Lee's Drywall Repair

Mr. Lee was first contacted mid-morning and conducted the estimate before lunch. He returned after lunch (as promised) and repaired a 2' drywall tape separation near the top of my vaulted ceiling (about 20' up). He noticed other minor drywall imperfections around the house and promptly repaired those as well for the original price. He was prompt, courteous, reasonably priced, friendly and professional. He takes great pride in his work. Can't recommend him highly enough!

Mr. Lee arrived on time, gave me the estimate, and got right to work. Estimate was very reasonable and the workmanship exceptional. After painting, cannot tell there was damage!

He took the time to explain the repair process and answered all our questions. We were fortunate his schedule allowed the repairs to be completed the next day! The contractor was nice enough on the phone and came out to meet me at the agreed upon time for the estimate.? What stood out to me about this contractor is that he kept on asking me if I read his reviews on Angie's List after I told him I found him on Angie's List. I never gave him a positive response (what he was expecting?) but he must have asked over 3 times in all my communications with him (on the phone and in person). It ended up that meeting him was a complete waste of my time. The bid came in 3X more than any other bid I received and the estimated time for completion was over a week when everyone else quoted 1 or 2 days. When I looked surprised about the time and price he quoted, the contractor said doing the work was a very difficult and time consuming process with multiple steps involved. I don't mind someone having a high bid compared to others - but 3X time and price is ridiculous.?Apparently, his reviews on Angie's list has gone to his head and he thinks he can gouge everyone. Sorry, I will pass and warn others not to waste their time.

Lee is a master of his craft. He loves what he does and he takes pride in a job well done. A homeowner might think a stucco patch around a door should cost ~$200; you get what you pay for. It's not just a matter of filling in the gap with cement, there is prep work that needs to happen for a job to be done correctly. Lee ground down the existing stucco, opened the cracks, and used a multi-step process: tying new paper to existing paper, layering a bonding agent, a scratch layer, a color layer, and finally the pattern match. All surfaces were masked and everything was cleaned up before he left. It was an honest day's work. The pattern match is better than the original and the lines around the door frame are clean and straight.

You cannot go wrong by hiring Mr. Lee. He does fantastic work, is extremely professional and such a nice person. He responds very quickly and the job is done before you know it. I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Lee again. It is hard to find such reliable, hardworking and honest help these days!

You shouldn't tell people you are coming out to give an estimate and not show. If you don't install drywall and only make repairs, you need to explain that on the initial phone call before setting up an appointment window.

Mr. Lee showed up on time and he repaired the wall where the wall heater was located. The wall was textured plaster and Mr. Lee matched so well that except for the color difference you cannot tell where the hole was. He matched the texture of the wall around the doorway. He repaired the damage in the bathroom and re-caulked the shower door. I would recommend him to anyone. His work is high quality and his experience shows in his work.

Overall, it was a great experience. Mr Lee did exactly as he quoted to us, he was on time, he kept the work area as clean as possible, and most importantly he did a quality job. Drywall work might appear easy but it's not, getting the texture to match the existing texture on the wall is a true art and Mr Lee know what he is doing as he matched our existing wall texture perfectly, you would never know any replacement of repair work was ever done. His attention to detail is top notch because he takes his time to do the job right!

Lee did a great job. The new drywall looks exactly like the existing. The exterior stucco job came out great. The texture and color are a perfect match. Lee knows drywall and stucco. You will not be disappointed.

I could not imagine a having a better experience with a contractor than we had with Mr. Lee. We called him on a Friday around noon to ask for an estimate on restoring the water damaged portion of our hallway ceiling. The same evening, he came by to give us an extremely reasonable estimate for the work -- and by 9:00am the next day, he was hard at work. The work was performed quickly, with meticulous attention to cleanliness and detail, and in a very workmanlike manner. By mid-afternoon the day after we first called Mr. Lee, our ceiling was fully repaired, and everything about life in our house went back to normal. Highly recommended to anybody in need of drywall or plaster repair.

Mr. Lee is the real deal. He is everything you hope for when you ask a contractor to come into your home. Respectful, kind, punctual and more importantly he is highly skilled at his craft. I honestly can't believe how well he was able to match our existing stucco texture.

Our water heater broke on the weekend and when the plumber came out and removed the old heater he saw that the walls were badly damaged. We could not have the new water heater installed until the drywall was repaired. Even though it was a holiday and nobody works on Memorial Day, Mr. Lee did not want us to be without hot water. He came on time, and did a wonderful job! Even though the work to be done was in the garage, he still took care not to get dust on anything, and he left the work area cleaner than what it was when he started! There is a reason why he has the best reviews on the list, he cares about his customers and is highly skilled. We are already planning on having him come back to do additional work for us inside.

I was very skeptical with all the prior reviews, no one could be that good, but he was. Within a few minutes of submitting my request he called and set a time convenient for me Friday afternoon and a quote 1/2 what the insurance adjuster's estimate. Others have reported how meticulous he is with the preparation work, moving or covering furniture, and creating a floor to ceiling work area with plastic sheeting. This was all true. I found no dust outside the work area at anytime and none after he took down the work area. I was also skeptical about the reviews that say he is a artist and thought the paint was a bit off after he was done, but it match perfectly after 1 week. The texture match also. I thought I fixed the leak that caused the water damage but Mr. Lee found it wasn't fixed and showed me where it was leaking. What was amazing to me was that it was 3 P.M. Friday afternoon so I thought we would have to wait until next week to have this done. Mr. Lee recommended a plumber on Angie's list. I used Mr. Lee's name, and the plumber was here in 1/2 hour and got it fixed for $85. Then Mr. Lee completed his drywall work and we got the room back for the weekend without any signs of repair. Again I was very skeptical of the reviews, but I can see it is all true. He is an artist. And works at low cost.

