PICTURE PERFECT

Picture Perfect performed improper installation and misapplication of irrigation and plantings. Plus, improper pruning of plants and poor workmanship of poured concrete hardscape wall. Plants were installed in zones on the property that were not compatible to the plants needs for sun, shade and water (wrong plants, wrong place). Plants were installed to close together, too high above the soil or too deep into the soil. I now have to hand water 30% of my landscape because the water needs of many plants are not compatible with the water needs of their neighbor. Many plants did not survive. The biggest loss is two 20' pittosporum trees. One tree recently died and the other is dying due to root rot. The reason? Picture Perfect installed plants with high water requirements around the trunk and roots of the trees that are not supposed to get much water nor be covered by plants in the first place. I learned from the city arborist that this is a landscaping "no-no" any professional landscaping company should be aware of. Picture Perfect did a nice job on the exterior lighting and they did re-do the concrete wall that started to fall apart within a week after it was installed. They also replaced a few 1 gallon plants and on September 5th they offered to reimburse me about $800 but I have yet to see a check and I have lost several $1,000.00 in plants, many plants are not performing as intended (wont' flower, have stunted growth), I only have partial use of the irrigation system and my cost to remove the dead pittosporum trees is over $2,000. They also only gave me a few 1 gallon mondo plants to replace about a half dozen, hard to find, water plants that my husband and I personally installed around our entry fountain that were mistakenly trashed by the crew on the first day of work. This review is difficult for me to write because I really do like the management and crew on an interpersonal level. They are a nice bunch with a good "bed-side manner" but workmanship, lighting excepted, was really lousy at my property.

THEY BROKE MY SPRINKLER HEAD AND THEY REPLACED IT THE NEXT DAY WITH A BETTER, NEW ONE. THEY'RE EXCELLENT. THEY TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING ON THEIR OWN AND ONCE IN A WHILE THEY GIVE ME A BILL AND MY WIFE TAKES CARE OF IT.
