I was very pleased that the part a day earlier and the mechanic came that day and repaired it and he was very courteous and took time to explain the process he performed and I have no complaints at all and most definitely would use this company again.

+ -1 moreThere was rust inside the cabinet. He explained fully why it had not leaked before. The bearings were gone on the machine. He explained that he could repair it but it would cost 75% of the cost of a new one. He also sells appliances. He informed me which were the better appliances. I found one on Lowes and he said it was a great deal, he couldn't even get it for cost at that price. I found him very trustworthy and would definitely refer others to hiim. He also was able to come out the next day to service.

+ -1 moreContacted this company through email yesterday. Mario called me this morning and said he would be out today. He asked what the machine was doing or not doing. He put the machine through diagnostic test and determined the problem. He then explained what needed to be done and went over the cost. After my okay to proceed, he went to work on the needed repair. After he had completed the work, he went through diagnostic test again and put the machine through a test cycle. Mario was very thorough in his explanation through out the testing and repair. I would highly recommend this company! Great job!

+ -1 moreI made the call at 11:30, the repairmen were at the door in less than an hour. They determined that the problem was an igniter that wasn't getting hot enough. He had the part with him, he replaced it, and within 90 minutes of my initial call, my oven was working perfectly.

+ -1 moreHe did the diagnosis, told me what was wrong, presented me with an estimate. He then replaced the part, vacuumed out the back of my dryer as a preventive measure. At my request, he lectured my son about running the dryer while he's emptying the lint filter. My son told him about the handle being broken off the lint filter, he then offered to get me a price on a new one. The price he told me was half of what I had found when I searched for it online, so I asked that he get one for me. I paid him and he left. The next day he stopped by and dropped off my new lint filter.
Description of Work: He diagnosed and replaced a part in my dryer with a significant discount, and then my son mentioned that the handle broke off my lint screen, he got us a brand new lint screen for half of the price I had found for them online.

I had told him that I had picked out one at Lowe's and he suggested a different model that would be larger and less expensive and more dependable. (even though he sells the same one he told me I should go to Lowe's because they are on sale). I also had asked him a random question about my dishwasher not getting dishes clean and he showed me how to adjust the rinse agent setting and suggested a different dishwasher soap. He was so polite, clean and respectful I could hardly believe he was a repair man. I will absolutely use him again and recommend him to everyone I know. I am very satisfied with this experience.

Description of Work: My dryer start button would not work unless you held it down. Mario, first responded to my voice message in a timely manner. I told him what the problem was and he asked the appropriate questions and then he made an appointment. He was punctual and assessed the problem and explained what was needed and gave me the price. He ordered the proper part and the next day he fixed the problem with my dryer. He did it so quickly and professionally. Mario is a sweetheart and me and my daughter are very happy with the job he did. We will always call on him to fix all of our appliances and will recommend him to others. GOD Bless Mario and his business always. We give him an A++.

+ -1 moreMy double oven stopped working two days before Thanksgiving, naturally I was hosting so needless to say there was much baking to be done. Anyway, initially I contacted G.E. Company directly for service. There was price was outrageous and there was not a technician available until the next day. I contacted Mario in the morning and although he had pending appointments that day, he was able to accommodate me that same day. The overall experience was very good. This was my first experience using Angie's List and I so glad that I contacted A M & M Appliances. Having Mario in my home made me feel at ease. He was very professional and I didn't feel like I was going to be financially taken advantage of due to any repairs needed. There is nothing that I would change about this experience and I would definitely recommend and use his services again if necessary. Because of his diligence he rescued my Thanksgiving and I had a successful holiday.
Description of Work: I'm sure I'm not using the technical terms but in short my double oven would turn itself off from cooking and the oven door would automatically lock and I was unable to open it for long periods of time. Then when I would try to use the other oven eventually it would repeat the same thing as the first oven. There was an error code that would display in the control panel. Mario, the technician who did the repairs came prepared with a diagram of my oven. He practically disassembled the oven to get to the root of the problem. He explained to me that there are some wires in the oven that basically may not have been giving the correct message to the control panel and that panel might need to be replaced which would have cost me $300.00 plus dollars. I was dreading that expense but I would have had no other choice if it would have come to that, thankfully it didn't. Mario was diligent and completely thorough in his attempts to resolve the problem and save me money. He checked every possible scenario that existed to solve the problem, finally in the 11th hour.....success! Mario had done it, he fixed my ovens. He told me to let the oven run and continue to increase the temperature after he left to make sure that the oven would basically hold up. Mario told me that although he had several other repair appointments he was going to follow up with me later that evening, the reason he wanted to do that is that if the oven began to malfunction again he would have time to order any parts I would need and have them installed in time for Thanksgiving. Mario kept his word, he followed up and thankfully my oven is still operating properly as it was that evening. Mario told me that if any parts had to be ordered that my service fee that I already paid would apply to those parts even if it was thrity days later.
