MONROVIA GARAGE DOORS

Description of Work: Greg came out on time for an estimate for a new garage door and opener. He measured and pointed out that the concrete on one side was an inch lower on one side but that it could be handled with weather stripping. He quoted a price of a little over $1200.00 for a sectional door with glass windows. |I got an estimate from another (franchise type) and he was $700.00 over on the same door and the exact same opener. Then they tried to sell me an outside wireless keypad for $85.00--the same that was included in Monrovia's estimate. Monrovia also included two remotes for cars--the other gave just one. The franchise then tried to sell more insulation that would put their estimate $1500.00 more. They did not measure as exact as Greg did and never noticed the concrete had sunk a bit on one side. I am going to have Monrovia garage install my new garage door in a few weeks. |

Description of Work: Replaced garage door motor and door hinges and springs.

Description of Work: The owner was very professional and responsible. The only complaint I had (this was about 1 year ago) is the receptionist had some difficulty getting details of my message correct. The owner did respond so it wasn't too much of an issue. |I was glad to find someone in my in my area who was reliable. He was the lowest bid as well.

Description of Work: I contacted several companies to bid replacing an old / broken (wood) tilt-up garage door. My problem was two-fold: 1) I plan to eventually tear-down this garage so i wanted cost to be kept low and 2) the way this garage was built made it (near) impossible to switch to a sectional type. Monrovia garage quickly found a solution that was cost effective, looks & works great. Everybody was very friendly & courteous. My only gripe (this is totally nit-picking admittedly) was the door took a little longer to order than originally expected, but given it was a custom door that had to be cut at an angle, i certainly won't complain. I'd definitely use them again as well as recommend them.
