Martin was prompt and always available. He had great references and photos of previous projects. He actually helped me design the unit which made it come out better than what I had envisioned it to look like. The trim, fit, and finish really gave the project a true "built in" look. He went to great effort to match the existing crown molding to a tee. The room went from a ho hum area with an eyesore fireplace, to having a real wow factor. Not only is the room now used more, but in the event of selling the house someday, the work done will pay for itself many times over. I wish I had more spaces requiring selves and cabinets, because I WOULD USE mARTIN AGAIN.

The first project began with my kitchen remodel. I wanted an open bookshelf with an oriental motif. It was not for books, I have kick-knacks and antiques. An architect did the first drawings. Martin came to visit and did additional drawings and we talked about wood and detailing. He did some sample stains and we picked cheery veneer to match the kitchen cabinets. His stain matched exactly. Martin is very professional, friendly,easy to work with and enjoyable to have around. He came several times to ensure his design would work and fit into the existing space and granite counter top. Everything went well. It is just what I envisioned and more. Each project that Martin has done for us has been unique. They all add to the ambiance of our home and it warms my heart to have such beautiful works of art around.

He installed the doors, including the hardware in a single day. Martin does extraordinary joinery, the precision that he puts into his work is remarkable. Here’s a don’t: Don’t forget to have your painter seal all 6 sides of a new door. The tops and bottoms really matter. Our painter did not seal Martin’s door tops and bottoms, they looked perfect, but water got on to the end grains and they swelled and wouldn’t close properly. We got the doors sealed properly and painted and then Martin returned to adjust the fit and they are still working today. The problem was not his fault.
