Tom was great. He followed up quickly and gave me the estimates. We had him start on the jobs and he worked around the flooring and painting crews. Tom was very professional. The best work was the upstairs wall unit. He designed and installed a large bookcase with attached drawers on the base. He built it with cherry wood and arranged for the electrical addition. It came out beautifully. I would highly recommend his work.

We originally had Tom come out to give us an estimate to rebuild our bannister and replace the railing for our stairs. We own an old home and the bannister was too low and was quite unsafe. The railing to the stairs had not been attached to the plaster correctly so it was loose and falling down. Tom gave us great ideas and a good estimate. We liked him so much that we started going around the house and getting his input on many other projects that we have planned. As stated above, Tom did a beautiful job. He is a true artist. He would always present us with options and samples, but we generally deferred to his recommendations. Tom pays very close attention to detail, cleans up when he is done, shows up when he says he will and is an all around good guy. He is also very trustworthy and often worked in our house when we were not there. We have many other projects planned for him soon. I would recommend Tom to anyone.

Tom was easy to contact and called back promptly. He showed up at the scheduled time and asked questions and made all of his measurements required. He also left with us a cd with pictures of other similar projects, which was very helpful. His bid came back within about two weeks (I told him we were not under any time-crunch, so this was fine by us and well within our schedule). We ultimately went with another contractor for two reasons. First, Tom's pricing was a little higher than we planned and second, another contractor had more experience and contacts within the planning department of our city. But the decision not to go with Tom was not due to his skill or craftsmanship or any impression of unprofessionalism. He appears to be a quality contractor and I would feel comfortable to go back to him for future projects.

Fantastic! Tom is terrific at finish carpentry work. We have an old spanish home, and it is difficult finding people who have specialized in matching the style and look of the architecture, but not with Tom. He is wonderful person to work with, was extremely professional, capable, prompt, completed the project on time and on budget, and all in all was the perfect man for the job. I'll definitely be hiring him again for more work!

It went very well. I have no complaints. Tom had an assistant part of the time, but did most of the work himself. He obviously cares about doing a high quality, craftsman-like job. He is not such a perfectionist that he takes an excessively long time to get things done. He moves right along, but he takes as much time as needed to do a good job. He was good at communicating when he was coming or if he would be arriving later than planned. Tom is a very nice guy and easy to talk to. He was responsive to my requests and would give me options before proceding on the work. He patiently answered all my questions. Tom was always courteous, consciencious and considerate. For example, I asked him to close the gate before leaving each day, so that the dogs wouldn't escape when I let them out, and he always remembered to do this. I like that both the color of paint that he helped my pick out and the form of the new patio cover look like they would fit it well with either modern architecture or an old Spanish style house because the house is a modern house in the Spanish style.

Tom did a truly amazing job for us. Not only is he a highly skilled craftsman, but he was incredibly professional. Tom did everything just as he said he would, when he would, and completely exceeded our expectations. The whole experience felt like having a good friend helping us out and we're planning on having him back to fix up our kitchen drawers. We highly recommend Tom as one of Angie's List's stars.

He showed up on time, but advised he could not do the work. He was professional and advised who I could call to do the work.

He ended up installing my kitchen cabinet handles. He was on time, professional and thorough. He did a really good.

Awesome! Tom was meticulous about the work from start to finish. From prepping the area (putting up plastic), to measuring and taking his time with the cuts, to the clean-up where he vacuumed the area he worked in. Aside from resizing the buffet, he also removed the moulding around the nook, replaced and caulked it. It loooked as it was never even cut! I am very happy with the work and the outcome.

Tom is a great person. He has done several carpentry jobs for us in the past and I would highly recommend him to anyone in our area. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. His experience shows in his work and his attention to detail.

Returned initial phone call promptly. Came out for estimate within 24 hours. Built mantel ahead of schedule. Installed on time. Was on time and courteous every step of the way.

Tom actually calls you back and calls you in advance of his arrival. If you have worked with any contractors, you will recognize this to be a blessing. He was a nice guy, knowledgeable in woodworking, and willing to take on complicated tasks. I highly recommend Tom.
