Excellent! Responsive! Flexible! Reasonably Priced! Hands on contractor. Steve and his partner have direct experience in Roofing, Framing, Internal Plastering (important for pegboard/lath and plaster older homes) and External Plastering (stucco) and brings experts in the other trades. He has become my favorite go to contractor for all sorts of work. I would recommend using Steve Foster without reservation. Steve and crew are Licensed contractors with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. I am doing a small remodel on a single family home, have used him on several tasks for this project. Steve's partner worked for a roofing contractor before partnering become a partner. His expertise was tested with the integration of the existing roof to the new roof with ventilation (fan and roof vents). Solar Tube installation into the old bathroom Wall repair for a termite damaged wall, requiring removal of damaged structural wood, reframing of damaged area with re-lathing and Stucco, with placement of electrical outlets and switch. Raining Gutter installation on old construction without fascia board (the eaves are not uniform lengths, so there is no flat surface to place the gutters). This required him to modify each of the eaves to be the same length so a flat surface was present inorder to place the gutter under the roof line.
Description of Work: Installed a new roof on addition with all ventilation and plumbing penetrations as well as integrating old roof to new roof. Solar tube installation. External Wall Repair, Rain Gutter installation. Painting.

Steve was very professional. He came highly recommended by our plumber who suggested that we wait at all costs for time on Steve's schedule. Steve is a master plasterer and is in high demand across Southern California. He has even been asked to do work in Hawaii and central California. Although our job may not have been the biggest, Steve made sure that we got the same treatment that he does for any client big or small. He cleaned up our place spotless and he even recommended a painter and roofer for additional jobs we are likely to do in the future. I would highly recommend him to any Angie's List subscriber as long as you are comfortable working on his open schedule (he will be honest with you about timing and not just promise a job like other contractors and then not show up or be late). The result will be a quality job.
Description of Work: Our 2 story house was built in 1937 and has plaster ceilings and walls. We had a number of cracks over the years and decided now was the time to replaster all of the cracks. In addition, we had a small leak in a pipe and the plumber who fixed the leak had to make several holes in our ceiling to get access to the pipe. Last, we had some broken plaster in our wall from the kids slamming a door against the wall.

Steve showed up with an army of people. I was completely shocked that he was able to get the work completed in one day... well, almost. Some corners were cut, and I had to call him back to finish the job. But Steve was receptive to that. Of all the plaster contractors I met for estimates, Steve was by far the most professional. Hence the biggest ad in yellow pages. All the companies came back to me with the same price. All needed at least 8 days to complete the job, Steve needed 1 and a half. I chose him because of this reason. I was neither overwhelmed by the quality of work or the price. But it had to get done in a timely fashion and it was.
Description of Work: The walls of my condo were stuck in the 1970's - orange peel texture. I hired Steve's company to smooth over them. It included 3 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The whole condo is approximately 960 square feet of floor (I'm not sure how much wall square footage).
