Do not call this company! Read the negative reviews before you trust the positive ones! Here's our cautionary tale . . . Our regular serviceman who we trust and have used for years was swamped & could not make it out. In a panic, we called RR. Yes they are polished and have responsive dispatchers who had a tech at my house on a Saturday, which happened to be the hottest day of the year, BUT they also sent a guy who reported a whole list of problems that would cost at minimum $2k to fix (we had burn marks on multiple parts of the furnace, there was ice building up on our condenser, asbestos in our ducts). His recommendation was to replace the whole system for anywhere between $10k-16k, and of course they could provide financing and do it Monday because he happened to know there was a last minute cancellation, so we wouldn't have to be on a waiting list and without air for weeks. Hmm. Our air was working strong before and our research told us it was probably just a blower motor or capacitor that needed to be replaced. We were skeptical. We waited to hear back from our regular man w/a referral. Another company came out Monday and fixed our problem by replacing the capacitor in less than 5 mins. He said our condenser outside looked just fine. The heater was old but still working, so why replace it? $220 later, I am so glad we endured the heat for one more day to get the help of an honest professional.

They've been out at least two times for electrical. One time was probably about four years ago, and the other time was probably within six months of that. It was Spring going into Winter. That one was excellent. For price, it was very competitive. Many friends and family have commented and they liked the fixture. "Well who installed it? Did you come up with that idea?" I have a spiral staircase and the lights sort of just dangled straight down, but it was like, that doesn't look good up there; let's make it like those little things screw into each other. And he couldn't see it, but it was kinda like, "oh yeah, now I get it." He just kept screwing the things in and got a shorter one and it kinda made a spiral staircase. And they're like, "did the house come with that?" I'm like, are you kidding me?

We try to get stuff done at the other season when they're slow. This service was actually free, because they had repaired the furnace. I'd just give them B across the board. I would tell friends and family that they are consistent.

They did lots of work for us.? I passed their name on to three or four people and eventually someone called me and said "don't give out our name," and I'm like, "oh, okay."? Their price was kinda dependent on the job, because they always found something wrong.? At that time it was a they just called you type thing.? Every quarter they'd show up or you had service like twice a year free.? Air conditioning in December is cheap.

His signed and dated service contract said the full price would be $11,200.00, and I would get $1,050.00 in rebates for recycling my appliances. He said he would recycle them for me. He kept the rebate money, and came back a week after the contract was signed and told me to write a check for $11,700.00! Five hundred dollars more. He knew, from chatting with me in such a friendly manner, that I was still upset from the death of my son earlier that year. Trusting R. Rogero, I did not check his contract before I wrote the check. It never occurred to me that he would rip me off like that. It was almost a year later when I realized I would not be getting the rebates which R. Rogero assured me he had recycled my appliances for. I won a judgment from him in 2012, but he still has not paid me, though I'm disabled and cannot work.

They sent a man to take measurements, purchase the materials and install. JC went way out of his way to help me. They have been really good. They went to several stores to find the best, right product for me. They also hauled away the old unit. JC went beyond the call of duty on this occasion as well as my previous experiences with him.

