we were left with an open moldy hole in the wall and a serious mold problem in the house. I immediately called Richard to perform an inspection to see how bad the problem was. He came very promptly and was very reassuring and informative. He performed a very thorough mold inspection and found additional mold that we were not aware of in the crawl space under our house and had also been caused by our flooding event. He performed airborne testing and swab testing and returned a very professional report to us showing that we had high levels of mold inside our house and crawlspace and what species were present. He provided detailed recommendations for mold remediation and a referral to a company for pasteurization. The company he referred us to were great and performed the mold abatement and Richard then returned to perform additional testing once that was complete. Richard has been very professional and helpful to us, even going the extra mile to help us with an insurance claim and we would definitely hire him again if the need arose.

Richard was very prompt at arriving and doing initial pre-treatment air sampling. He promptly returned the sample report from the lab and suggested remediation process. After remediation, again he was prompt to come and do air test sampling. When the test results were returned he provided them to us promptly. There were some continuing issues and Richard was very helpful in attempting to resolve those issues - He "stayed on top" of the job. He continues to follow up. Richard responded to my initial call right away and set up an appointment. He showed up on time for the appointment, actually a little early (he called first to check that it was OK). I had what I thought was an issue in a window frame, and he checked that out first. He took air samples inside and outside the house, then took some physical samples from the window frame. After that we did a walk around the entire house exterior and Richard pointed out areas of possible concern, or possible future concern and suggestions on what to do. He checked under the house as well, then went through the interior of the house. On the interior, he also tested for moisture in walls, around windows, bathrooms, floors etc. and found one unknown issue with one of the baths. He gave me a lot of good feedback and suggestions. Richard sent the samples off for evaluation and the results came back on the exact day he said they would. Fortunately we have a mold free, healthy home, but he did find one unknown moisture issue that would have gotten much worse had he not found it. Richard is very professional and knows how to provide exceptional service. I think it was great value for the money and I do highly recommend him.

This is my first review on Angie's list. I felt compelled to write one of behalf of Rich because his service truly goes over and beyond. Rich is a consummate professional. He is courteous, responsive, knowledgeable, and thorough. He was always reachable by phone or email and when you are in a situation that is stressful, this level or service feels like a lifesaver. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. I am extremely thankful for everything he did for us.

Mr. Gray sent his samples to a laboratory for analysis. The results indicated that the air quality of the home was safe and within healthy guidelines. No further work was required. Mr. Gray is a true professional and we would definitely use him again if the need arises. We would recommend him without reservation.

The coupon stated it was for a whole house mold inspection but they called before they came over and said that they were only testing for moisture and the mold inspection that I needed for airborne mold was extra. I found the coupon misleading and I would have given them an "F" but they were very nice on the phone and provided instant communication.

Mr. Gray arrived earlier than expected but called prior. He was very professional in his presentation and explanation. The deal cost did not include the actual testing for mold. This was >$300 in addition to house exam. This was not so clear in the purchase of the exam.

Solid service, alerted me to potential areas where water might be in the walls. Nice guy, incredibly responsive and flexible. However the basic test doesn't really tell you anything... you really need an air sample sent in to Lab which costs quite a bit more ($300). then to actually fix the issue you have to spend thousands to pasteurize the area.. I'm not sure if there are other options. Of course none of that really has to do with the fact that Richard did everything that was advertised in a timely manner.

We called Richard on the recommendation of Michael Ell of PuroClean Restoration Services as soon as we discovered we had mold under a window seat. He came to our house within an hour, tested the inside of the house and also the perimeter in several locations and sent the tests to a lab to see what type of mold we had. He then instructed Michael on what needed to be done to remediate the situation. Throughout the process Richard was always available and responsive to us, and we felt very comfortable with him and his professionalism. After the work was completed, Richard returned and re-tested the same areas that had previously been tested to be sure the remediation had been successful, and our home was safe. Please note that a large portion of the charges were for the lab that did the mold testing.

There service was okay. I think my expectation was a little bit up, so he said that and I read that , I am sorry I am giving you so much more information than you want. Anyway I rent the house, he assured me that the treatment was important, because if you are renting a house and you have got mold in the air, then it can be a life ordeal down the line. So this way I had proof there was no mold.

For starters, a phone call to Rich about 9:00PM on a Friday night was returned twenty minutes later at 9:20PM. Rich appeared at our home the next morning at 10:30AM, after an almost two hour drive. He was professional with a lovely, friendly approach, and explained each step along the way while, at times, answering what must have seemed like a barrage of questions. Each test (there were six) was discussed beforehand - at no time was there any pressure. If he felt a test was not necessary, he stated so, and why. How refreshing not to be forced into a corner. Rich took his time, spending well over two hours with us--every business in existence would do well to follow this man's business model; response time was phenomenal and the customer's needs are his primary focus --rare findings in this day and age.

I bought an old house with the detached garage. The detached garage had been covered with fake wood panelling and ceiling tiles, and when I was touring the house, I knew there was "badness" hiding behind the panels, but I didn't know what type of badness it would be. So, I wasn't surprised when I pulled down a section of panelling, and found a huge colony of white mold. Thankfully I was wearing a respirator. After I ran out of there and closed the garage door, I went right to Angie's list, and found Richard Gray's number. He responded very quickly, and was able to come out to the house to meet me within two days. He took samples of the air in the garage, and the air outside to compare spore counts. While he was there, he also took a moisture measurement in the crawlspace of the main house, and assured me that the house itself was in great shape, and didn't have any mold issues. He also explained to me what the steps would be if the mold turned out to be dangerous, and approximately how much it would cost. This helped to assure me that, even if the mold was dangerous, I wouldn't be breaking my budget to fix it. Within 4 days, he had the test results back to me. It turned out that the mold was a variety of Penicillium, and could be potentially toxic. He referred me to a company to have the garage pasteurized, which I am getting quoted this week. Richard worked quickly to help me understand and hopefully fix a potentially hazardous situation, and did a great job at keeping me calm and helping me find out the best way to fix it. I would definitely recommend Richard if you need to test for mold in your house.

Our experience with Richard was a very good one and I highly recommend him for anyone, who needs to get their home/business tested for mold. I was able to contact Richard on my first attempt to schedule an appointment for Friday (6/21/13). We both a scheduling conflict for that Friday and were able to re-schedule for Saturday (6/22/13). On the day of the visit, he was early to my parent's home and was extremely courteous and professional. In addition to the tests, he was able to identify the water leak in an upstairs bathroom (specifically from the shower head) that was leaking into the walls and eventually into a downstairs kitchen cabinet (where mold was visible). He took photos of the problem areas during his test that he included in his report. I received his report the very same day minus the air sample results (which required being processed in a lab). He also went into the crawl space of the house to determine if any mold was visible there. Some traces were detected but very minimal compared to other places. Richard also provided a course of action to deal with the mold problem after the water leak has been repaired. We plan to take his advice for those issues.

Rich returned my initial call within the hour. He arrived promply for the appointment today. He took a history of the complaint and commenced testing for moisture. He took time to explain his findings and had suggestions for remediation. He even suggested that we submit a claim to our insurance company for the water damage, which we hadn't even considered. I am delighted with Rich's professionalism and expertise and will not hesitate to call on him again should the need arise.

Rich was prompt, courteous and professional. There was one glitch when Certified Disaster Cleaning had not understood that they were to also heat treat the understructure, but Rich took care of it right away. He provided a complete lab report after the work, which came out clean.
