Initial call was on 11 March. The owner/rep came out and determined what needed to be done and made an appointment to come back on 12 March within a 2-hour window. The owner/rep failed to show and did not call on 12 March. On 13 March in the morning the owner/rep called and said the repair could be done that day. I expressed my uncertainty but was assured the appointed time would be kept. As promised, the owner/rep arrived and performed the repair. Rather than only repair one cord, the entire cording was replaced to ensure aesthetics and to ensure the other cord would not fray and break soon after this initial repair. Pros: Rather than only repair one cord, the entire cording was replaced to ensure aesthetics and to ensure the other cord would not fray and break soon after this initial repair. - replacement cord looks solid and is guaranteed by the owner - discount offered by owner due to missed initial appointment - sincere and earnest seeming individual Cons: Initial contact was a bit unprofessional... - while the owner did return my call the message I left was not reviewed prior to the call meaning I had to repeat everything again. - owner asked for a cell number to text me when he would be on his way after I'd provided the home number for him to call - no notice that the original scheduled time was going to be cancelled was ever given - while I did see a receipt book at the initial survey time, no receipt was provided and I was told I would receive it via email at a later date I try to support small business whenever possible and understand that organization and scheduling can be difficult. I would use this company again but, I hope that receipts will be made available when the work is done or via mail rather than by requesting additional means of contact. Such requests can be considered a suspicious attempt to retrieve additional means of spamming. Unless otherwise stated by the company, a home number, name, and home address should be sufficient means of contact and follow-up.