I had attempted to hang a pendant light that I bought in the hallway myself--and thought I did a fairly good job except when I turned the electricity back on, some outlets in my kitchen and office were blown (including the outlet for the refrigerator). I initially called Pasadena Emergency Electrician Service to see if an electrician would come out on a Saturday afternoon; and they sent over RR Electric. Ricardo and his team showed up within the hour (also received a courtesy 30 minute check-in call to let me know they were on their way). They were extremely professional and very clean--wore plastic booties over their shoes to protect my hardwood floors and from tracking dirt in. After fixing the circuit breaker in about 5 minutes (apparently, I had an old switch), they took it upon themselves to assess my DIY lighting job. Turns out that was the real culprit behind the circuit tripping: Since my house is old, the wiring is just as dated with cloth-covered rubber cased wires. When I had hooked up my new pendant light, the wires that I was connecting it up to were brittle and crusty caused by years of heat from the previous light fixture. Ricardo explained the dangers of leaving the wires as-is (prone to electrical fires) and delivered an estimate of what it would cost to get the job done. After doing some online research about old cloth-covered wires and when to rewire, it turns out that Ricardo's warnings were quite real. I scheduled an appointment with him to come on Monday between 9 - 10 am, and he showed up within the time frame and his office called me beforehand to let me know that he and his team were on their way. The second visit, they were wonderfully clean and polite. They got the job done within an hour, hour and half and cleaned up after themselves--including wiping the ceiling and attic door to remove any smudges. A week after the job was done, I received a thank you card in the mail from RR Electric, along with a discount coupon for the next time I would ever need their services! These guys were extremely professional with great customer service and I would certainly use them again in the future.

He was here for almost 2 hours, which was excessive for an estimate.
Description of Work: They sent someone out to give us an estimate on installing 6 new recessed lights and to replace 3 existing light fixtures with recessed lights. Some wiring for the switches was also required. The electrician spent a long time looking at the existing setup and explaining to us the work that would need to be done. We did not choose them because their price was almost double the "A" rated electrican from Angie's List that we ultimately hired.

We called in the afternoon with a power problem, they came at stated time and office called ahead to say they were on their way. Jose arrived (immaculately clean, in uniform,) he was very professional, kind & knowledgeable. He explained our situation and contacted the DWP and made appointment for them to come and up lock the power box that evening. They did so. The next am RR called and arranged to send Billy out to do the repair, which he did in a prompt fashion and gave us a couple of options for our repair. Again, the office called to say he was on his way. This company is respectful of your time and your dilemma. I would highly recommend them. We did not compare prices, but feel we got good value in an emergency.

I had to finally call to get the inspection. They called to cancel on the date chosen. I couldn't reschedule when they wanted so they came anyway. I didn't think they knew what they were doing. In the process of checking all the electricity, they accidentally turned off all the electricity going to my husband's computer and to my stove. They didn't know how to turn it back on and had to reset all the fuses in order to do it. They didn't do the simple job I asked which was to change a switch. They gave me some cock and bull story. Last year they hung a ceiling fan for me which wobbles and I asked them to tighten it so it would be secure. They told me it was the fan's fault because it was an inferior fan. Then he tried to tighten it and what do you know; it stopped shaking. They were more concerned trying to sell me another plan. I was not impressed and will not call them again.

Jason and his assistant were prompt and polite and VERY neat--areas were kept clean and everything put back where it belonged. The price seemed a little high at first, but the wiring turned out to be really messed up by the former owner. The technicians very patiently went through and straightened it all out--took an extra four hours, but did not add a penny to the original estimate. Jason really showed pride in his work, and ownership of the project. I would certainly call them again.
Description of Work: Assemble and install two ceiling fans and an overhead light fixture (needed new boxes as well as removing existing fixtures. Ground outlet in one bedroom, add outlet in another, change several outlets to three-pronged outlets, disconnect old alarm system left by previous owners. Inspect home electrical system, tighten connections, etc. Included one-year service contract.

The electrician sent was named Kyle. He identified the problem and noted that our home was missing GFIs. However, in the process he broke one of two panels on our spa and was unable to put the spa panels back together (we later learned that he had mixed up the panels and slates and apparently couldnt figure out how to get them back on). He quoted us $120 per GFI, though we later got them done for $65. It seems like $575 was way too high for taking off an ozone filter, considering that nothing was fixed and our spa panels were broken. He did have to take up two wooden deck boards that block access to the panel, but they were installed using wood screws and were easy to take off and put on. He failed to show up when we called for a return visit on the following Tuesday.
Description of Work: Our hot tub fuse kept going off, so we called to check the system. It turned out that the ozone filter had gone bad.