Mr. Lee was courteous, punctual, and straight to the point. He completed the job in a precise and timely manner. He gave me a fair priced estimate on Saturday and returned Monday afternoon when I was available to do the work. A better job I could not have asked for! I'd definitely use Mr. Lee again and recommend his services to others!

I wish ALL contractors were as professional, skilled, and punctual as Mr. Lee. I explained my needs over the phone and he arrived early the next morning as promised. He surveyed the broken vent, drywall and stucco repair needed and then gave me an estimate of prox $500 (I think this may be his somewhat "standard" fee for working on a one day job). He had everything he needed for the repair in his truck. The disconnected dryer vent pipe had been spewing dust inside my interior garage walls for over 10 years (typical crappy subcontractor work from the original builder). Mr Lee cleaned up all the dust, secured the disconnected vent pipe so that it would never break again. He then repaired several sections of drywall that had been cut out by a plumber previously. His work was truly professional and clean. He even painted the patched areas to match the existing drywall. It was a perfect job. Also repaired a small corner of exterior stucco on the car that had been hit by a car tire. Again, xlnt work. Mr Lee worked the entire day to make sure it all got done right and I was satisfied with the results. He was courteous and professional. I would definitely use his services again if needed,

I had a property where the owners purchased the high end whirled pool spa bathtub, in less than one year there appeared to be a leak, the tub was equipped with two access panels on the front face of the unit, when the owner tried to contact the company which installed the very expensive unit, the company staff were nowhere to be found. The owner did have a home warranty policy which would cover any repairs but there was one big problem, the leak could not be seen from either of the two access panels on the front of the unit, the owner was told they would need to have the wall opened from the outside of the home which would allow to plumber have a complete view of the pluming and find the leak, the plumber went on the tell the owners that they would need to find someone else to open the wall because, for one thing the insurance didn?t pay for walls to be removed and replaced when plumbing repairs were needed and wall had to be removed to access the problem. This property was located in a 55+ community and the owner was well pasted the age where she knows anything about plumbing, wall removal or who could do the job. That?s when she called me, I was the broker who handled the buying transaction for them, I must be truthful I had no idea, but I was a member of Angie?s List so I let my fingers do the walking and the reviews do the talking, That?s when mister Lee and I crossed paths, his reviews where great, but what really got me was his honesty, he said he had never heard of a plumber who had the client find some else to make a hole in order for him to make the repairs and maybe we should look for another plumber. Most people would not care about anything other than getting to the property as soon as possible and making the money, I went on to tell him about the warranty not covering the removal and replacement and he got it. He came and gave the estimate which was very reasonable and the work was outstanding. You really couldn?t see where the hole had been made. I had a chance to watch him work; it was like watching artist paint a picture. I would recommend Mr. Lee to anyone who wanted honest man who does outstanding work at a very reasonable price.

Mr. Lee returned my messages within a day, and arrived promptly to complete the work. He requested in advance that I provide some of the required materials, which I did. He came with all the tools and know-how to complete the job. His price was fair, and his drywall repair was excellent; you cannot see where the repairs were made, even the area where there were rounded corners. His paint matching was spot on. He showed me all of his work before he left and I approved it all. I did have a minor touch-up (paint in a spot on the baseboard) that I noticed after he left, but it was not significant.

morI had a leak in my garage ceiling. I was looking though the reviews for Lee's services and decided to hire him. If you read the reviews everyone had high praise for him. They say when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. This does not apply to Mr.Lee. He deserves all the compliments if not more. He arrived promptly at the appointment time and gave me a quote that was much less than others. What I really liked was that he was very courteous. His quality of work is really outstanding. I bet no one can ever notice that there is a patch in my ceiling. I have never encountered such quality of work. There was not a speck of dust when he completed the job. I would strongly recommend Mr.Lee. Look no further.

Lee arrived on time, was friendly and dressed appropriately. He set up his work space, did the work, and TOTALLY cleaned the area in less than 2 hours. The texturing feathered in perfectly. Will DEFINITELY call again if needed.

The ceiling below a skylight in my pool house had fallen down. I called Mr. Lee and he came out 2 days later. He tore out the old damaged plaster from the ceiling and discovered that the ceiling joists were wet. Instead of just plastering over it and collecting his money, he called me out to see that I had a bigger problem than the ceiling...the roof had to be repaired. Mr. Lee said to just call him when the roofers were done and he would come back out to finish the job....he didn't want any money for the work he had already done...I had to insist that he take 1/2 payment! It took a few weeks for the roofer and the weather to match-up so the work could be done. As it turned out I didn't get to have Mr. Lee back until the end of January. Finally, the roofing fixed, Mr. Lee came back out and finished my ceiling. It looks beautiful! Mr. Lee is an honest, polite and skilled craftsman at his trade. I will definitely use him again and I will recommend him to my friends.

The work was scheduled and he appeared promptly at the agreed upon time. He examined the job and prepared a written estimate. His price was fair and his workmanship was impeccable. His appearance, demeanor, vehicle and equipment was top notch. He exercised care and successfully minimized the mess factor as he was performing his tasks in an occupied home. Of particular interest was his skill in recognizing and matching to the existing texture patterns. Mr. Lee is truly skilled craftsman. Our project is continuing and I plan to engage Mr. Lee's services again.
